Guys coming up right now are the softest mankind has ever seen. They play the "game" on okcupid, get an occasional date, and call it a day.

I rolled with guys who were serious about getting laid. We were hungry, and did everything it took. "Get laid or die trying." Did I take it too far? Did I make it too serious? Perhaps, but I worked for it and was rewarded. Guys don't want to work anymore. Easy access to porn probably isn't helping matters. Neither is lower concentration of testosterone.

My little brother is a sharp kid, but man, him and his friends are all addicted to internet/games and consider their behavior normal.

Mixed feelings on this.

Overall yeah I see more guys just going out "with the guys" but I have a hard time respecting them. If I want to hang out with guys I am going to do so sober. If I am going to go out and drink with guys then I sure as shit am not sitting on my ass drinking "just to drink" with the guys.

I can't rationalize pouring booze down my throat to hang out with nothing but dudes (business/networking meetings aside). If I am going to damage my body there better be a high probability of good results.

Also I think Roosh killed this one in terms of new guys being complete pussies.

1) Online dating. This is just horrible for starting in the game. The only thing I can think of for online dating is as follows: finding a city where the chicks like your look. If you get hit up by 6's in city x... But 5's in city y.... Go to city x and do regular night or day game and you'll have no problem bagging 7+'s.
2) inability to find a niche. It takes a long time to carve out solid fishing grounds and again most people don't have the time to do so. Trying to pull chicks when you live at home with the parents is a waste of time nowadays

Basically expect this trend to continue due to cash flow issues for young guys, looks issues as they refuse to improve upon them (gym/clothes) and of course regular confidence issues where they continue to try to hide behind a computer screen.

Yes guys are softer and softer but when it cames to the average guy, he will probably wont get any 8+ and probably struggle to get even a 7. If you didnt get any at 100 approaches will doing another 900 change anything? I would say working on what you have to offer is a much better solution than keep doing what you are doing when you realize you arent getting the results you want. Problem is its takes years to get a lifestyle that would attract that kind of girls. I personally think its taking it too far call me a pussy but i would rather hit the gym or study than deal with bitchiness anymore. ^ I'm going to go a bit against the grain here. You don't really need that much lifestyle.

Once you live in the hot spot in the town (you don't need more than a studio/1br). Dress well... It all comes down to game after that.

It's not like you walk into a club and the girl knows you make X per year.

So sure if you're trying to get to a point where you have ~3K spend a month that's another story but anything after that doesn't do much for you game wise. Just look at all the schlubs making $150K+ a year who can't get laid in a women's prison with a fist full of pardons.

If you make 6 figures, the issue isn't cash flow it's your game, looks and style that you need to work on.

Beta males find strength in numbers, and the herd only moves as fast as the slowest member. In these groups, the weakest link is discouraging others from leaving the circle. They talk you out of approaching. There's nothing wrong with going out with the boys now and again not worry about women, but if you want success with opposite sex, run solo.

But in general, I see guys not approaching as much, and that's never been a lot anyways. When I bang a chick and meet her friends, there's always one in the group that complains about not being able to find a boyfriend. So we go out, and I'm surrounded by 4-6 girls, with tables of dudes all around, and NO guy comes to the table. And none of these girls are unattractive or acting like cunts. In fact, some are begging for a guy to come up and talk.

It's gotten so bad chicks now have to go on the initiative, which is a masculine trait. Women are forced to become manly because of the lack of manliness in men.

Ali, in fairness, a lot of women these days have no idea how to be flirtatious. Something that I've found is not so much a problem with many foreign women. In America, women like to play aloof and indirect and terrified of seeming needy or desperate.
Many guys look for IOIs before approaching a woman because they'd rather go into a warm situation than a cold one.

I know a few of these single girls who always complain about not being approached. When I probe them a bit, it turns out they they never flirt. When they see a guy they like, they don't even smile at him.

That's a good point Speakeasy. The dating scene is broke here. To be successful you just have to push through. It's like dealing with a prospective employer. Some don't seem interested, to the point you don't want to keep initiating contact, but it can pay off. I miss the days when more women showed flirtatious signs, but you can't rely on that as much anymore. Keep it indirect and test the waters.

In short, when you see something you want, make the first move.

I go to clubs because they are fun.

Music, dancing, fucking around etc.

Girls being around are a plus.

There uses to be something called the singles scene. Men and women would go out in pairs, maybe threes, with the intention of meeting someone. That scene is pretty much dead. It still happens in some places, but the heyday is over. Women these days are more likely to be out in a big group, celebrating some chick's "birthday weekend" or with their gay friends at brunch. Where the women go, the men ow suit.

Exactly. Bars and clubs aren't meat markets anymore. That era had it's day, from say the late 60's to the 90's.

Today, both guys and girls have withdrawn to their social circles and living rooms. This ironically means that while they're more anti-social, they're also more likely to be seen in larger groups in bars and clubs. The group serves a shield against meeting new people, not just as a screen for alphas as pickup artists like to claim.

People aren't as comfortable with strangers anymore. Everyone's more guarded, not just young chicks. Online dating has exacerbated this trend, but its also the direct result of it. The upshot is you gotta go against the stream picking up girls in these environments. Don't expect most guys to get it.

That's a huge component of why DC sucks. No one smiles at strangers in public. I've noticed this from traveling abroad and returning here that something is "off" about Americans in public. They're scared or need to project a "busyness" all the time.

Lately I've noticed really cute girls that spot me from afar and then turn their gaze away from me as we walk towards each other -- until the very last second when they glance over and check me out. It's too late at that point since we're at the point of passing each other on the street... Ridiculousness. I should probably just start chasing them down.

Think of approach anxiety and why people feel it - they are scared they will be rejected or publicly humiliated. When a dude is with his friends, that fear goes up 100x.

I've been feeling this way a lot recently, and I can tell you why:

1) The women you meet out are just not impressive. Physically, mentally, spiritually, there is just nothing of value that they bring to their interaction. There are only so many Kardashian watching paper pushing single professionals that "have difficulty losing those last 15 pounds". there are so many times after I came that I just think "that's it, i do not want this woman around me for anything other than her vagina".

I've seen about 3 cold approaches done in my entire life. People just don't go around talking to other people anymore. You see old people going elderly and people look at them like they're crazy

Sometimes I couldn't be bothered to put in the effort to go out and 'game' a girl. I'd rather stay home and do something usefull or just watch tv. When I go out I can generalize into two types of venues:

-Venues for *me*. Places I go after a hard day to unwind. High end cocktail bars like The Varnish. Or a wine bar like Mignon. Places where I can relax, not give a fuck about approaching. I'm not against approaching in these places, but attractive girls don't go to the places I like. Goes to show the quality of women in L.A. in that the hottest ones only hit nightclubs with bottle service and that whole scene. Contrast that with NY where there are just hot women everywhere no matter what type of venue.

-Venues for pickup. The type of place that blasts top 40, offers bottle service, has a line outside. I go to these places when I'm rested, dressed well, wearing cologne, and have some sort of hookup to get in. Sluts galore with 5 guys on each one of them.

Now *here's* what trips me out: when I go to venues that are category II, and I see groups of guys just hanging out with each other. They're all dressed well, groomed, maybe even have a bottle, but it's all dudes! Not one guy is breaking out of the group to approach and they're just standing around drinking and talking. I can't imagine choosing category II to hang out in and just chill with the dudes. It's unfathomable to me. I would also never go to a place like that with a group of dudes in the first place; maybe one or 2 other guys at most. They're either too afraid to approach or talk to girls, or they actually ENJOY just hanging out with guys in an obnoxious, crowded environment with overpriced drinks and lots of guys walking around. I can't figure it out.
