So I'm curious what do you guys drink when you hit the town? I used to be a huge beer guy, and wouldn't even touch the liquor or the mixed drinks, but when I started to get into the "game" and "sarging", I noticed it was making me too sluggish. I still enjoy a good micro brew or European import, but coupled with all the weed I smoke, the brew makes me too sleepy, and low energy, not the kind of vibes you wanna have when you're trying to approach women, be social, etc. in a bar/club setting.

It's funny because I used to be the guy who'd talk shit on other dudes drinking mixed drinks, but now a days I'm all about the good mixed drinks. I pretty much get called out every time by someone for drinking "girly drinks" , LOL but the way I look at is I'm getting drunker than them by drinking strong mixed liquor drinks, and they taste good with less calories than beer. I rarely am in an establishment where they serve bomb cocktails with fresh squeezed juices, syrups, etc. to make some tasty concoctions, but those are really my favorites. From what I hear the cocktail is a revered art form in Japan, which they take very seriously, something the U.S. could learn IMO.

So my staple drinks are simple, Grey Goose/cranberry juice/squeezed limes, and I'll switch off to my new favorite, Patron Silver and pineapple juice. Preferably if there is better tequila I'll get Casa Noble or Frida Kahlo instead of Patron. Really I am a fan of highend tequila, and will often start the night with a shot or two of some high end tequila to sip on.

So what do you guys drink?

I don't drink much, so I let myself to have expensive tastes. Beer and wine make me sleepy but I like it, Vodka let me happy and the jurupinga (sweet grape flavored and cheap, but don't underestimate it... haha) is my weakness.

the sticky = game killer (for most situations)

vodka on the rocks / no mixing allowed except for soda water = game fuel (to a point)

Any mixing of sugar (beer/mixers) into your system leads to a more heavy/unbalanced drunk

Pure vodka equates to a very clear/lucid type of drunk while still removing social inhibitions.

Out here in NorCal we got a brewery in Mendo County that is brewing "Mateveza", yerba mate infused brew, that is high in caffenine and mate properties, but still tastes great like a good IPA. It's the only beer I drink these days, because I get buzzed plus energy, I don't fuck with Red Bull or other artificial energy drinks, unless I am about to fall asleep at the bar. I've also made a pretty good mixer with mate, strawberry lemonade, and reposado tequila.

Red Russian and Caipirinha on certain occasions...I got a couple I like to rotate..I hardly if ever drink beer except for the occasional heineken...

I usually stick to beer, but I've noticed sparks or any other alcoholic energy drink put you in a good high energy mood.

I tend to mix it up. For me alcohol is like caffine until you hit the drink too much. So i pace myself and drink whatever i feel all night, and im good to go.

First of all...cigarettes and gum.

As for drinks, beer (never what's on special, something imported or a microbrew...La fin du monde, Stella, Creemore, Sapporo, Carlsberg (been on a Carlsberg kick of late)), Rye neat (CC and Gibsons' only), Vodka (Belvedere and soda, I also like Caesars but don't order them at the bar because I'm not an asshole), Red Wine (I like nice Chilean cabs).

Sometimes I'll spice it up with a dark rum, like an Appleton's perhaps, occasional Gin & tonic, and the very rare Tequila shot. If I have people or girls over in the summer I usually whip up a pitcher of these warlocks, always a big hit;

Nonpareil's Tequila Sunrise:

In a pitcher combine:

- 12 shots of any Reposado (12 shots is roughly half of a fifth)
- 5-6 cups Non-concentrate yellow lemonade*
- 2 cups Non-concentrate red cranberry juice*
- Lots of ice

(* - If you want to mix it up, you can sub the yellow lemonade for pink lemonade, and the red cranberry juice for white cranberry juice)

And don't skimp. Get the cartons from like Minute Maid instead of frozen, and the Tequila should be a Reposado at least (Blanco is hair tonic). Do not use Cabo Wabo or Patron, drink them straight over ice like you would Scotch.

I'm not a huge fan of beer but when I do have one I like Rolling Rock or Tsing Tao, and The San Miguel Light I had in the Philippines was pretty damn good (or it was the humidity that made it taste so good, hard to say).

If it's summer or hot I like Mojitos or Caipirinhas, other wise it's a Dirty Martini (vodka) or Don Draper's favorite an Old Fashioned.

I live in the Pacific Northwest in Wine Country so I have too many good options that are reasonably priced to even list.

A nice whiskey on the rocks followed by a crisp beer. Certain tastes of the beer are enhanced (especially with crisp beers like Stella) after the whiskey.

Also shots of tequila for those special nights out... yeah, you know the ones (get your raunch on).

The best Cachaça is made in Minas Gerais. They may cost R$100. For the one who don't know, a bottle of Velho Barreiro can cost R$10.
