Johnnie Walker Black, on the rocks.

I've also been drinking Pinch, another blended Scotch that compares favorably with Johnnie Walker.

My favorite, when I'm rewarding myself for some big accomplishment, is Chivas Regal 18- year scotch.

I'm not that into single malts, but I occasionally drink them.

My thoughts? Alcohol = alcohol. I don't think different liquors affect people differently. In my book, vodka or whiskey does this or that really means I drink more than I can handle when somebody brings out the liquor.

I'm on a single malt kick now. I start the night with a MacAllan 12 neat. Sip on that a while. The only beer I drink is Guinness draft. After my first scotch neat and 1 Guinness I switch to Johnny Walker Black and Coke. I can drink that shit likes it's water.

This summer I started experimenting with Gin. Very refreshing. I recommend Hendrix and Citadel.

It is an interesting topic. My own experience is that different alcohol gives you a different buzz. Why? Alcohol is made from different ingredients - corn, wheat, rye, potatoes, cactus etc....These are natural ingredients and will impact your body differently and this impact your buzz differently. If you eat a 1/4 pounder from McDonalds and you eat 4 oz of filet mignon your body should know the difference. Agreed, it is all alcohol so what's the difference? What's the difference from smoking mexi swag weed or indica buds? It's still thc right?

I have no science to back up my beliefs:

Brown liquors like bourbon scotch and whiskey (my favorite) - I hold strong. I won't appear to you to be as drunk as I actually am.

Tequila - fuck it let's party bro! Strip club whatever it is on.

Gin - One gin drink i am super happy and on another planet. 2 and I'm done.

Shnapps, Jager, SoCo - all too sweet. Sugar rush, I get hyper and crash hard. Horrible hangover.

Beer - makes me stupid

Shitty weed vs kind bud obviously has a differing THC content.

40% vodka and 40% whiskey both contain the same amount of alcohol. I don't think drinking one is much different than drinking the other.

I hear you MSW. Think about it this way:

If it takes 3 puffs of kind and 10 puffs of rag weed to get the same amount of thc into your system will you still feel the same? Does your mind and body have the exact same feeling from absorbing the equal levels of thc from kind vs shitty weed?

Do your own experiment. Maybe one day take 2-3 shots of rail vodka ($5 a shot) and see how you feel. Stop for the night. On another night, treat yourself to a MacAllan 18 ($20 a shot) or two and see how your head feels. Stop for the night. Same percentages of alcohol. Flavor and cost aside, see if you notice a difference. If you don't, good for you man, you will save a lot of cash over the years.
