RE: House of Cards (TV)
Season 3 sold out the show completely to political propaganda.

First there was the America Works which is trying to gently ease the younger population into accepting that they won't receive SS and other entitlements. This is a very real political reality for the bankrupt US.

Second, depicting Putin - I mean Petrov - as some oriental savage.

Third, blatant homosexual propaganda.

The show is now unwatchable, I dropped it after the first couple of episodes and won't watch more. I suggest you do the same.

I didn't even make it halfway through the first episode before I deleted the rest of the episodes I torrented. It's obvious where this show has gone, my buddy told me they even brought up the wage gap myth... pretty disappointing

The wage gap myth is the main point for one candidate during the debate episode. Even when the other 2 don't address it during the debate - it gets brought up again.

It's one of those things that is repeated so much it's not even contested by the general public and obviously the producers knew this.

Excluding generational wealth, the only reason men "earn more" is because those clearing over 500k a year are typically men. News flash, there's more male CEO millionaires than women.

Among the average person, women seem to be doing better these days, but they would rather not admit that so they can complain.

I'm holding out hope for one more season, which many are saying is going to be the last season. (13 episodes per season * 4 seasons = 52 episodes = 1 Deck of Cards)

Once it all wraps up, we'll get a better view of how the show's producers and writers summarize all of the characters and the groups they belong too.

So far, I think the main theme of the show has remained on point. Every politician has been painted as narcissistic and power-hungry regardless of age, gender, or sexual orientation. Even the untouchable Solicitor General, Heather Dunbar, gets her hands dirty and tries to throw Frank under the bus by blackmail. Every character at every echelon of politics and media has been painted this way, and that is very politically incorrect.

Our masters are supposed to be altruistic and morally driven, this show would have never seen the light of day on NBC, CBS, or ABC. The truth would have hit wayyyy to close to home.

The majority of your voting populace as well as demographic who watches television are females. The show would be remiss not to cover the issues you covered just as your local Democrat would be if he/she were to just talk about the economy and the national debt. That stuff, while important, would be a ratings killer, and render you unelectable.

Stamper throws out that vibe too. Frank is lucky to have both of them in his back pocket. I can see things getting real dark if Frank utilizes both of these guys effectively next season.

In both cases, Frank saw dysfunctional people and groomed them to get their undying loyalty. In the case of Meechum, he saved his bacon when he fired his gun in DC. In return he so loyal, he'll literally suck Frank's cock.

With Stamper, he saved him from his addiction.

Franks a sociopath and can recognize people he can manipulate.

Take care of those titties for me.

Well that season was a wash, but after the last episode it recommended "Peaky Blinders". I'm three episodes in and I think this is one of the best shows I've seen on Netflix.

RE: House of Cards (TV)
The second season was just so much darker. I was really hoping that with this season, they would "go there", basically continue the dark descent of Frank. However in Season 3 they have actually taken a big step back. Im about halfway done with the season, and at this point it seems that this is a show they will try to drag out as long as they can, rather than make a show that tells a story with a planned ending. This season is completely off course of the prior two. I almost wonder if when they started the show, they did have a planned story arc, but due to its success they made the writers squeeze in more fluff (this entire season) to prolong the show I fear the show will only go downhill from here. A shame, because it really had such potential.

RE: House of Cards (TV)
The entire 3rd season seems like a setup for the 4th season. As far as i know, they haven't ordered a 4th season but its expected. They are actually being smart about this and taking their time. Given that the real elections aren't till Nov '16, they got the perfect opportunity to launch the next season, that's likely to be all about Frank's re-election, during an actual election.

I don't really get how this show is promoting feminism or girl power since every character here is portrayed as a power hungry, manipulative opportunist regardless of gender. Not everything you watch has be judged on weather its 'red pill', even though i think this show is very red pill. If you analyze everything you watch with that lens then it becomes increasingly impossible to enjoy any TV/Film entertainment. If we do that than we are not much better than a feminist blogger who launches a shit-storm over a bikini commercial.

Another thing that didn't really make sense in season three is that they just dropped Mendoza. The dude was a major player and potential opposing candidate after the primaries and then he's just gone with a quick update from Frank's fourth wall soliloquy. That's it.

This show seems to have a huge female following. Funny how they get their panties wet over depictions of strong men doing dark things. My fave episode was Spacey going south on the intern while she was on the phone with her dad.

It's more than a rumor, more like an open secret. I know someone in DC who said when Spacey was there for filming he would make is boy-trysts sign a non-disclosure agreement before getting freaky with them. Obviously that measure didn't help in the discretion department.

I like how they played it during the last GOP debate. Played like a campaign ad, so I wasn't paying attention until I heard his voice. Pretty brilliant advertising right there.

Season 4 is fucking terrible. Its all about Claire

Its my worst nightmare. I'm 9 episodes in. You keep hoping its going to go somewhere but it never does. It only gets worse as time progresses. Don't do it.

Goodbye House of Cards. You used to be a great show.

I just started it but after seeing this "all about Claire" post my hope is that it will do a huge shift at the end.

Claire is like Skylar from Breaking Bad, always ruining everything.

"Christian love bears evil, but it does not tolerate it. It does penance for the sins of others, but it is not broadminded about sin. Real love involves real hatred: whoever has lost the power of moral indignation and the urge to drive the sellers from temples has also lost a living, fervent love of Truth."
