Star Trek Writer Apologizes for Lingerie Scene
Damon Lindelof, , co-writer/producer for the latest Star Trek movie apologized to address a "controversy" regarding an Alice Eve scene in her lingerie.

He apologized on his twitter and said he was not trying to be misogynistic.

The article also calls for more "gender parity" in the movie.

Link to the article:

http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-talk...22662.html

Some interesting excerpts from the article:

Quote:Women of America – particularly female "Star Trek" fans – co-writer/producer Damon Lindelof has something to say to you: There was no practical reason for Alice Eve to appear in her lingerie in "Star Trek Into Darkness," and he's sorry for that.

Quote:Some naysayers are pointing out that playing up Eve's sexiness seems especially galling given how dramatically men outnumber women aboard the Starship Enterprise, with Lt. Uhura (Zoe Saldana) as the only female officer on board. Perhaps Lindelof and Abrams could consider adding some new female crew members in the next movie, in a bid to come closer to gender parity in the Final Frontier.

Hollywood is definitely becoming more "beta". Seriously, putting an actress in lingerie who has done nude scenes previously is now considered "misogynistic". Just unbelievable.

Yeah, but it is a man who is apologizing and saying he didn't mean to be "misogynistic". First of all, this guy needs to look at the definition of misogyny. If he really does not agree with the feminists and does not want to take them head-on to not hurt his profile, the least he can do is shut up and not apologize.

I remember Roosh posted a link to a Huffington Post video which had a PUA and a few other men and a couple of women debating "manosphere" and PUA culture. The harshest critics were the two male losers in that video. As long as men in power (media, politicians, executives, and guys like this writer) continue to bend to feminist demands, there is really no hope for the future.

It's Star Trek. What do you expect?

I'll saythis over as over: nerd culture and feminism deserve each other.

I got to admit, as a Star Trek fan I'd heard complaints from fans on message boards, yes including male fans, about this scene months before the movie was even released.

Yup. Dorky virginal Trekkies were complaining that Alice Eve in lingerie was misogynistic long before this apology and in fact are responsible for the brouhaha to begin with - not Jezebel, not the National Organization for Women, but fucking white knight fanboys.

What's happened to America? Just a few years ago nerds would have been at the forefront of demanding tits and ass to salivate over at comic book conventions and in movies and video games.

There really is none! Every single Western country is now feminist, and most Hollywood movies these days portray mean as "weak" and women as 'strong'. Look at Iron Man 3 for example, Pepper was a strong woman, wasn't she?

Yeah, exactly. This relates to what I said in my previous post. How is a woman in lingerie "misogynistic"? This is really mind-boggling.

Proof? Those nerds were probably put up to it by their friends, who were girls. Get it?

RE: Star Trek Writer Apologizes for Lingerie Scene
I hate how these new Star Trek don't look like the original one (even though I find Star Trek to be dull and dorky as shit) at least these new ones are titilating, I was watching Star Trek: Insurrection the other day and thinking: Damn, not only does this movie have no sex, I highly doubt anyone who wrote this movie has had sex.

I guess the white-knightery throws out the usual feminist rebuke of Red Pill: that we are a bunch of angry sex starved dorks: apparently, sex starved dorks rather be fucked with a strapon.

Kirk was a womanizer in this one as well. He did sleep with two alien women at first. And tries hitting on another woman later on. Also there is a the bald black woman in the front in the new Star Trek as well. Never watched the old Star Trek, looked boring. I like the action approach.

What an evil guy, forcing the director and actress to shoot the scene against their will. Writers are getting out of hand in Hollywood.

Beauty is the one trait that exemplifies genetic inequalities between people and even the PC brigade knows this so they try to neutralize every instance of it.
