It can only be 1. My mum was raised in a super conservative village in India, and only went to the local village school until she was 12. She was kept under lockdown until she had an arranged marriage with my dad, who brought her to UK.

I agree completely with the part about "love". My grandparents aren't really affectionate or love-dovey with each other. "Love" fades over time as those and if you don't have anything else to keep the relationship going...well just look at the divorce rates these days.

I think what really throws people off is that idea that "love" is a choice. For the average girl, "Love" is the first man who fucks her (provided it's not horrible sex). That's the idea behind keeping a daughter a virgin for as long as possible and getting her married off as soon as possible. Increase the odds of a good marriage by making sure the first man she has sex with is a good man who can provide.

When I was going through my divorce, I talked to my mother a lot about this and that, and some of the stuff I was going through.

During one talk, she said something along the lines of my father not being 'experienced'.
I wish I could remember the exact verbiage she used, but I remember the first thing that popped into my head when she said that, was that my father lost his virginity to my mother.

It's funny, because the aunts and uncles on my father's side would occasionally talk about my father's promiscuity. Not so much "your dad was slaying poosy left and right", but there were usually inferences during holidays that (when an applicable subject came up) my father was the player back in the day.

Conversely, my grandfather (on my mother's side) lived in the same house all his life, including when my mother (and her brother and sister, ie my uncle and aunt) grew up. And we would have all the family get togethers there.

To this day, most of the families that lived there 50+ years ago still live there in one way or another (the area is prime waterfront property). In most cases the house was passed down a generation.

Whenever my cousin and I would walk around the old neighborhood with my uncle, he would point out the spots where, when they were all younger, would be the places all the guys knew to take the girls to almost guarantee some sort of action.

Fast forward to a neighborhood reunion last year. There had to be about 45-50 people from my mother's generation there, I'd say about 30 guys.

Over the course of the day, there were at least 10 guys (that I saw) chat it up with my mother, and in some way mention at least one of the spots my uncle pointed out.

My father was a player, but I think my mother has a higher notch count.

Last week, while alone with my father for a few days, and talking about what his criteria was back in the day for how to find a good wife, I casually asked him if my mother had any boyfriends she was still in contact with, after they got married many years ago.

He said:

"I know your mother had boyfriends before me, but she never talked about them, and I never asked."

I found this reply really strange considering they have been married for decades.

Even if I know that all women lie about the number of past boyfriends, and have absurd criteria for what does (and does not) "count" as sex...I don't think I could ever marry a woman who kept a whole portion of her past secret from me throughout our whole marriage.

I can totally understand if it's a LTR girlfriend or just another girl you're banging.
But your wife and possible mother of your children ?
Who you will (eventually) be together with for decades ?

That kind of don't ask/don't tell set-up would never give me enough confidence in that woman to get married with her in the 1st place.
If I didn't know her past (at least the version she claims is true), then I'd always feel like I'm marrying a stranger or someone who will always want to hide things from me.

I know you can never trust women anyway...but total ignorance would not be possible for me in a marriage situation.

Before I rip my mom let me make it clear - I think she's a good person. She's a bit selfish, is disgusted with beta behavior, and I can tell she has some secrets. But they all do right? Anyway:

-The girls she stayed in touch with from highschool are all hoes. She liked bad boys and surfer brahs back in the day.

-She's not an alcoholic, but likes getting sloppy drunk a couple times a month even to this day. Used to be once a week when I was younger. Was probably even more before she married my dad.

-After meeting on a blind date and going through a courtship process that sounded cringeworthy, my father asked my mom to marry him, and she said no. She immediately went on a Spring Break type vacation with one of her hoe-bag girlfriends. She's told a story about how the friend left her stranded for a night to get banged out by a random (never mentions where SHE went after her friend stranded her ). After several months of doing lord knows who/what, she came back to my poor beta father, saying that she changed her mind and was sorry. He married her.

-Definitely lies about her past.

-Recently told my father she'd be "ecstatic" if he had an affair so that he'd stop trying to fuck her.

She got married at 25ish, I'm 75% sure she never cheated on my dad, so I would guess about...

Only one, my father.

My mom was 16 when they first met, at a coffee shop, my mom and her friend were giggling about something and my father came up to them and asked them what the joke was. My father's almost 30 years older than my mom.

They started dating at some point and married when she was 21.

Technically she'd already "met" him before at some point before when she was much younger, he'd given a speech and she was in the audience.

My father's notch count is somewhere in the 800's. He said he doesn't know how many, but that it's somewhere in there. A lot of it was P4P though, he had free access to 100's of women due to a scheme his allies and him had going on. He said he would have a different woman for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Until he had to go to the doctor and the doctor told him he had to slow it down. Not all of it was P4P, he slept with the dean of my university also, that was before he met my mom. He said they dated, but she (my dean) realized her economic potential was greater than his and she bounced.

As far as I know he's never cheated on my mom, or at least he's never even mentioned it, much less admitted to it, and if he did, has never been caught. My mom would leave him if he did, she puts up with a lot, but she wouldn't put up with that. I think he reached a point where he was like, "Ok, I made it this far in one piece, it's time to start behaving..."

Several times, I've overheard my mom say something along the lines of "your father is the maximum to me..." She always talks about how handsome he is (he actually is, legitimately, handsome). He's the only guy she's ever been with. She basically worships him, he's in his 80's now so over the years she's gone from a lover to a caretaker. Even though the relationship has changed over the years, she's still under the impression that if she were to leave, my father would find a new girlfriend/wife promptly. She came from a family of attorneys and businesspeople and chose to be the best mom in the world instead.

They have a really healthy relationship, my father is kind of like cocky/funny, without ever having read anything about PUA...he teases my mom all the time. I once showed him a book I was reading, "The Manual, What Women Want and How to Give it to Them," and he harrumphed and said, "Habla de la dominancia masculina y el poder del misterio?" Translation: "Does the book go over masculine dominance and the power of mystery." So yeah.

My father will sometimes make offhand comments like, "Tu mama, no me conoce." Translation: "Your mother, she doesn't know me." As a politician, in my father's mind, the more you divulge of yourself, the more the other knows you, and the more power they have over you. So it behooves you to keep others guessing, about your capabilities, about your intentions, etc.

My marriage will most likely be modeled along those lines, the age gaps between myself and the girls I date keeps widening as I get older, from 3 years, to 8 years, to 14 years, etc. I'd probably not go as high as a 30 year age gap...I think 20 is good, but who knows, I seem to age slower than other people, like my father, so we'll see.

But yeah, if your value is high enough that you can get a beautiful virgin wife much younger than you from a good family, it's a great deal. Just make sure she's humble, otherwise if a war or some other event outside of your control rocks your assets/income streams/power, you could lose her, as depending on her beauty, she could still have many suitors trying to take her away from you, before and after she has kids. Unforeseen circumstances or not, you have to be tremendously on point, and the reality is that only a very small percentage of men can pull it off.
