2 things..

1. true lack of chemistry. this is brutal cause in that case nothing clicks and the intimacy is actually shitty

Yep, generously adding malicious deeds to your past is clearly one of the most successful strategies to live a content and regret-free life.

Alternatively you could just be gracious, and simply say "be that as it may, I for one really enjoyed my time with you and I wish all happiness in future, take care of yourself XYZ".

If you'll notice the popular response of "yeah, I never felt like I had a connection with you" isn't outright mean or hurtful. The point of this, imo, is to not give them the satisfaction of them thinking they hurt you or that bad sex would've even been your fault.

Only an utter cunt would say something like that anyway. The "gain", if there is one, is that maybe if fewer bitches get away with this shit feeling good about it then it will happen less.
