It's a second day since I started taking Phenibut as described in the link in the OP. I've definitely noticed an overall improvement: mood, concentration, lack of anxiety, etc. This stuff is great, and it's sold in my country of residence as an over-the-counter drug, very cheap too.

I DO have a question for you guys. I have GABA pills ("Now Foods" 750 mg.) which I bought some time ago, but never got around to properly taking them. Do you think I should take them to supplement the Phenibut regimen, or do you think it'll be overkill, or just plain redundant?

I've tried Adrafinil from them, and it was great. 2 capsules of their Adrafinil was like one tablet of Modalert.

I've seen nothing but positive reviews regarding the company on eBay and Amazon. Just hadn't tried anything other than their Adrafinil yet.

So I took this stuff about 5-6 times in the last couple weeks, here is my experience. TL; DR below

First off, this "supplement" is extremely dangerous, and unless you actually have some anxiety-related issues you're trying to resolve, then there is really no reason to be messing with this stuff in the first place. It is not a "PUA wonder drug", and if you need phenibut in your system to make approaches then you probably need to work on inner game rather than throwing powder at it.

A little about my experience level, I've tried pretty much most of the recreational drugs you have heard of, usually in vastly higher doses and amounts than the average person. I'm just wired like that I guess, it never seemed to affect the rest of my life in a significant way. I've been there, done that.

Against the general consensus, I took this stuff 5 days or so, in a row, in 2000mg doses (this was a horrible idea, I thought my tolerance could handle it). On the sixth or seventh day I was too busy that morning so I skipped it that day. Thats when the withdrawls began. I've only been through drug withdrawals once in my life, and that was when I stopped taking opiates. This completely legal bullshit supplement gave me withdrawals worse than any bad experience I've ever had before.

I didn't even realize what was going on at first. I was just really depressed and I couldn't figure out why. I hadn't felt this insecure and unsure of life since like middle school teenage angst and all that bs. For the first time in a very long time, my cup was indeed half empty. All the physical side effects that came with a lot of what I learned from game and the forum (good posture, body language, overall presence) seemed to deflate and shrink. I felt small, and holding my back and shoulders straight felt artificial and contrived. When you're on phenibut your face looks really sunken in and cracked out and that didn't help my self image. It seems to take forever for it to fill back out. My sex drive has since taken a huge plummet. Im no fapping by default. Not cause of some great cause to improve myself.

If you have ever taken a lot of mdma, then you know what the "come down" is like, and how horrible it can be. This feels a lot like that. Except there isn't a crazy night of partying and being high with girls in brightly colored underwear. You basically get a massive come down without anything to really counterbalance it. In smaller doses it seemed to be a complete waste of time with similar adverse effects just slightly less pronounced.

I shrugged most of this off on the first day, anyone who has been to a rave knows whats up, but after 5-6 days of this shit, waking up at 3am for no reason, covered in cold sweat I realized this is beyond even what ive been through. Shit if you read the last ~7 forum posts I've made before this my negativity comes through clearly, even in writing. On the summer thread I basically bitched about how shitty my summer was, even though I didn't see it that way just 1 week prior.

Eventually I just had to step away from the forum for a few days because every thread and ROK post made me feel like my LTR was cheating on me with 12 black dudes or some shit. I was just extrapolating negative information and erroneously applying it to my own life situation. My inner frame took a serious hit, and I can feel that's its all chemical. All my positive reference experiences, the notches I acquired recently would normally create an inner fire I could tangibly feel. Now its like I know their present but I just feel...indifferent.

There is a clear sense of depletion (my seratonin levels) and a clear sense of a long wait before they are back to their highest ever levels.

The good:
-music sounds a little better. NOTHING at all like MdMa. I wonder if the people who claimed that have actually ever been on mdma
-you're a little bit more chatty than usual. Like if you drank two red bulls in quick succession. It doesn't make you into some social superman though
-I orgasmed harder when having sex, this part was nice

The bad:
-makes your face sunken in and cracked out looking
-fucks up your appetite
-tolerance builds RAPIDLY
-Feel like a crackhead weighing this strange white powder in my room every morning
-your skin gets all clammy and balmy, like if you're on amphetamines or some sort of very strong stimulant
-sleep is negatively affected

TL; DR: took too much, caused an 8 day mdma like comedown. Waking up at random hours covered in sweat, not falling back asleep till 6AM, I didn't follow directions and I'm an idiot. Nonetheless this stuff is shit and you should stay the fuck away. Just google it and spend 15 mins reading about about other people's similar "joyful experiences".

Sorry about the rant guys, but you are my niggas. If I can keep just one of you from feeling what I feel right now then it was worth it.

The good aspects aren't even that great. A healthy lifestyle and inner game shits all over phenibut. It just didn't feel right. Even at the safe and correct dosage and frequency.

It's a tool. You can build a house or shoot yourself in the head with a nail gun. I haven't seen anyone anywhere recommend taking this more than 3 days in a row. Everyone with any experience with this stuff will tell you... follow the protocols: don't take too much or too often, and drink lots of water. Even if you're taking too much of this stuff, and clearly you were, you can mitigate a lot of these side effects/withdrawal symptoms by hydrating properly. By following the proper protocols, I'm able to almost completely eliminate the side effects.

Again, this isn't a PUA Wonder Drug; it's a tool. For someone who wants to be socially relaxed it's a great tool, especially for introverts. You can spend $30-50 nursing $6-10 drinks all night and maybe drink a bit too much and lose your edge, or you can use $1-3 worth of phenibut over the course of the evening and completely control the effects (again, follow the protocols that are out there) and be able to drive without worrying about DWIs. GoodLookingLoser has some good recommendations for how to use Phenibut. I'm somewhat more conservative even than he is with my dosage, but I've found Chris's advice to be solid in general and on Phenibut in particular.

I use this stuff around 5-6 times a month. It was designed to help cosmonauts relax, but still be able to fly a spaceship. $100 will buy you a year's supply, even if you like to give some to your friends. If you use it, use it responsibly. It probably won't alter the course of history, but it may help you get laid. It does that for me.

I actually did read GLL's article on it before I ordered, and the first two times were done exactly that way. The thing was that aside from some discomfort in the background which went away for a while, it didn't really do much. And he did say that different people would need to figure out the right dosage for themselves. I didn't notice the "good" effects until about 2000mg in, and I kept that dosage going for a few days after that.

One thing I want to add is that the bad effects didn't really start manifesting right away. This stuff has a pretty long half life and takes a while to work through your system completely. I was able to handle taking Gabapentin, which is supposed to be stronger than this, as an antidepressant everyday for quite some time, so I felt my body could handle it. But Phenibut is chemically different I guess, even though it also affects the gaba receptors in a similar way, if only much weaker. But gabapentin never gave me the nasty after effects that came with Phenibut.

After reading through countless reddit threads that report similar experiences, even with people that took ~1500mg doses I think made the right choice by tossing it in the bin. But people are all wired different, maybe I'm particularly sensitive to it.

Tried it a few times. Effects seem very hit or miss. Got black out drunk trying it twice. I rarely get that drunk and am not a big drinker normally but this stuff definitely increases the effects of alcohol dramatically. If I drink more than three drinks on it I just keep drinking with no off switch to the point of blacking out after six or seven drinks. Horrible, horrible hang over the next day. I stay away from this stuff.

These negative reviews on this page are from people who abused it. One clearly over did it for a extended time frame even though he knew he should not, and one mixes it with to much alcohol. Its like saying the sun is bad for you cause you laid out in it for 12 hours with no sunscreen and got sun burnt. Or to stay the hell away from Red Bull cause you drank a gallon of it one time and it made you have anxiety and shit your pants. You can't villainize a product because you knowingly abused it......

I can appreciate the stories as more warning for what NOT to do with Phenibut. I can't however get down with saying that its the devil and to keep away from it cause you abused it.

Sorry to hear you had a such a bad time on it. I've heard the dependence withdrawals are hell. You are right, Phenibut is dangerous when abused..and it certainly sounds like you did.

I haven't heard of the "sunken face effect". Perhaps that is more likely to occur when you are hooked on it...similar to a heroin addict or meth head?

Regarding your seratonin levels have you tried out 5-HTP?


Lastly, you mentioned hellish comedowns on MDMA. These can actually be prevented by supplementing. Here is a great thread on it.

Thanks for the kind words, and no I havent tried 5-HTP I will definitely look into it. Currently I use B-complex to battle low seratonin levels.

I guess I need to clarify a bit.

The first two times I did it, I followed GLL's basic guide. Aside from the sunken face and a little stomach discomfort, it didn't really do anything. The sunken face effects showed up the same day within 5 hours or so, and this was at a time when I was consuming insane amounts of protein and had a nice full healthy-looking face. What I'm saying is that it still felt "off", even in the right dosage.

After that I began experimenting with higher doses, since I had experience with daily use of gabapentin the antidepressant, and a little bit after that was when the unpleasant side effects began. After reading about it extensively, Phenibut can permanently alter your brain's GABA receptors, even with prolonged "responsible" use. This is why I'm gonna have to join the "stay away" camp. It has the potential of rewiring your brain in very serious way. But you are right, I abused it because I thought I can handle it and I was wrong.

Its still bad juju via the general consensus on here, reddit, bluelight and many other forums.

I can't find the post I read on bluelight because I was frantically skimming through dozens of threads, but the guy had a background in pharmacology and gave a lot of really good insights as to why it takes the brain so long to recover from Gaba-B type antagonists. You have to push it quite far to get permanent damage but is indeed possible.

My phenibut experience has been interesting. Nerves are definitely gone (I have bad anxiety to the point that I feel it somewhat physically)

I haven't experienced the negative affects yet. I think its cause I'm stacking it alongside theanine, caffeine and noopept. My sleep has been great, dreams fucked up, waking up not hungover. This stack is amazing that I can drink a whole mickey and couple beers and still be totally aware and not slurred blacked out out.

I do think phenibut is greatly overrated, and is being propped up by the other supplements in my stack.

just an fyi - I wanted to mention this on this thread though; I work with a nutritionist and he had me try something called Phytozon . He said it quickly creates the correct physiology between the brain and the body. He had me try it because I have allergies that often cause brain fog and fatigue.

Well, I've been on it three days and notice a definite difference. I have energy the whole day. I am approaching more and am just more natural in my approaches. Even other things, like when I play my guitar....I'm just more coordinated and play the chords and notes much cleaner as if it truly is helping my mind and body be coordinated much better.

It's a nutritional supplement made of herbs/roots, etc. Don't know if it'll work for everyone, but my nutritionist said all of his patients have benefited from it.

Tried phenibut a few times 2-3 months ago. First time I tried it was before I had to go to work (bartender), it made me really sociable and happy, felt really good.

Next couple times I tried it, it had almost no affect. And I had waited a week between the dose. It was interesting trying it but I wouldn't buy it again as I don't need that stuff anymore. I have a whole packet left if anyone wants it but you would have to be leaving near me. SA, Aust.

I also have armodafinil left over.

I posted in here a while back that I took a recommended dose of about 1g and didn't feel anything. Put the stuff on the back burner since then and figured either it didn't work or I was resistant to it.

Well, last night I decided to up the dosage and also use my digital scale to weigh the stuff. I think the tiny spoon that came with it (Primaforce) is way underdosing the servings. Using a digital scale, I ended up putting WAY more powder into my water than before.

I took it around 4pm and went to BJJ around 6. Wasn't noticing anything too much.

After BJJ (about 3 hours after dosing) I had a SIP of moonshine and left my house. By this time I was feeling slightly buzzed. As if I had way more moonshine than I did.

While driving I noticed I was way more "into" the music than usual. I was getting really really into singing and enjoyed the sreallongs a lot more.

Socially-wise, I didn't notice a huge difference. I was in a pretty good mood for the whole night and drank a little more later on. I expected to get hit hard with drunkenness but felt fine actually.

Phenibut seemed to help a lot with anxiety for me. As an anxious guy, one weird thing I deal with is pissing all the time. I constantly feel like I have a full bladder and really struggle with getting to sleep and not waking up constantly. Instead, last night I was downing water like a motherfucker. I was really, really thirsty for some reason. I was drinking alcoholic drinks as if they were water, and ordering several glasses of water in addition. Once I got home and had sex, I had like two full bottles of water. I only pissed twice the entire evening which is fucking INSANE to me. Not only that, but I fell asleep almost immediately and slept soundly the entire night. I woke up feeling a little foggy at first, but after about 5 minutes of being awake I was feeling WIRED with energy. Like hyper and positive as fuck. Went to BJJ and tore it up, physically felt awesome.

It's been over 24 hours since my first and only larger (2g) dose yesterday. Overall feeling good and sociable , good energy and been listening to music like NON-STOP. Really weird but enjoyable.

So I guess my main takeaway is to make sure you are dosing phenibut accurately. I was hardly having 200mg before but now on 2g the difference is acute. I have no experience with psychotropic drugs before this but I am liking it so far.

Not going to take another dose for a week, as suggested by many people.

I threw my back out last week, phenibut works better than my prescription muscle relaxers, aspirin, or naproxen as a pain reliever for the muscle ache portion of the pain. Sharper pain isn't noticeably decreased. Really took me by surprise as I was walking along and realized I didn't hurt anymore, Googled it and see it's noted for this.

How does noopept stack up to the otheer racetams? I thought it was pramiracetam but it seems this isn't the case.

I have GAD and I found phenibut really helpful, but I don't rely on it. My dose is about 3.5 grams, but I only take it once every two weeks. I'll occasionally take Valium when my anxiety acts up. Phenibit+Valium will take your game to new heights. Just don't abuse the stuff. I gave up drinking and if anything my inner game has gone up, but like I said, game is game. Anxiety is not mental; this has been proven. We all have to find different, but mainly healthy ways to cope.

I had the Liftmode type mentioned above, and have used three quarters of the container, over about 6-7 months. I've probably taken it 15 times or so. I've drank most times I took it. My purpose for getting it was to get a strong buzz from smaller amounts of alcohol.

I've found that it does make me very social and talkative in a bar situation. I even took it for a job interview once (didn't get the job, but thought I made a good impression). However, I've found that I can't seem to cum when I've taken it, so I don't like it for that reason alone. Also, I find I get a noticeable hangover effect. It's not the same as an alcohol hangover. I feel burnt out, and it can last all the next day, with some hints noticeable the second day after, on some occasions.

One thing I actually like is that on the next day, while I'm feeling a little burnt, I've had strong sexual thoughts, where the sexiness of sex is actually more noticeable, and the idea of fucking a hot chick is extremely erotic. However, like I said, if I have sex in this state, I can't get off.

Besides finding sex to be sexier, I find many other aspects of life to be more intense. I've had the same experience with acid and mushrooms, although far stronger. I consider this the most positive part of the experience, and the easy chattiness and synergy with alcohol to be the second best.

All in all, I've found myself doing it only on rare occasions. Used it this past Saturday when going to a party, but it had been maybe 6 weeks since the previous use.
