Yeah, their uncle could barely contain his anger. I've seen the interview twice now, here. He's shouting and furious for a long duration, calling them "losers" and bad people, in general. He shifts tone a bit and says he's a proud immigrant, loves the States, and is thankful for all the opportunities he perceives for having immigrated. He bashes them (the suspects) some more and tells his nephew to turn himself in and face the consequences.

At the end of the press conference, he addresses the victims and their families and says: We, as a family, are grieving with you. I welcome the opportunity to meet with you and I will bend before you and beg for your forgiveness on behalf of my entire family.

Now reporting here that they have the younger brother located and holed-up.

I give this stand-off 3 hours before the kid commits suicide or is killed.

I respect their uncle, he seems to be a good guy. But just something about these kids doesn't add up. So they were living in Boston by themselves? Was it just the older brother taking care of the younger one? Who supported them financially?

This is much bigger than your little summary reason, a religion that breads this type of person is not going to just lay around peacefully just because the U.S. withdraws military forces. It never has at any moment in history BEFORE the United States and it isn't going to start now.

Thank you for your reply. I didn't infer that the victims are to be blamed. But there are victims on the other side too, thousands of times as many, of the unjustified wars and occupations and coups sponsored of the US. Your media doesn't show those pictures doesn't mean their sufferings are any less. Most of the times it has nothing to do with religion and everything with geopolitics. Christians have been the most brutal people in history (try to find out what percentage of women were raped in the Americas, not of talk of wiping out of entire civilizations), but I doubt it was because Christianity taught them that. Of course religion is one of the binding factors through which people feel connected to each other just as nationality is. But if that's a crime, then we're all criminals.

I'm not saying it's all only US's fault, but they certainly do a lot to create such monsters. If the innocent people bombed in Afghanistan and Iraq (and their sympathisers), decide to take up arms against 'America', it would be wrong to say it's because their religion teaches them that. I do not condone that behaviour at all but to say that the religion breads that, in my opinion, is nothing but wishful thinking.

Pretty funny... They keep showing the interview with the uncle here and every time I hear something with even more "win." The press asks him about why the suspects did this and he says, "Because! They are LOSERS!" who could not settle themselves into the culture, so therefore they hated others who did. Any suggestion that this is about religion or nationalism is a facade and completely false. The two kids are just disassociated and unpopular losers who could not assimilate into the American way of life, so they tried to destroy it. Pretty much the same story as a lot of the recent massacres in the States. Losin'-ass dipshits who will never fit in snap one day and BOOM.

This, to me, is dumbfounding. 9000 police investigating a crime scene, you have 4 days to get away and yet you abruptly attempt to rob a convenience store 5 minutes from the explosion site.

It seems like if the two of them had just laid low, they would not have been able to be conclusively identified from the photos that were released. Certainly not the older brother. Several people that were interviewed said the picture of the younger brother didnt jog their memory.
