I've seen guys at the Future Shop (big electronics shop chain in Canada) who are drooling over say a nice big flat screen tv but yet have to call the wife or worst, the gf, to ask for permission to buy it using HIS own freaking money! How could anyone respect a guy (I have a real hard time using the word "man" in cases like that) ever again?

While I generally agree on the others, I disagree on this one. "I never hit her" is the embodiment of manliness and something a real Alpha will say. If a woman's hamster starts going in to overdrive and a man feels he might react to her hamster by getting physically violent, he needs to leave right away before he does something that can get him arrested.
