After re-watching the slimmed down game tape I don't feel sorry for the Cavs at all. The Cavs may get swept, but likely 4-1 as Lebron can will a win solo if he really needs to.

This is karma for Lebron meddling with the Union and CBA behind the scenes. You can't blame him as he wanted full market value for his performance and he hand twisted the union to bend to his demands. The new CBA with the crazy money rules is all because of Lebron and he created the climate where through loopholes Golden State could lure the 2nd best player in the league to come play with them.

Lebron envisioned himself being able to stack up super teams where he could get his money and make sure all the rest of his players got paid also. But we see know it has backfired.

The reason the Cavs likely won't win this series is that GSW has exposed the Cavs lacklustre defence raw. KD is purely an X factor and he can get 30 in his sleep the way the Cavs are constructed. The Cavs have nobody, I repeat nobody, who can match up well with KD. Actually, I take that back, there is one player who matches up well defensively with KD and that is Lebron James. That is the catch. This is how GSW has trolled Lebron this year because the only person to limit KD will have to be Lebron himself.

The thing is Lebron's defence is fine. It is just he routinely rests on defence and gets bums on his defence assignments. Maybe at the bottom of the court so he can get the ball quickly to transition into fast breaks off rebounds. Kevin Love or Triston Tompson can't guard KD as both are damn slow. You will run Love into the ground chasing around KD all game so it isn't wise to keep him on him. Dudes like JR Smith and Shumpert are well undersized, the only option is Lebron.

Will Lebron, be up to the task?

I don't expect a blowout again in this series but GSW will stomp on the neck of the Cavs the second they start getting lazy on defence.

GSW is rolling on another level. Not even due to the scoring ability, but it is because of the defence skills they can use to shut down the Cavs, every matchup will make them dudes work and grind out baskets. The only two who will get buckets with no problems are Lebron and Irving.

GSW can keep this all going as well. KD has already trolled in saying he would be open to re-negotiate his deal. If GSW pulls them off my guess is he will and GSW will continue to attempt to purely troll Lebron and the Cavs. KD understands he has enough money ten times over from NIKE and endorsements, why be greedy?

Lebron has been wanting to send a message that he needs to be the highest paid, or damn near close the highest paid, a player in the league. I can agree with him on that, but the way he has gone about it in manipulating the CBA for his own gain is showing its ugly head.

This is the monster Lebron created.

Because of Lebron the rest of the teams now starve with thin benches as the good teams just load up on secondary complementary players. It will continue to be a 4-5 team race in the league until young teams who have been drafting well evolve into the next level (Bucks & Sixers).

Agree with all that, except the Sixers will continue to Sixer. I predict they will continue to suck for the forseeable future, either drafting bad, making bad trades, or not keeping good players. Their management has and will continue to be horrendous.

Haven't given up on the Cavs yet. Their odds are still better now than when they were down 3-1 last year and came back to win (let's not forget G7 was in GS, and two of their 3 straight wins were away).

I wonder how long before we see another super team. I think a team like the Pelicans could if they resign Demarcus Cousins. I would say the clippers but they are a mess and what they have does not work. Timberwolves may be something in a couple of years.

It's not like the early 2000's. Nearly every team had a superstar player.

Warriors as a team went 50/40/90 against the Cavs for Game 2, which is complete insanity.
We may be watching the greatest team in the history of the NBA.
