I don't follow MMA, but all I know is that in the past week Ronda Rousey has been all over the media. I didn't know who she was until this week, because it's been impossible to not hear about her. More in particular because she apparently "threw her weight" behind Bernie Sanders in support, which made every leftist on my Facebook wet. (Someone who supports Sanders who isn't pathetic and ugly; yeah I guess that is a big deal.) Everyone in the media has been praising her because she's the 'best' woman fighter and Bernie Sanders and feminism.

Last week was her life's peek amount of attention. After this defeat, I would bet money that her 15 minutes of fame is up, at least in terms of the mainstream media. We can all go back to our lives of not hearing about her.

Didn't they give up on Gina Carano or whatever her name was when she lost the fight? She was pretty big for awhile and now I don't here much about her. Rousey had no charisma in Expendable 3 either.

This reminds me of when Mike Tyson (who was also undefeated) lost to Buster Douglas back in 1990. After that, he didn't impose as much fear on his opponents. I predict the same the same thing is going to happen with Rousey. Her reign of dominance is officially over.

I give respect to Rousey for mentioning her father often after a fight (who committed suicide when she was young), most women won't acknowledge their father even if he is alive, and for that I credit to her. This was the reason she was pissed when Correira told her "you are going to kill yourself" before the fight.

But beside that, well she is a good fighter.......for a woman, the media loves, she gets attention, that attention makes bring more sponsors, plus, and this a big one, Rousey has a big ego and entitle personality when talking, she has this bitch resting face, so, many women who don't even care about MMA can identify with her.

Like many have said, people and Rousey herself were hating on Holm because she has a more feminine persona.

You have a girl from Riverside California that has been all over the media who just a week ago endorse Berny Sanders, VS, a girl from Sandia Heights New Mexico, Midwest, the only thing missing now is Holm endorsing Trump.

Obviously a top notch female will never be as strong or as fast as a top notch man, but even at 15 Mike Tyson had way better form and precision than Rhonda.

It was bound to happen. Very few MMA fighters go undefeated like that. Jon Jones being the exception I think but he's come close a couple times.

I'm glad Rhonda finally lost though. They were really pushing the warrior princess angle hard with her and the UFC constantly had their faces buried in her muff. Plus the "Rhonda can beat any fighter male or female in a similar weight division" talk was getting really old.
