Not sure where to post this nor didn't want to start a new thread, but here's a great NON gringo targeted site for real estate options in the Philippines.
http://www.ayosdito.ph

It's a very complete site in that it's not limited just to real estate, but to anything deals related in Manila and around the the Philippines.

Local listings with local pricing. Smile

Ultimate Philippines Data Sheet: Manila, Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro
(03-03-2014 09:06 PM)Cr33pin Wrote:  Damn I was paying 18,000.00Php per month for a one room apartment that was no where near as nice in Davao. It included everything though, power, aircon, internet, cable tv and maids to clean it once a day.

I'm staying at the Jun N Dell Appartelle, and it's fantastic. 20,000 Pesos a month (about $450 bucks), all bills paid, and a maid comes and cleans the place every day. I have my own kitchen, it's one of the larger units, the place is totally secure, there's two guards at all times guarding the entrance to the neighborhood, and best of all, it's pretty much walking distance to Ayala Abreeza Mall, Victoria Mall, Gaisano Mall, and to SM City Lanang. You can also just take a jeepney if you don't like walking, they're basically free (8 pesos).

I was paying 1200 pesos a day at my hotel in Iloilo City, and that place did not even have wifi (it advertised as having wifi, but it never worked). At the Jun N Dell Appartelle, you have THREE wifi connections, so if any one goes down, at least one of the other two usually works. I have never had a problem getting online since I've been here (a week now)

Best of all, Yukimix is close by, I eat there most days, in Ayala-Abreeza mall. It's a buffet restaurant for about 11 or 13 bucks a meal, which is great for the quality of the food. I can eat salmon and meats every day, plus fruits and veggies, like I do back home, and best of all, their restroom has toilet paper, which is a dealbreaker for me whenever I go out to eat. I mean, if they didn't think to put toilet paper in the restroom, where else are they cutting corners, right? Think about it.

There's a restaurant right next to the Ayala Abreeza food court (the open terrace food court), as you walk out, the first one on the left, and it serves good food as well, the spaghetti, fish, and chicken breast meals there are all well made. They even come with a complimentary cold coffee and they have current newspapers for you to read. Those are my two favorite places so far. Usually, when I'm adventurous in the Philippines about new places to eat, I end up paying more than I would in the U.S., for lower quality food, or decent quality food (like a whole chicken) coupled with a restroom which is little more than a hole in the ground...and you pray you remembered to pack the toilet paper.

Also, regarding girls, giving out your number works. I gave mine out to three girls in the last week (all mestizas, I prefer the mestiza look over the pure Visayan look), and I got four girls messaging me back (one girl did not reply, two did, and so did two of their friends who thought I was handsome and asked for my number).

The two extra girls were not up to my standards, though, but in any case, giving out your number works. I ignored both "referrals." Getting the girl to actually go out on a date is another story, though. I haven't been able to do that yet (I've been in Davao a week). I can go two or three days without seeing a girl I'd want to ask out here, though. I've given my number out to three so far. Of the two girls that I gave my number to and messaged with, the first one (18 yr old) flaked on the date (but she did give me a heads up, and it was because of a downpour) and the second one (20 yr old) flaked as well (gave me a heads up as well), but the first one, she's been messaging me every day since. She messages me good morning when I wake up, and chats with me through the day. Today she texted me, "give my regards to your macho body," lol, and she let me know she's thinking of me. She's an accounting student, gorgeous face, gorgeous body, curvy with petite breasts, just how I like them, a solid 7.5 to me. She seems pretty sheltered, which, if it's the case, is awesome, since it's what I'm looking for, so, we'll see if that leads anywhere. I don't mind the extra effort if the girl's worth it, and until then, more day game.

Since I've arrived in the Philippines (12 days ago), I've had 10 or 11 girls offer to be my girlfriend, and one offer to be my wife (kind of). I've also had several guys offer themselves to me, lol, there are effeminate men here EVERYWHERE, why that is, I don't know. The girl that offered to be my wife was a solid 7 (we talked for a couple of minutes, and then she goes, "Sir, it is my dream to marry a man like you," so I count that as a quasi-proposal, lol), but she was a mall worker, and I could possibly work with that, but I'd prefer a nurse or a student (I'm looking for a long term thing). Also, she was in Iloilo City, and after being there a couple of days, I decided it wasn't viable, from a logistics standpoint (no reliable wifi and the air pollution was brutal). Davao simply works much better.

Here's an actual example of a meal out in Davao for me. I go out to a restaurant, to have my meats, fruits, and veggies, take a seat, and the waitress comes up to me.
Waitress: "Hello, sir."
Me: "Hey."
Waitress: "Sir, where are you from?"
Me: "Texas."
Waitress: "Oh, sir, are you here alone?"
Me: "Yeah."
Waitress: "Sir, are you single?"
Me: "Yes," I smile
Waitress: "Sir, uhmmm...can we be friends?"
Me: "Thanks, I'm just dropping in for a meal, I like the food here, I need to get my proteins in." I point to my bicep.
Waitress: "Yes sir, you have a nice body." She giggles. "Sir...uhmmm...my manager sent me. She wants to know if you would like to know her?"
I take a look around.
"Who's your manager?"
She points to her manager, a 5 or 6.
I smile, "Haha, thanks, I'm just dropping in for a meal."
Waitress: "Yes sir."
I finish eating, then go to pay my bill. The manager, the waitress, and two other girls (5 or 6's) are standing around the cash register, doing waitress things. One of the other two girls speaks up:
Waitress # 2: "Sir, I am single!" She's giggling.
Me: I smile, "Haha."
Waitress # 3: "I am single too, sir!" They all giggle.

That's a normal lunch here. Happened on a Jeepney too, (3 girls let me know they're single, and they also let me know their friend (a small gay guy) was single too after I just smiled at them because they were 5's or 6's), and also at a mall sales stand of some kind, 3 or 4 girls that time and two gay guys, but the gay guys didn't offer themselves to me that time, one of them just told me I have beautiful eyes.

Oh, it was funny, one of the gay guys goes, "do you like our friend, haha, the fat one!?!?"

I look around at the group of girls and go, "which fat one?" The girls go, "her!" and they point and everyone giggles. The girl was actually overweight, slightly, but the thing is, I'd become so used to real obesity in the U.S. that this girl being slightly overweight hadn't even registered in my brain.

Anyhow, Davao is fun times. I'm working on a novel, so I'm staying busy, and it's great to experience the city and its challenges, girl-wise. About the nightlife, though, I went down to Torres (Prime Square), and asked around about E Vibe, but was told it was closed? Maybe people were confused by what I was asking? The English here is not always perfect, especially with the folks in lower status jobs, like the service sector. Not sure, I was wanting to check out the place, since the forum recommended it, but I couldn't find it. I'm really hoping there's more to Davao weekend nightlife than Torres, because I was disappointed. It's not a deal-breaker for me as far as Davao, there's enough day-game opportunities to make the city worthwhile anyways, and logistics here are great, but still.

Any good weekend night spots from anyone here on the ground in Davao? The whole, "sitting around in my own table" thing seems somewhat odd, I'd prefer a dance club...

You just made my day! Looks like I've got some more exploring to do this weekend! Thanks so much for the info, man!

That's funny that you mention selling your car, I actually sold mine three weeks ago, right before I left the states. I figured I wouldn't need a car for a while. My ticket to the Philippines was one way. I don't know when I'll be returning to the states or how long I'll be staying in the Philippines. It's completely open-ended. I guess the answer is I'll return to America when I get bored of being abroad, could be in 3 months, 6 months, a year, who knows...as of today, the plan is to stay in Davao for a couple of months, but it's totally flexible. I've got no itinerary, I could go anywhere in the world, but I picked Davao for now, and so far it looks like it was the right choice. We'll see where my mind is in a month or two.

Thanks again for the info, man! Also, congratulations on your imminent escape from America, a.k.a., Alcatraz, lol!

RE: Ultimate Philippines Data Sheet: Manila, Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, GenSan, Butuan
Hey there,

Have been screening Philippines reports, and Cebu ones in particular, and here's a question I couldn't find an answer to, besides a single message from "Vacancier Permanent".

Here's the thing, I have the opportunity to have, for 1 week, a splendid 5 bedrooms villa in Lapu-Lapu. For free.
We all know how important logistics are, and it seems quite away from most day / night game spots mentionned so far.

Lapu-Lapu sounds like a resort-oriented area, not that close to game spots. Did anyone experience the area, and could provide some good hints? Like are there places to go out in Lapu-Lapu? Not filled with tourists-only (though I might finally get this Korean flag I've been hunting for a while). Should the answer be "no", I guess it's be hard to bring some Pinay girls so far. But the house is amazing (and staffed)

Cheers

I'll come visit you!! Tongue.

Lapu-lapu has its own girls, and its own attractions. Its a bit of a hike to Cebu, but I think it would be a good time for you to stay there and base out of there. Girls could definitely come visit you.

I've referral links for most credit cards, PM me for them & thanks if you use them

RE: Ultimate Philippines Data Sheet: Manila, Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, GenSan, Butuan
Ruban,
I was in Lapu-Lapu over Sinolug 3 years ago to escape the craziness that's Cebu becomes during that weekend. I went to a resort on the beach with a German friend. The resort was decent but the beach left a lot to be desired. I didn't go out or game there. The german guy went with his girl and she had another of her sexy friend join us. I invited a sweet 18 year old join me and she brought one of her equally sexy friend with her. So there was me, the German guy and 4 girls for the weekend at that beach resort. Good and fun times!Wink that's the Philippines for ya man!Smile

But I did get the feeling that girls there are very open and available. I remember going with the girls and my German buddy to the local mall for a bite and girls were checking us out constantly. At one point 2 girls waved at me while I was going down the electric escalator. I was too tired to chased them down plus had two sweet things with me so didn't bother. But there's definitely potential there! Do the usual pipelining before hand online and day game pretty much anywhere you see a cutie that strikes your fancy, just smile and say hi. That's all there is as far as "Game" required there. Did I say it's more fun in the Philippines?Smile

When are you going there?

Bonne chance mec!

Yeah lapu lapu isn't too far from the city. The locals are a bit poorer but you can day game around their easily and pull some cute girls. Just mentioning the nice place that you are living will be a dhv and will motivate girls to go a little bit further to see you. The bad logistics arent' a deal breaker at all.

Ruban,
Regarding activities to do, ther than swimming, you can snorkel, scuba dive, go on a boat to explore other islands. But f you want stunning beaches, go to Bohol. I'd say spend a few days in Cebu to find a girl you like and take her with you to Lapu Lapu and Bohol. You will have a blast.

How did you come across the free "rental" - was it promotion from a vacation website?

Would you recommend Bohol as a good place to base out of for a month or so? Or is it more of just a vacation town that you only want to be there for for a week or so? Would it get boring after a bit?

I'm in a bit of a bind with the ongoing flight. I was at the consulate today and was advised I need a round trip ticket bought to get an extended visa ahead of time. My two best options are to eat the 130 it will cost to fly one way to hk and extend my visa while in Manila. Or set up the Expedia reservation although I do not know how to change the reservation from not confirmed to confirmed. If anyone with experience can help out id really appreciate it. Peace.

Somebody mentioned you can make a res on one of those web sites (I don't know which) print it out, and cancel within 24 hours and get a refund.

Why are you getting an extended visa? You can extend your stay pretty easily once you are there. The airline will also scrutinize your outgoing ticket/reservation less than the consulate.

If you just get an entry visa you can do the website thing very easily. I've done it every time I've gone (3 times recently). I imagine they care more at the consulate when issuing a more formal visa.

I only want to make sure I can get on the flight. I will need to show proof of an ongoing or return flight when I board. The cheapest ticket I can find outbound is $130 and that wouldnt be a fun sum to end up eating if I dont use the ticket. I intend to stay longer than 21 days.

Is there a post or thread that details specifically how to set up a travelocity reservation without actually paying?

I'm just guessing from remembering looking at the post, but I think the idea is you DO pay, but then cancel within 24 hours. Disclaimer, I don't know if it works or how. Make sure you're on the website which promises cancellation like that.

I do know that in the past I've made place reservations where my card didn't get charge for quite a while, sometimes 36 hours.

Just came back from spending a great 5 days in Cebu. Ended up boning 2 chicks. It could have been more but the second time I boned the first one she gave me a very rough BJ which left my dick out of commission for 2 days.

I didn't reinvent the wheel or anything, just followed a lot of the great advice given by others on this forum. I stayed at the Quest Hotel right by the Ayala mall. I was pleasantly surprised by the food options at the Ayala restaurants, the Terraces. Had some pretty good Thai food, burritos and pizza. Not so good for the waistline though. Had Philippine dishes a couple of times which was ok but not for every day.

Some general impressions:
-I handed a piece of paper with my contact details on it out to several girls at the Ayala without talking to them, because they were in a rush or with friends. I was somewhat skeptical when I first read about this on the forum but lo and behold 2 out of 3 girls I left my number with came back to me and wanted to meet up!!! This was all on my last day when I had to catch a flight so it didn't go anywhere but still
-I pipelined via DIA and FC. I think for optimum results you need to get a mobile with a Philippines number, which I didn't do, as a lot of girls don't have smartphones and don't use line, whatsapp, viber etc
-of the 2 girls I got with, one was 22 y/o, lives in texas with her elderly American husband. She was over in Cebu to visit her family without hubby. Met her in J Ave at Mango Square and took her to the hotel that night
-the other girl I met via DIA. She is 24 yo, lives in Manila but was in Cebu for a week visiting family. We'd been chatting on viber for a while and she sent me several sexy pics so when she came to the hotel it was already over
-in spite of the ladyboys, prozzies and washed up sex tourists I think J Ave can be a good place to go on the weekend. There are normal girls there too with an interest in white guys. I went to J Ave also mid week once, on a Tuesday which kinda sucked.
- I also tried several of the other clubs on Mango Square but couldn't get anything to happen there. I didn't like the vibe in Alchology.
-the hottest girls I saw in Cebu were Korean, not Philippina. These girls were all staying at the Quest as well. Unfortunately I wasn't able to figure out where they go out at night. There were some Korean girls at Mango Square but not the really hot ones. there are a lot of young Korean guys at mango square, especially J Ave, but as far as I could tell they were only into paying for it.
-in terms of other nightlife areas, I only checked out Den in IT Park, formerly known as Loft. I thought it was shit. Reminded me bit of those high end lounges you have in London and New York where everything costs twice as much and nobody's horney.

Hmm, I think that's about it. I will add to this if anything else comes to mind. Thanks again to the previous posters for all their sound info and advice which led me to have a very enjoyable trip and also ended the almost 3 month cold streak I've been on since I moved to Tokyo in January.

I take advantage of this (short) intervention to thank all of you guys for producing so much information, therefore reducing the (probably inexistent though) learning curve to go faster with Pinay ladies.

Also, I saw some of you mention some midget fighting, I'm up for that, but have to admit it's not the most talked-about-thing in Manila, if you have a good place, looks like fun.

Manila is def on point, I had four girls in the first four days. Now I'm so oversexed that I'm sticking with what I already found unless something hot and easy comes my way. I like building a bit of a repoire with a girl, I think the sex is much better that way. If you look anything like a white actor or singer girls will literally fall over in the street checking u out here. Whats nice for me is height doesnt matter so much here I'm 5'8" hence troubles in America. I was able to set a rotation and banged 3 girls daily for the past couple days. I'm on to Cebu next if anyone has any hotel recommendations I'd love to hear.

I loved the Marco Polo, a few miles from the Ayala, but it is genuinely classy for about $80 per night ( was less a few weeks ago); book on expedia or the like.

When 96% of guests recommend the place, you know it's pretty good.

There is a lounge with really good low volume bands, Filipino singers are on a par with what you'd see in a lounge in NY or LA, and there are widely spaced couches so you can canoodle with a wonderfully uninhibited Filipina, bring her upstairs and
raw dog with no concern for the future like I did.

The future is just a rumor anyway.

Then there is a rooftop bar with blue neon everywhere, it just rocks, quiet up there.

The staff is quite relaxed and their uniforms are cooler than anything I have to wear, I am VERY sensitive to fake friendliness or stressed staff and they must be treating everyone well because they seem to be genuinely happy to be working there. One room cleaner guy refused a tip.

The only bad thing is all you loathsome players are going to be there the next time I go making me look even older than I am.

The only problem was there was a sort of solvent smell from remodeling, they immediately moved me to a room without it upon request.
