WTF is going on in here? This shit is crazy, and it happened quick as fuck.

My initial thought was that it was a loooonnnnnnggggggg shot that Neil could sell his script. I was thinking maybe it could turn into him hosting some kind of small scale travel show, something like Three Sheets, or something like that.

However, I figured selling a script has got to be a long shot, and to sell a script about fucking dozens of chicks would be even more of a long shot. Neil just came in and blew my mind.

P.S. What does the option mean? They now own your book? How does this work?

Actually Neil, maybe you could parlay this into some sort of a television hosting gig? You just sold your script, have an article in Variety, maybe you can ride this momentum and do even more with it? New travel shows always seem to be popping up on networks. You just sold a script quick as hell, so you obviously have a product that someone in Hollywood thinks has a shot. Maybe you can find someone in television who thinks the same as well?

If you keep hustling as you've been doing, who knows where you could end up? Maybe spend your last month hitting up television producers as opposed to traveling around?

No can do. The story is out of my hands now. I have no legal right to do anything related to the movie. Trust me, if the movie gets made, the money ship is docking in Skywalker harbor.

Nice job! Maybe now you can go back to the Buffalo Club and run 'fame game'.

Gather up forum members for a celebratory party this Friday. Print out copies of that movie poster, have a bunch of ballons & streamers, and have everyone in the group be in a celebratory, champagne popping mood.

This should attract the attention of the girls in the place. Anyone asks, say "I just sold my script! Wanna be in the movie?" I know it's stretching it a bit but if she's a wanna be or struggling actress this line would be like catnip.

One thing that worries me is that the producers are 2 women. And this being Calif0rnia and Hollywood, we all know what this would mean. That they would try to highjack Neil's work and have the proverbial beta male play the role with empowered sex in the city kind of cougars. I'd hate to see that. I certainly hope you have a say on how the movie will turn and how the main character will be.

Hell, do what Sylvester Stallone did for his Rocky script. He didn't sell the script while he was broke for a fortune as he wanted to be playing the lead role. It's your script about your life, there's no better person to play it than you Neil! Don't sell yourself short and don't let yourself be blinded by the sight of a fat cheque. If they're giving you a deal for the script, it means there's a huge potential. Which to be honest, we all in here know, you included! So be smart but don't short change yourself amigo! The cheque you'd be getting is only penauts compared to what you can really get if you played your own role in the film!

I think it's a great idea. Doing all that work & achieving what you did and not popping the champagne is like having sex with a girl that you gamed and not having an orgasm.

The story is completely out of my hands now. They optioned all rights. To be honest, I rather have a famous star attached then doing it myself.

I don't think this deal is really like that. I don't think they've bought the script itself, they've bought the book, so to speak. This means a new writer will adapt it into a fresh screenplay. This has got legs, think the Hangover etc. In my opinion this is definitely getting made.

Congrats Neil! I bumped into blog before you wrote your book. I enjoyed reading it a lot since I've travelled a lot in the same style as you.
I could relate myself to many of your stories which was quite funny.

It's awesome that someone shows that things next to impossible can be done!
