Alright cats, here's the lowdown: I'm in mid-30s, have been lifting for 3+ years, started riding a bike last year, go to the shooting range from time to time, and on top load myself with various supplements, 50g zinc etc. Yet, even as my testosterone must've climbed up as I'm feeling quite energetic, manly, and accomplished, I'm still a lot less interested in sex than I was in my 20s.

It's not that I don't appreciate being in bed with a woman, I just don't feel compelled to chase pussy anymore. I don't feel that relentless push to find something to fuck. It's like my dick is on vacation or what. (Before you ask, yep physically it's working fine). I don't want my dick to rule me like it used to but it would be nice to get horny more often.

I wonder if there's anyone here with a similar experience and maybe a word of wisdom or two.

I went through a phase of decreased horniness for a few weeks, then realised it was beause I hadn't been to the gym much, now im back to normal. I'm just as horny as I was in my twenties personally.

How often do you jerk off? Abstain from yanking it and see if that helps.

Also, some decline in your sex drive as you get older is to be expected. The key is to make sure you can draw wood when you need it most.

Keep a clean diet, work out, and don't jerk off. You may not be as horny as you were when you were 20, but you'll still have a healthy desire for some young, fresh snatch.

I don't see anything wrong with not being horny as a teenager all the time. I couldn't care less if I go out and don't take a girl home. Who gives a damn. Sure, if I do, I might have an awesome night of fucking (as in completely destroy her and then have her in love with me), but if I don't I at least get some reading done or work on important things. Both alternatives are good. I wouldn't mess with your hormones. Looks like you're probably healthy with your lifestyle, anyway.

If you read certain blogs and this forum enough, you will be compelled to somehow do what these guys do. For example, Krauser just tweeted "+1 Swiss Flag.". Hm damn, should I go out now and try to fuck a Swiss girl? No. Because why. He makes a tweet like that to keep his reputation as a pick up blogger, basically adding to his credibility, so people keep reading and buying his stuff. But just because I like the contents of some of his posts, I don't have to aspire to be like him.

Maybe it's not the case here at all, but reading the OPs post, I thought I'd throw this in here as an idea.

Up the zinc to 250 mg per day for a couple of weeks. Maca and tongkat work GREAT. They take a couple of weeks to kick in but they make a huge difference. You may start getting acne when they kick in strong. Be prepared to kill that acne with ACV.

I agree with muc that you don't need to be as horny as a teenager. Lift, eat clean, take some supplements, but don't sweat it. If you still get erections and can have a couple of orgasms the few first nights with a new, hot woman, you're OK even if you're not quite as driven as you used to be. Enjoy the somewhat calmer and more measured state of mind of being in your 30s, and work steadily on your other goals.

Still, though I feel no urge to become a teenager again, I'm not quite on-board with taking it slow now. It's not like I'm becoming a pensioner anytime soon, and I think men are and should be capable of being horny at all ages. We don't go through a menopause, do we?

As jerking off, I gave up porn a year ago and do occasionally rub one out but not nearly as much as when I was younger (here we go again). Not jerking off yielded no benefits for me though; I tried that a couple months back and it felt like my dick got used to no stimulation and certainly didn't ask for any.

I guess I'll up the zinc and try the things from the article mentioned in the post #3. The testosterone replacement therapy seems like an overkill to me right now. And yes I should get my levels measured.

You don't have to up Zinc as it doesn't do anything for testosterone (believe it or not) and you can get too much of it.

Speaking as a guy probably ten years older than you, I am wondering how is the stress in your life? Are you happy?

We all go through phases but personally I don't think your sex drive decreases as you get older, as long as you don't abuse your body with drugs and drinking. Mine hasn't and I don't take supplements but I try to eat clean. Do you workout your legs in the gym? Squats, leg presses, deadlift etc!

The simple remedy is too find a "hot" chick and see how you perform. That seems to cure everything.

Funny you should ask that. I can cross all checkboxes here (not meant to be boasting). That's why I'm quite puzzled. I've been earning a lot, am reasonably successful in my professional pursuits, have a stable family, have a squeeze half my age on the side, and as for my workouts, I've been following the Starting Strength program, meaning squats are there every time. Hell yeah I'm happy. Maybe I'm getting lazy as a result. I do have some stresses as we all do, of course.

The only possible culprits I can see are drinking and smoking, alas. Perhaps my vices are catching up with me after all.

Well there is your answer! Drinking and smoking will kill your sex drive, I don't smoke and I have pretty much given up drinking especially beer.

I absolutely agree. Choose your own goals according to your own priorities. No reason to share mine. Its very easy to get sucked into the notch-carousel frame, and for most people it doesn't make them happier, it just creates a nagging feeling that stops them enjoying their hobbies. The whole point of life is to be happy.

When I kicked the nicotine the difference was night/day. Nicotine was severely impacting my sex drive and I never knew until I quit. Quit smoking and I have a feeling you'll see a boost.

Yes, I can confirm that. It's like becoming younger again. Also girls at work told me that I'm eyefucking them when we spoke, a week after I quit. Shouldn't have started again.
