Know your enemy and know yourself, find naught in fear for 100 battles. Know yourself but not your enemy, find level of loss and victory. Know thy enemy but not yourself, wallow in defeat every time.

The first one was lame as hell, I think the guy was quoting a movie when he was trying to intimidate Vitaly.
To be honest, I think if someone walked up to me and asked if I even lifted, then made fun of me, I'd probably get violent if he looked smaller.
Ha, why? This doesn't resonate with me at all.
I've been at a college campus for the last couple years and all I've noticed is that guys in and below my age are passive aggressive. Some of the behavior I've seen from dudes here bends the genders. The campus is probably 90% white.
When they actually get confronted, the fights end in about thirty seconds, people either break it up or someone takes a couple swings and knocks the other guy on his ass.
You probably have more experience with this than I do, and I'm assuming that you're referring to what I said about white guys getting a lot angrier when they're confronted by some random fuck in the middle of the day, so I'll admit that I'm just speculating.

Sharp tongue and a quick right.
Let dudes know that you will not tolerate such disrespect. If they persist, knock 'em the fuck out. End of story.
In my book, guys like this never get a chance to say "I'm just fucking with you," because fucking with me means disrespecting me, and that is not acceptable under any circumstance.
That's my problem. I'm not too quick on my feet with comebacks and shit. Never have been and I've always avoided shitty arguments like that ever since I was young.
I've never actually been in a fight or confronted like that guy did in the video. I put one guy in the hospital, but it wasn't much of a fight (he was attacking my brother). I've been threatened before, but they usually sit down when I tell them that I'll knock them on their ass if they start anything. Girls seem to do this a lot more now and they get pretty upset when I remind them that if they didn't have tits, they'd have a broken jaw.

I've noticed there are major differences in acceptable interpersonal behavior in different parts of the country. I've been shocked at the way people talk to each other in NYC, for example. In the South, for one man to yell at and insult another he does not know is extremely risky and it is quite likely to provoke a violent response or at least a threat of one. There are cultural reasons for this that go back centuries.
I'm assuming this stunt was done in Miami. If he had talked shit like this in redneck areas near me, I guarantee even the skinniest redneck would have popped this guy in the jaw.
Paradoxically, due in part to these cultural rules, redneck areas have relatively low violent crime rates, in the same way that almost every rural house has guns in it but gun crime is pretty rare.

It sounds like people know better where they stand in areas where you don't fuck around.
If something's going down, you assume it's not fucking and around and put a stop to it. I imagine criminals know this and would be worried about a whole populace acting in a police function. That is to say, if there was a crime happenening, I imagine there would be more bystanders watching by in Miami than in a red neck area in the South.

RE: Do you even lift?
I love trolling like this. I would have trolled him right back.
"Do you even lift?"
(First I would look at him confused, because I wouldn't be sure what the hell he was talking about. Then he'd repeat himself
"Do you even lift bro?"
"I can only life your mom's ass. So yes actually, I can lift quite a lot."
"Your arms are really skinny."
"And your mom's ass is really fat! Yet these skinny arms push it like an Olympian."
Etc. etc. Fight absurd with absurd, always works.
Fact is, the only reason this prank worked was because he targeted huge muscle freaks, whose ego's were already bound to their looks.

An observation that I've found as a Brit visiting America is that Brits are generally less confrontational but when there is an altercation it tends to escalate suddenly into violence from nothing. In the US I've found that there is a lot more escalation before a fight occurs: verbals, gesticulating, chest thumping etc. I even heard a term for it 'punked' which is where someone makes the other bloke back down from such a confrontation..we don't really have an equivalent verb.
I think in the UK there is less of a bravado culture so when a man challenges another it, gets in their face etc people just don't know how to handle it.
