Maher is the liberal equivlent of those right wingers like Glenn Beck who claim to be libertarian because it sounds cool, but then just regurgitate talking points for their team.

Somebody like Adam Carolla probably is closest in opinions to the RVF crowd, except I've never heard anything really red pill from him, plus isn't he married?

Why? Does he bang lots of hot sluts?

I know a girl who banged him, a hot multiethnic south east asian girl with a great body. Bill has a thing for the exotic girls supposedly these days.

He cracks me up most of the time, even though he tows the bullshit liberal hollywood line a little too much on other things.

False. Mainstream conservatives are not authentic conservatives, they're more like yesterday's liberals. What modern political philosophy endorses patriarchy? None except traditional conservatism. Many of the more mature manosphere writers enjoy the bounty of sex they're having now, but deep down they are not all that convinced that they are better off than a more traditional arrangement; even more so for the rest of society. Trouble is, that traditional arrangement is hard to come by nowadays. Even if a few men succeed at it, the small number of appropriate women ensure it's a niche strategy.

Humans are disposed towards patriarchy, in most circumstances, so it's not something that needs to be forced on the people - a libertarian form of government, at least at the national level, could easily yield a patriarchal society, as it has in the past. Our current society is propping up feminism at every level - feminized schooling, Title IX, antidiscrimination laws, gynocentric marriage laws, misandric media, etc.

Just saw this video. Great example of the "sports star pedestalization" that a lot of guys do that Maher was talking about. Pretty pathetic to watch this guy hanging over the railing, waiting for the appearance of his favorite player, wearing his jersey and getting all dejected when he doesn't show up. It's like something a kid does. This is straight up chode behavior from a grown ass man.

You are right that mainstream conservatives don't truly believe in patriarchy, but when most people say "traditional conservative" they generally mean guys like Bill O'Reilly, Mike Huckabee, Sean Hannity, etc... What these types don't realize is how deeply femenism has infected all of our instititutions, as you say. It is so deep that these mainstream conservatives don't even realize that what they spout is actually a form of feminism.

Moreover, Roissy would not be well liked by mainstream conservatives. All mainstream conservatives are blue pill. They place all of the blame for the failings of the sexual marketplace on men. As Dalrock once said (I am paraphrasing): "They expect men to just 'man up' and marry these sassy, brassy careerist women."

WIA you should read 'The Way of Men' by Jack Donovan. That's mostly what he talks about in the book, and why men have this instinct.

Just saw this on Bill's facebook update:

Quote:Hey Chris Culliver who's afraid to shower with gays: ALL gays don 't ALWAYS fuck everything they see, you're thinking of football players

He can be right about a lot of shit but then be politically correct as well. What the hell is wrong with straight guys not wanting to shower with gays? I see that as no different from women not wanting to shower with straight men. But no one is critical about that.

I like the idea of traditional conservatism, and I certainly don't like those guys. The right in America is religious, usually. I'm an atheist. Lots of the ideologies of the guys you listed are coming from a religious standpoint that I can't bare.

They assume you cannot be moral without religion. Well I believe that if you're only being 'good', because you fear a supernatural power will do something to you after death, then you're not being 'good' at all! Plus they all deny evolution and that to be a sad sight to see in 2013.

Then again, there's something romantic in Tyler Durdan's Anarcho-Primitivist 'utopia' too...

I'm just rambling, I think I just wanted to point out that those guys you mentioned aren't what I have in mind when I think of traditional conservatives. In fact, Roosh has pointed out a lot of what he advocates is trad con, and I agree with most of what he advocates so I vote for Roosh. Roosh

Yeah I've thought about that too. I've never been in a situation where I've had to shower in front of a gay person, so I don't know how I'd react. There certainly shouldn't be any objection to objections though, for the reason you stated...Although we know how it plays out...

Bill Maher is a pragmatist: he goes with the flow.

He was a libertarian during Clinton's administration; became a leftist during Bush's (when he got fired from the Politically Incorrect show), then went further to the left during Obama's administration. He wants to be a Carlinesque kind of Comedian, but as he admitted, he doesn't have the cynicism that Carlin had. I think to be full blown red-pill, you have to be cynical about the entire system that we currently have and joyfully await for it's collapse, since you don't rely on it and have nothing to fear.

In general I really do like Bill Maher. He's not really a likelable guy, but doesn't seem to care which is what I like about him, if that makes sense.

I sometimes disagree with his politics, and it's annoying how he claims to be a libertarian but pushes a strongly left-wing ideology and never will say anything positive about the republicans.

But he certainly tells it like it is for the most part, and is funny as hell as well.

I agree. Adam Carolla is a fair comp. I don't think being married automatically disqualifies someone from being red pill though.

Never really liked Bill Maher. I mainly dislike the blending of comedy and politics you see on shows like Politically Incorrect, Real Time, Daily Show, etc. It's gotta be obnoxious to be a guest with a dissenting opinion because anytime you try to engage in an argument you just get hit with some cliche joke (like gun owners compensating for a small dick or something lame like that) and the hosts just get a cheap laugh and hide behind that. Rather than attempt to defend their position they just make snarky comments.

Now if you want to see a comedian that blended politics and comedy masterfully, watch George Carlin. Skip to about 4:00. Doesn't get much more red pill than that.

I like Maher for the most part, but I catch myself many times thinking, "What the fuck is he talking about?"

In regards to last weeks rule, I agree with a lot of it. But his comparison to American men and sports is kind of bullshit. Have you ever been to South America?! I've lived with two Argentines, both chill ass kids. One of the only times I saw them get really furious is when Argentina or their Argentine team lose. They would literally cry! Sports are big all over the world, and it's not like American Football is any bigger than soccer in UK, Brazil, or Argentina. For Christ sakes, people were running on the field threatening players lives when River Plate played the game that got them religated. They had to stop the game because people were going so ape shit over it!

Many guys put more effort into watching sports then getting laid.

We have become pacified pussys who get our manhood thru the television and internet.

Don't watch sports, play them. It's more manly! Let the girls do the cheerleading!

How does this negate Maher's point? His argument can be extended to other scenarios. Those South Americans are as misguided as we are for investing so much emotion into something we have absolutely no control over.

Tonight Bill says what we've known for a long time....the main thing all these spree shooters have in common is they're sexless virgins that repel women. Bill also makes the connection to Islam being the same way. Almost as if, I don't know...if these assholes got laid, maybe less people would get shot or blown up?

Nothing new really, but it's nice to see it on mainstream media as opposed to chalking it up to the usual stuff like pills, guns, video games, etc.

Wow.

I gotta give Bill Maher credit for speaking about this taboo subject that no one else has the balls to bring up. Its pretty obvious to anyone with a functioning brain that a man who is regularly getting his dick sucked by a pleasant, attractive female is exponentially less likely to want to end it all by going on a killing rampage.

I would love to see Roosh appear on real time and drop some red pill knowledge. Knowledge regarding the bullshit rape culture and any other topic that is brought up. He would actually have a chance to debate unlike when he was on to the Dr.Oz show.Roosh, would you be down to appear on Real Time?

For as red pill as Maher may be in some views, his studio audience would be a legitimate physical threat to Roosh. He would need Hell's Angels-level security.

I have never been able to make it through an entire episode because of the circle jerk liberal/SJW faggotry between Bill, his guests, and his fans. Even if 20% of his show is quality content the other 80% is disturbing enough for me to find something else.

In many ways yes. But in many ways no.

Trump made him violate Godwin's Law. Which is not unsubstantial since he's always struck me as a way for the Left to appear edgy and and rebellious despite being the status quo in more ways than they care to realize.

To be clear, I don't think he's doing that consciously. I do think he's a sane and rational guy with different opinions. But he does recognize that's his appeal and why he is beloved.
