Don't you think it's just population size in each respective place?
City vs. small town in the middle of nowhere? You're bound to get matches where there's more activity and participants I'd think
Not necessarily man. I look at it this way. I set my radius at home to 15 miles. Any girls that I'm shown, are in that radius as well. So we're seeing each other. Now, maybe I'll run out of matches sooner than compared to the city - New York City, I set my radius between 2-5 miles and almost never run out of swipes. But the same basic fact remains - I am who I am.
Attractiveness is attractiveness. Yes, by definition, I should be getting more city matches because there's more girls...but even if there's only 200 active female Tinder users in my 15 mile suburban radius...I should at least get 5-10 of those chicks, right? But I'm getting zero.
It can't be my profile at that point. I have a suit pic as my main and it seems to do well especially when I'm around lower Manhattan. But are you telling me that burb girls are so put off by suits that not one would swipe on me? I should at least be getting something.

I agree with all of this, except that I still maintain that it is probably the profile, at least in my case. Mister X, do you mind taking a look at my main pick and making any suggestions? I'll act on them and if it changes, then that will have been it. Else, it's something else that neither of us has figured out yet.

I'm not gonna lie. I have a bit of an ego issue. So, after a certain amount of swipes/time spent swiping...if I don't get what I feel is an appropriate number of matches, I delete my profile. I'm gonna push through and keep my profile a whole week and see what happens. Even if I only end up with 5 burb matches for the week, it'll be brutal, but at least I'll know it's me and something weird I have to work on and not my Facebook account or the app itself or whatever. Then I'll take the steps needed to improve my profile.
Sure, PM your main.

Absolutely my favorite expressions image. That being said, I suppose it is one of my favorite movies as well. Patrick Bateman is one solid character and alpha male.

Deleting your profile every week is way too much for a non-metropolitan area. If some girls only use Tinder at the weekends you will never be able to match them. 2 weeks is the minimum to know whether you'll see a payoff.
I stopped using Tinder altogether without deleting, and matches still trickled in
for a month.

You'll have to reenable PMing mate. You seem to have it disabled.

I have gotten some matches who I then see "unmatch" before I have a chance to message them.
I don't care, I do the same, but I guess they look at your profile (other pics, age, etc) more closely or something.

I'm beginning a sense that Tinder has reached its peak and is now declining (or maybe it's because the girls went back to school) or were visiting.
Haven't had a solid match in a few days.
I've been messaging girls on OKC/POF the last few days and I think I've discovered a goldmine approach that's an opener, personal, and almost forces them to answer back.
I really like Tinder because it's so much fucking easier, I might delete the account and restart.

Wait until they come back from school. I Can't go back to actively gaming 25+ year olds

I don't know what it is, but in the past week or so I've been matching up with a greater number of decent, college aged and younger women (21-23 years old). Maybe just getting back into the swing after winter break, cabin fever and the upcoming Valentine's day has them a bit thirstier than usually.

^^^ I have one on my Tinder who constantly posts moments of her cat. Does she really think that advertising that she's a crazy cat lady is going to make guys want to talk to her?
I find this tends to be a sub-23 year old thing to do. The same as spamming Facebook or Instagram, it's an attention thing.

For me there was huge tinder downswing from mid dec to mid jan.
But i've seen that on okc in past years too.
But there are always smaller trends as well. More girl on Sun and monday nights and friday afternoon.
there usually location specific trends too. In Jakarta 7-9am mon fri too is big while girls are on the bus on their way to work.

Yup it's 18-19 crowd of girls who are looking for hardcore validation on Tinder moments.

Yup, lost out on your next ex. I do it all the time lol.
^^ If you pay the $3/mo for premium it lets you go back when you inadvertently swipe left. Also lets you set location. I haven't signed up for it yet, but might. $3 seems like a small price compared to the hassles of a fake gps.

Yeah I'm good on that, I'd rather walk outside and talk to a girl then pay money lol.
I hate when they go silent after you ask for the their number because it was actually going so well. It's just fucking aggravating.

I don't know if this is a good idea but I unmatched the next day after that happened. Not out of spite, but I don't like the "oneitisy" feeling where I'm wondering if they'll write back.
Next time I'll prob. just leave it, but hopefully it won't happen often.

For anyone thinking of giving up.. def. experiment with photos.
I was about to quit for good but tried a new photo based on stuff I read in this thread and it turned it around for me
I'm not killing it or anything but getting some nice matches now.
And don't sweat b.s. like height. Put it out of your mind. Have faith that statistics are in your favor and eventually someone you like will like your look.
