Glad to hear my experience is normal. I should just give up, but women I meet from approaching act just as shitty.

I just had girls cancel dates on me Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and I just got a text canceling Sunday. 4 days. 4 in a row!!! I don't enough prospects to start double and triple booking nights.

If we actually get to a date the odds are that she will be unbearable, or (most likely) we will have good date, make out, and she'll disappear before a second date.

I am basically being used for entertainment when girls have a free night. I am considering being a giant asshole on dates from now on. Because my standard dating formula of developing rapport is not working at all.

I wish we could get more qualitative feedback on location and experience. I've lived in UK, Italy, and Vietnam and have never experienced the flakes and all the negatives that I've seen reported here.

I live in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. I'm 40/yo, above average game. It gets worse with every passing year now.

I never had one single girl flake on me when I lived in Thailand or Costa Rica.

It's funny they have so much sexual abundance but when it comes down to finding someone to commit to them, their options dwindle down from guys rated 8-10 on the looks scale to 4-5 on the looks scale. They're too stupid to understand this and end up banging a ton of dudes only to realize in their late twenties that they cant get a single one of those dudes to commit. Then they're just used up whores looking for a beta sucker to latch onto.

This is why I will never commit to a girl beyond 24-25.

I've come to the conclusion that Instagram is the new online game.

In fact, even if you're a lone wolf type who just likes to do night game, day game, whatever and travel around and stay flexible...it's hurting you not to have an IG account with some great photos.

At least if you're looking to bed 18-22 year old chicks.

This is less true abroad, but in the U.S., canada....it's becoming pretty necessary if you want to fuck young women who you're actually attracted to.

Yeah...but it's not even my offer. It's literally theirs. Again I get it if an average joe is spitting lines at them on Tinder and they ignore it. It's weird that they would go out of their way to compliment me then ghost, like wtf??

But then i also kind of get it...I actually ghosted on a girl for today. We set up a date, she seemed interested, but I wasn't really feeling it and had somewhere better to be.

I really think the prevalence of dating apps is making people less down to have sex than they used to. Tinder can be fun to use but even for me, a young man, hooking up with girls off of it is a low priority. I would genuinely rather spend time with my friends, go outside, go on a trip, etc etc. There are definitely girls who I essentially forget about and leave on read myself, so I understand why it happens.

I think many people have stopped seeing dating as something enjoyable which is why we're in the situation that we're in.

Since I added one really good photo of myself to the profile, I've noticed a large increase in matches and scheduling dates have become a lot easier. Even the girls who have flaked have called me up and apologized and tried to reschedule to another date now whereas before it was just radiosilence. This week I slept with 3 girls and I have girls on the app telling me now I'm sexy and some that they want to sleep with me. Girls rarely said that before. Last night I was invited to an apartment with two girls, I ended up banging one of them after about 2h chatting.

It's almost gotten too easy. A few years ago I thought it was exciting to go out to clubs because there was that small chance that I would get lucky and go home with someone. Guess it's a bit like if you would eat delicious food all the time, it's just not as glamorous after a while. Also, when I was younger I would get this high after just a kiss with a girl and be on cloud 9 for like a month while now I don't think about their compliments etc.

It's a strange dichotomy because I would have been so happy if I had the sex life I have now, 5 years ago. Now it's like I don't care much about it.

Any update or thoughts on whether you really need to link/ use a Facebook account or if just signing up for tinder directly with phone # alone is enough? I've seen it suggested that it's better/you may have better results/your "elo score" might be impacted by whether or not you initially sign up with fb.

Since at this point you need phone # anyway, it sure would make it easier to just skip fb and sign up with phone # alone.

I've been following all the suggested "best practices" for full account reset with new email, fb, # etc. In the past with "blank" (no fb picture, new, no info, not my real name) facebook accounts I would sometimes have the hassle/issue where Facebook asks you to upload a picture of your face. I would upload a selfie & they would unlock my tinder after 2 days.

Now I feel like fb must be using facial recognition on this process & perhaps even have my face flagged as a scammer as the last 2 times I've had to upload a selfie of my face they have then completely deleted my (new-ish/blank) facebook account. I know for certain the ip address/devices were not linked to me or my normal Facebook account. It's frustrating because other than facial recognition there is no way I can see they'd be able to distinguish me from a new user who is fully following the terms of service. (More than one account against terms of service).

Luckily in these cases even if your new fb gets deleted if you still have access to the phone # you can login to tinder still directly with that.




Regarding girls showing interest/ initiating, even full on suggesting sex then dissapearing..

In my case I've been seeing this to a very significant degree "forever" with all apps & online dating but I've also noticed a significant increase recently. With tinder I tend to attribute the increase (along with what's already been mentioned -you're just one among many) to more & more frequent delete/reset/(or delete app without deleting tinder account) by girls. My only thought is to work on your profile "hook" - try changing up the profile text or even photos (the things girls are likely to comment on). For me some topics/etc have a good initial response or initiation by girls, but don't convert as well as other topics!

Every girl still just wants to feel like you recognize/understand how special/unique she is, or get her like other guys don't.. so maybe your replies & messages could still use work too. Flirty direct specific to girl rather than more general player vibe works better for me.

Has anyone noticed that tinder boost's are now functioning in a different way, that you don't get the matches right away?

Before you were encouraged to swipe and the matches would show up immediately. Now I hardly get any matches during the boost but then over the next 18 hours or so I have about 9-12 matches come in that are typically of much higher quality.

Also it seems the price of a boost went up about 30% at least for me.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Boosts still cost the same for me. However, boosts have not been yielding the 10+ matches they used to.

Another thing is that the rating of the girls I’m able to get out is dropping. My last two tinder notches were both less attractive than the least attractive girl I met off the app in 2018.

I’m coming around to the concept of “shadow banning.” My tinder has dried up.

Confession: I have kind of bad game sometimes and I caved and bought Tinder Gold for a month after getting no matches.

Then I saw that you can change your location as part of Tinder Gold. Well, I set myself back in Makati passively for like 2 days, and had a bunch of likes on me, like 12 in a day from various kinds of girls, which is 12 more than I got here. Which is kind of disingenuous because I really have no intention of going there in the short term. I did it solely for validation. Not healthy. But still tempting to make me want to return there. I was disgusted with myself today after buying it last week and deleted it because I realized it wasn't healthy for me unless I was actually truly going there.

I downloaded Tinder yesterday for the first time, even tho I was always against it. Next week is my first trip ever (alone) to Vienna for 2 weeks and I thought about giving it a try, so I bought Tinder Gold and put location on Vienna. I have good looks, good game, good texting game, but I realised my Tinder game is not very good. I did get 100+ matches and managed to grab 17 numbers and 4 dates. Imho LOOKS DOES MATTER for Tinder, if someone isn't 8+ it's going to be much harder for him and girls wont give him any chances.

One positive change to the app is now they let you preview your photos, so you can see how your pics appear from a girl's POV. Helps to make sure its cropped/showing properly.

It seems like everyone is getting 30-40 matches a day on brand new gold accounts due to newbie boost. I’ve been on with the same profile for a few weeks now and it went from that to zero a day for the past few days.

If you’re still getting 20+ matches a day after a few weeks then lucky you otherwise it’s restarts and tinder fold every few weeks people like for me.

In LA, Tinder wants to charge me:

10 boosts: $5 each / 5 boosts: $6 each / 1 boost: $6.99 each

When I travelled to Detroit, the price dropped:

10 boosts: $2.50 each / 5 boosts: $3 each / 1 boost: $3.99 each

Best to stock up when you're not in a top market.

Also, I agree with MaceTyrell: Boosts are not getting me crazy amounts of likes how they used to. I get dozens of likes from the reset/noob boost and then nothing. In the above text scenario is this how everyone else is texting ? Seems plain and transactional to me. Could be that both people are not English first language but still comes across as interview style
