Tinder is like Roulette, you have a 1 in 36 chance with any girl over a 7. I don't go for numbers anymore, go for the meet while on Tinder. To be honest, most of you guys are just there to be the girls dancing monkey. You might get the number, nude pics and a lets fuck. But she still has a very good chance of flaking on your ass.

This. In a way, the number is kind of pointless. You get her number, flirt with her, and try to set up a meet鈥攐k, now what? You could do all of those things on Tinder. The flake rate is probably even more higher if you text her.
I just had a convo with a girl whom I'm meeting up with for drinks later. The conversation went like this:
Me: you don't meet many med students on here (dhv, shows you've went out with other girls from Tinder)
Her: oh, really? I guess I'm your first
Me: close.. my last match was a nurse
Her: haha.. sucks for me! why don't you talk to her instead then? (self-deprecating shit test)
Me: she's not attractive enough
Her: aw, are you implying that I'm attractive then? (another shit test)
Me: take it however you like
Me: i see you're only 2 miles away. what are you doing in bk? (her bio says she lives in cali)
her: I'm just visiting a friend
me: how about you and that friend meet up with me and my boy for drinks later?
her: tempting.. I'll have to check with her. I'm free tomorrow though
me: and I'm not. you'll have to decide quickly
her: haha demanding I see! ok what time?
And that was it! No need to get her number. Unless you're trying to make her plate, don't even ask for it, she'll bring it up herself. If she's really attracted to you she'll even ask "why haven't you asked me for my number yet" or something along those lines

While I like this, getting the number can help with restart texts if she flakes, I never delete old numbers anymore, I just devalue/demote them. Sometimes those old numbers/leads can produce bangs.
Usually I number close fast and hangout within the next few days. In my experience I would say the flake rate would probably be the same if you did/or didn't get her number.
I guess I just like to have her number, and fast.
Quote:Good points. I guess it just depends on how quickly/efficient you build rapport and how attractive she finds you. A girl would be much more willing to meet up with a guy who's really attractive within the first few mins of the convo. If you're average looking, or someone who's not really "out of her league," then you'll have to rely on building rapport a lot more. Survival of the fittest at its finest.

I'm not very photogenic and I don't know anyone who can take model pictures.
Seems like every girl on there is a master of selfies and hiding their flaws.

My first photo is a selfie of me walking to school.. It got 30 likes on FB so I figured why not use that one.
The second is me suited up. (I took this one before an interview)
Third is a professional-ish photo with one of my female friends at a photoshoot.

Anyways, my format is like this: [my height, school, and a witty statement that I occasionally change]
I've had a lot of messages from girls commenting on my most recent one("If you don't watch Game of Thrones then we probably won't get along.") here's one of em that sent me an entire paragraph...

I've stopped using the "You look like a..." line. I've said it before that I much prefer using something from her bio or pics to open her. This increases the level of responses and gives you more leads.
Using a sexually crass opener does work, but I noticed that I get more meetings by calibrating my opener to her. It didn't hit me till I messed with moments that my preference for opening by commenting something about her bio or pics is optimal.
Case in point, there was many times when i would use a sexual opener like the girl next door one, and it wouldn't go anywhere. When moments came along and I commented on her pictures or bio, that's when I got more numbers and follow ups. And that's because I calibrated my opening line to her.
It's funny to note that many of those starting lines that I see guys using came organically to me, only after opening her. In other words, those lines weren't meant as a opener but rather, came mid way during the conversation. This is how good game develops in my opinion.
This is relevant to Tinder Game for you all because I see a lot of guys being so caught up on canned lines. When really what you should be working on is calibrating your approach to every girl. This allows your brain to constantly look for creative ways to open and prevents your game from remaining static in an ever changing SMP. Plus, if you do get a date, your brain is so use to working for an angle that it won't ever feel sluggish or over worked by thinking of one.
If you use lines or routines as a crutch, you can only go so far and you won't ever reach Game Fluidity. That being said, I still recommend canned lines for the newbies, seeing as how we all need training wheels when we first start to ride.
But after a while, you need to drop it and change with the times in order to adapt properly.
