I don't know if she wants me to pay to meet her as she said she's not an escort any more, but if she does that's not happening. I've never paid for it in my life and I'm not starting now.

I'm totally in her frame though you're right. I had her in mine and then she threw that at me and I totally lost my frame as I was so curious.

Going forward I'm going to have to try and change the frame back to mine although I'm not sure how to do that.

Tinder has a healthy amount of spam bots. Now, in the early days (when I started using it back in the spring) they were easy to spot. It would either be 1.) Model girls in lingerie posing, with their profile being a link to see more of them 2.) Model girls in lingerie posing, with a link or a phone number posted on the actual picture itself.

But recently, they've gotten craftier. What they do now is use several pictures of regular girls, and leave the profiles blank. It's not until you match with them (and sometimes even start a conversation with them) that it is revealed they are a bot. They will offer you a phone number right off the bat, or send you a link to click on.

Two separate occasions I got duped big time. Both girls opened with real, normal openers. One was "are you advil? because I want to take you every four hours" or something like that. To which I responded with a flirtatious witty line myself. Only to have her then respond with "haha, I got that line from hot hookups.com, have you ever tried that place? It's awesome" or some shit like that.

Just today, I matched with a bot who actually had FOUR pictures.

It really is annoying.

I feel like my opener should be "boy, I'm glad you're not a spam bot" for real women, but I don't know if they're also dealing with fake male profiles and may not get the reference.

I hope you guys are reporting the Spam Bots to Tinder, the're an option in the app.

I don't think Tinder does much to stop the bots. and if all it requires is a Facebook profile how are they going to police it?? one profile goes down another takes its place.

Actually I've left some bot girls on there to test that theory, they end up being deleted from my list. Tinder does do something about (it might be slow), but they eventually do something, the spammers just adapt faster.

Sad thing is the lawsuit still going on:

It feels like tinder is such a rapidly changing environment in nyc. 3 months ago it seemed like it was mostly career girls who had been on tinder for a while and would ask me 20 questions to test my boyfriend potential. Now half the girls i message tell me they just joined tinder and i'm their first match or one of their first matches. Plus some girls tell me they have no intention of ever meeting anyone on tinder and are just seeing what it's about. Anybody else seeing rapid changes?

@kaotic - there is no telling if they deleted themselves or were removed from Tinder, as I have seen the same pictures (and subsequently bots) come up again and again.

@bigbait - here it seems its just a grab for attention, just to satisfy my curiosity I had a few mates set up tinder profiles to see what would happen, same deal; getting matches and no matter the game plan it seemed either their attention span was lacking or they treat it like facebook friends commodity stocks.

I can see the potential to fading into the background in Facebook. Can also happen if you have her number.
I am not clear how its different.

the way Facebook is designed she can see exactly who is trying to message her and exactly who is liking her photos thus obtaining easy validation. with a phone you have a more direct contact medium and the onus is on the guy as to if he puts himself in the beta orbiter zone or not.

Suited works, being sociable, pics with 7+ girls, action shots, rad places you've been.

Go out and take pics in cool places, having a friend whose a pro photographer helps.
