First photo is of a chick that I had a fling with when I was in Barranquilla...second photo is my ex that I lived with for two years in Cali and the last two photos are of a chick that just made it into my rotation....like her looks a lot.

@scotian- ramning lodge. There are better places to stay for the value. I just choose a spot in between night-market and old-city. Think I shelled out 75 dollars/night.

@Wedo- Asaxon and I had this exact discussion on WTF is w/the thai pictures. The lips out and pouting look, random hearts and smileys, and upwards face w/contacts lenses that artifically dilate pupils seems to be popular. Must be a cultural thing.

Just a tip, you look a little older. It will be tougher for you to land semi-pros for free and regular girls cold. When are you with a normal girl, be aware that their is a stigma w/sexpats and you might want to modify your normal behavior in public...minimize intimacy on streets/lighted areas. clubs and bars truly are fair game.

Dressing up will help mitigate this to an extent.

WEDO, another very important factor that you must consider is the language barrier. Since you're fluent in Spanish, you have no problem communicating with 100% of the females in Colombia and you can always chat up women no matter what the situation; on the street, in a club, on-line, etc. As we all know, this is huge, being able to converse with a girl in her language goes a long way IMO.

Now in a place like Thailand, yes you'll find some women who speak English fluently (lets say at the level that you speak Spanish) but this is a very small minority. Quite a few, especially in BKK can carry a simple conversation but you won't be having in-depth conversations and I would say the majority of girls don't speak English at all, or maybe just a few phrases.

I stand to be corrected on this as I've only hooked up with a couple of Thai girls so far and have hung around mostly foreigners since I've been here, not sure if I'll ever mix in with the upper class, educated Thais, I'm not even sure if I care to, to be honest.

The thing is for guys like us, and this is one reason why I lean more towards Latin America over Asia is because a guy can learn more Spanish or Portuguese in a six month period, in country, than he could probably ever learn Thai in even a couple of years. Of course that's a guess but I feel that being able to communicate with the locals in their own language is very important if you're planning on spending lots of time in a particular country, as I am.

Another thing, the level of sex tourism in Thailand is mind boggling and A LOT more in your face than anything you'll ever see in Colombia, so that will play a factor in these 20-something girls wanting to be seen in public with a guy 30 years her senior, without being on the take.

I have five more weeks of travel left here in Thailand and I will eventually do a "Colombia Vs Thailand" comparison, but so far, I personally like Colombia better although I can see why so many guys love Thailand and why there are soooo many foreign tourists here, Thailand is a pretty cool country.

I agree with scotian. Language is a huge factor. Even the educated girls I met, one was an English teacher funnily enough, can barely discuss simple everyday issues. Anything abstract or hypothetical and they get confused it seems although that might be partially cultural as well. Thais are not known to be overly analytical or interested in anything outside their direct sphere of work and family. When I mentioned my hobbies or a girl saw me read a nonfiction book they always asked why on earth I would do that. The simple fact that I enjoy learning and developing skills (cooking, learning a language, making wine, reading about nanotechnology) was impossible to grasp for them.

Your advice surprises me....I always heard that Asian chicks were even easier than Latinas. I have met a few guys over the years that just couldn't seem to get any Colombianas really interested in them but they did alright in SEA. Maybe they went to the Filipines....are Filipinas that much easier than Thai women?

The type of chicks in the photos can be found all over Colombia...I like slim petite women with small breasts and a small ass....and that alone makes them about a 6 or a 7 on the scale that most Colombian men would use.
That is why I call them my niche. They are just not that sought after like the women with a bit more of athletic build.....sure some guys like them but the guys tend to be very easy to out do.

I realize I have a lot of advantages in Colombia compared to just about anywhere else in the world aside from speaking the language, I have a nice car and a kick ass pad.

I'm not saying that I would up an leave Colombia for Thailand...but if I could find a large number of Thai chicks that are as hot or hotter than the chicks I bang in Colombia it might be would be worth a trip. But as of yet I have seen very little in the way of photos of what guys are actually doing there when it comes to normal chicks.

Every time I get on a kick..... thinking I might give some other place a try.... chochemonger usually steps in and tells me that I'm doing as good as I'm ever going to do in Cali and not to even think about going anywhere else. But I sure wouldn't mine of someone could tempt me with the possibilities.

From what I remember of your tastes in women in Cali...you are a boob man....can't imagine how you are dealing with that in Thailand...

WEDO, I doubt you will enjoy Thailand. At your age, you will be seen as a sex tourist, regardless of what the truth is. A young Thai girl who isn't looking for a sponsor won't be seen with someone your age, because they will instantly be seen as a prostitute. As white foreigners, we don't mix into the Thai culture much. You mentioned before that you get a lot of your girls from social circle. You won't have access to Thai social circles. I hear in the Philippines it is much easier to mix into social circles, but in Thailand the locals pretty much stick together. Probably because so many foreigners here are only here to bang prostitutes, or be drunken fools.

Being a younger guy this isn't a problem. There is still a slight stigma, mainly among the upper class Thais, but it isn't the same with people in my age group as it is yours. It isn't a problem for middle/upper-middle class Thai university girls to be with a foreigner who is fairly close to their age. However, if the same girl was with someone in their 40s+, they would instantly be seen as a prostitute and in a class based culture, that is a pretty big problem.

Larger age gaps are acceptable here, but from what I see, it is mostly acceptable within Thai on Thai relationships, or foreigners with lower class/poor girls. I think it would be very hard for an older foreigner to do well with younger Thai women who are from a decent background.

You could come here and bang a bunch of Thai girls who are looking for a sponsor, but I doubt it will compare to what you have going in Colombia. Your setup there seems pretty good. I don't think you could match it here in Thailand.

After over two months in Medellin, I think I can safely say that I won't be back soon. On the other hand I can't wait to go back to Thailand.

Only speaking really basic spanish and not connecting well at all to latino culture (Can't stand reggaeton for example) might not help too. But here I feel like everyone is lying all the time and just dishonest in general. Would never turn my back on a local here...

Of course Thai's are a little like that too, but this it's just insane here in Medellin.

All the cool colombian chicks that I've met were just visiting Medellin. I might give Colombia another try after learning more spanish and will try a different city. But I'm definitely done with Medellin.

Also not digging the big asses and braces. If you are into that, it will be paradise I guess.

How much time have you spent in Medellin total and how are you meeting your women?

I have never spent more than a couple weeks at a time in Medellin but plan on spending more time there in the future....I have had more difficulty picking up chicks there.....they are a little less approachable....takes more time to get them in bed even after you get to know them.

But when it comes to looks..... I actually see more very thin women with beautiful faces there than in Cali. And in the whole scheme of things I find them much easier to meet than the highly sought after big ass big tit bitches.

When you get my age you aren't trying to get your notch count up....you just want to find a few women that you find highly attractive (and actually like) and ride them into the sunset. jajaja

I see where you are coming from....one night stands are very difficult in Medellin from my experiences.
In other cities (like Cali) women get caught up in the moment and are willing to put out just to see where it will go....in Medellin I almost always felt the chick was sizing me up right from the start.....I didn't start to have success in Medellin until I started lying and telling them that I was looking for a place and planned on moving there.

Sounds about right. Personally I am not willing to compromise my integrity and lie just to get laid, but won't judge anyone who does. Especially after being here for a while.

Here it just feels like they size you up for long term material... It's actually quite disturbing, it feels like an important component of social interaction is just missing.

Talking to western girls suddenly becomes really refreshing, which is really weird. Thailand had the opposite effect on me. (To bring this back to topic)

I can only speak for Chiang Mai. But definitely yes. Tourists (if you find one that is not a dirty hippy) and locals (probably not hi-so though unless you get lucky/put the work in).

If you dress nice and not in shorts and sandals like all the old ugly expats you should be fine...

It's like everywhere. What girl would want to hook up with an old broke loser anywhere in the world? If you are old and successful then you will get the young hotties anywhere in the world I'm sure.

@WEDO- this is just my observation of Thai and Thai people. Check it out. You have nothing to lose, BUT I would dress upper-class....so you aren't confused w/a regular fat, let-down sex tourist. You will see many in Thailand...

If possible, learn some basic thai...hello- swadeekap, bye-swadeekap, thanks- khab khun khap, where to? - bai-nu, I am WEDO- Pom chiu WEDO, water- nam blao, basic numbers, etc etc.

In recap, look sharp, learn some lanugage, make some local friends or tourist friends there (not very hard).

I jumped in thailand pretty much cold and it took a good 2-3 days to just get the hang of things. Its too much activity, pollution, smells and sounds for me to handle first couple days.

I'm not exactly immune from chicks that would like a sponsor here in Colombia....you just have to weed them out which isn't very hard.

Couple years ago I met a super hot chick....I liked her even though she had a boob job and an ass job.... she still looked good because she was tall and had a long back so she carried it well without looking fat to me.

Went out with her three times and slept with her all three times...on the four date met her at Chipi (Mall) for a drink and then she tells me that she wants to show me something....I said "OK" and she leads me to the Comcel store and shows me an Iphone that she wants me to buy her.....told her that wasn't going to happen....she asked me if I liked her and I told her "yes"...she said it doesn't seem like it. jajaja

The only fake tits I've seen here are on chicks with dicks! Honestly I'm just not that into Asian women although I can appreciate how some of them are attractive and can understand why some guys get "yellow fever", it just hasn't happened to me. I've sat on park benches or been in malls and people watched in Thai and Colombian cities and they amount of times I turn my head is much greater in the former. Also, I like the night life better in Colombia than in Thailand.

For me Thailand excels in other ways than the women: its fairly cheap, VERY safe (especially compared to Colombia), modern, good infastructure and the tourist attractions/activities are very well developed and easily accessible.

So, even though I haven't been racking up a huge number of notches and partying like crazy here in Thailand, I still like the place and will likely return in the future, maybe with a Colombiana LOL.

Thailand isnt for everyone. Seems people eitherove it, or hate it. It also really depends on which city you were in, and where in that city you went. Living in Chiang Mai is way different than Bangkok. And Pai is crazy different. Pai is a huge backpacker/hippie town in the hillside. Not gonna find many hot Thai girls there I don't think.

Scotian, when you were in Bangkok, how many times did you go to RCA or Thonglor? You can't compare living and partying in the best areas of Medellin/Bogota, or the girls, with the best in Bangkok without spending some time in the best spots that BKK has to offer.

The girls in Thailand probably won't be as sexy as Colombian girls. Thai culture is fairly reserved. Girls will dress very nice when they go out, but are much less forward than what I hear of Latin chicks. If a Thai girl is very aggressive, she's probably a pro or a ladyboy lol.

Scotian, unless you spend a few months in BKK, it's going to be hard for you to compare it to Medellin/Bogota. You haven't lived here to do that. Pai and CM is nothing like living in Bangkok. BKK is a city you must live in to appreciate. I hated it my first trip, but now that I have friends and know where to go, I love it here. You will find countless people online who say they hated BKK, at first, but after a couple of months they love the city. This has been my experience 100%. I think it would paint a pretty inaccurate picture for you to compare Colombia to Thailand, because you lived in the best places Colombia has to offer, but In Thailand you are way off the grid. Hopefully I'll have some time when you get to BKK and I can try to show you a good time.
