I've rolled thru the Beach beaucoup times. The worst things about it:

(1) Mucho comp

(2) Baller territory

(3) Too seasonal (New Year's Eve is the best)

The best times I've had was during Superbowl Weekend -- this past Feb; and in Feb 2007. The Beach was off da charts during the 2 Superbowls.

Also, there's way too much Euro-trash on the Beach.

I have a killa Puerto Rican/Italian stripper friend who has unreal contacts (athletes, rappers, musicians, ect.). Plus, she knows a shitload of the flyest honeys in Miami. So, when I roll thru the 305...I just call her for the hookup. She's made me ultra-lazy.

I went to South Beach on holiday couple of years ago - there are def some cool people there and i dug the whole latin vibe.

biggest problem/annoyance i found were the douchebag wannabe Gs/rappers from new york who were walking around like they owned the place.

Agreed. Even 2 large is low for a 2BR on the beach - I've seen most are close to 3 large. Granted, you can always find a roach motel/economy rental apt near the beach, but good luck getting Miami girls to bang you there. After all, you are there to bang girls -right? So, your pad better be pimped! If you're there to eye fuck, and go back to your pad with rosy palm, then yeah, a 600USD a month pad can be found right on SoBe too. =)

$6 drinks are laughable in Miami Beach - try $30 for a cocktail, and $18 for a beer for the good clubs worth trying to get in. $6 are dive bar prices, not trendy nightclubs/lounges - which frankly, dive bars are more popular in Fort lauderdale than Miami.

Check out - http://forrent.com and query the areas of North Miami Beach, Aventura, and Hollywood for mid-range places on the beaches or very near the beaches. Hollywood is a sleeper pick - lots of great places on the beach there. Hollywood does not have any of the glamour of Miami Beach, but if you google map the city, it is a very short drive to Miami Beach.

Hey!

I am from Europe and have been to south america for several time and I really enjoyed it. Especially colombia, brazil and so on.
I was thinking about moving there because I liked it that much (i.e. the girls ;-) ). I was also talking with some companies in the IT business, but as compared to US or european circumstances you dont earn nothing down there and they even dont have real IT projects to work.
So I was thinking about moving to Miami because I heard that Miami has lots of latinas. So I can earn good money, do my job, and einjoy latin girls as well.

My question to the people that know south america and the latinas in the US, especially Miami:
Are they as easy as the latinas in South America? For example I think that Colombianas are very easy, even the good looking ones. Is it the same with Colombianas in Miami, or are they since they live and maybe are grown up in the states more hard. Also I think there are more gringos in Miami than in Bogota, so also competition is harder, so that colombian girls in Miama are as hard as american girls and it does not make sense to move to Miami because of this?

Miami is sick. Just got home from a week in South Beach about an hour ago. The tourists are much easier to pick up than the locals, or at least in my opinion. There is nothing wrong with this though, since you have women from all across the globe hanging out in one place.

Miami is fucking awesome. I moved here about 6 months ago. Hot girls can be found all over...anyone who is thinking about moving here, i'd suggest coming down for a weekend and checking out SoBe, Brickell, and the Grove just to name a few of the punani filled areas down here and see for yourself

Doable. But keep in mind, rolling in South Beach requires a Bankroll to operate. You can get grinded out real quick with entrance fees and cocktails prices. Very similar to Vegas.

It is not unheard of to burn through $1000 a day in South Beach. And even then, you are not living large. At all. You are just "in" The Game.

The only girls that I had a serious problem with were the yuppie hoes in South Beach, not every one in Miami is a yuppie. The good news is a lot of girls come to Miami Beach for vacations so you could swing your dick with them. Trying to shoot for the models though will be tough since the only guys I saw score with them were very connected socially, good looking and rich as fuck!

You guys are making it sound like the only girls in Miami are in South Beach and they're all after money. Aren't there places you can go and not have to spend a lot of money to pick up fly honnies? I heard G say it's comparable to Vegas. But in Vegas, I knew all sorts of spots where I didn't have to pay much at all and there were plenty of fly hotties. I'm talking places on the strip with $10 entrance fees plus free drink until 12 or $1 all night. Yeah, they weren't the nicest spots, but they weren't dives either and there was definitely an abundance of beautiful girls. You need to know where to go, but there are definitely a ton of spots in Vegas to pull fly girls, night and day with little $$. Not to mention the house parties all over.

its a decent comparison to say the Strip in Vegas is like South Beach in Miami, and once you get outside of either there are many places that cater to people who dont want to drop $500 on bottle service just to get into a club. you may not find the hottest models there but there definitely is some strong talent.

My experience w/models in SoBe is that they're all young, broke, and status whores. you may be able to make some progress w/them if you are good looking and have solid game but your best chance is anywhere but a club. once you get into that environment they flock to the VIP section and whoever has bottle service to give them liquor because most of them aren't making enough to afford SoBe and they go out alot - basically the highest status people in the club and like G said its hard to compete w/that for less then 1k a night. your best chance to get anywhere w/the models is to somehow get introduced to them through a social activity like beach volleyball or day game them. but they go out every night, work with other male models, and get hit on every 5 minutes so your chances are slim

My analysis was skewed since I only was thinking of South Beach. Miami is much more diverse then the little island of luxury. You can find plenty of hot women that you scoop with confidence, good looks and game all over Miami-Dade county.

The city has some wonderful things about it but make sure those things are something you can appreciate. My favorite honeys are usually Latinas, black Caribbean and white European and Miami is stock full of those. It is also a great city for partying/night life.

Man, I'm not necissarily trying to bang models. The model body isn't even my type, I like girls with curves. I'm just wondering if there are mad hotties outside of South Beach. Everyone is making it sound like the only girls to choose from are on South Beach. And let me tell you, as a kid who grew up in Vegas... There are TONS of spots ON THE STRIP that are super cheap with tons of fly girls. One example is Blondies in Planet Hollywood. Last time I went there it wasn't quit as good as it was three years ago when I went, but back then, it was $10 drink all night, beer pong tournaments, and after the tournies, a DJ would come on and they would pull out the tables and make the place into a dance floor. I may have had more fun at that place than I did at most of the clubs to tell you the truth. Another pussy hotspot that is cheap in Vegas, and I know is still going strong is Stoney's. On Fridays it's free beer night until 12 and Thursdays are ladies night, where drinks for men are still reasonably priced. Only downfall to this place, it's a country bar. But I'm sure 3/4 of the people that are there don't like country music, and half the night they are playing R&B/Rap/things you are gonna hear in the clubs in Vegas. Yeah, you see your shit kickers here and there, but it's a pretty good hang out spot, especially to pick up, as the place is HUGE! It's at the west end of the strip, past the Mandalay Bay. I strongly recomend checking it out on a Thursday if you are in Vegas, especially if you are on a budget travel.

I plan on buying property in Miami in about 2 years. I'm looking for a neighborhood / area guide to help me pick the best location & deal. Found some good deals in Cutler Bay for instance but dont know much about the location, also some some deals in North Miami Beach.

If anyone can give me a breakdown (ie safety/general opinion) on the main areas and neighborhoods of Miami or a website with such info that would be much appreciated!

My main priority is sorta two fold.

I'll be looking for the best deal in a safe decent area. I dont have to be right on the beach. I dont mind driving 15-30 to get to the beach or main area.

Im open to alot since I dont have to be in any one place or specific area. Thats why I just need a solid breakdown of the different areas of Miami. So if I see a property in "x" location online I can already make a general opinion based on location/safety/schools/prices/ethnic makeup ect.

I've lived in the Grove, South Miami, Pinecrest, West Kendall, and I currently live in Coral Gables.

Anything south of The Falls (Pinecrest/Perrine) is a no go for me.

Cutler Bay is south of the Falls.

Once you get too far south, you find yourself FAR away from the action. I think living in central Miami, which is where I live, is a great place to be because you can quickly get north (Brickell, downtown, Beach, etc.), and you can quickly get south, but the only time I've ever needed to go South was when I was messing with chicks who lived in Homestead.

Speaking of Homestead, if you telecommute, run an internet business, or can get a job at the new hospital there on Campbell, it might not be a bad spot for you because they have a number of brand new gated communities with homes for low, reasonable prices.

From a rent standpoint, the $1000/month I pay for a 1/1.5 townhome in this area, would get me a 3/2 house in one of those communities down there.

However, if you do have to commute for your job, then I'd want to live as close to that job as possible, with gas, and now tolls everywhere here, whatever you'd save on housing by living so far south will be chewed up by those expenses.

I wouldnt mind driving 20 minutes to get downtown/beach if I found a great deal.

I can get to the Grove in 5 mins, Brickell in 10, and the beach at night in about 15-20 mins. I'd say the farthest south you could really be is Pinecrest/Kendall, in the Dadeland area which is close to US-1.

I'm assuming you're a single dude and you want to enjoy the nightlife, Cutler Bay doesn't make any sense for you until you're doing the settle down, family thing, and even then living that far south only makes sense to me if you either work as far north as Kendall or as far south as Homestead, otherwise your commute will be horrendous.
