I think it all depends on how much you are going to use it.

Or if it makes sense to take clients there to make money.

I have considered it, however, at this point, I just don't think I would use it enough and I would feel like I have to go there.

What are you going to use it for?

@G Seems I'm hearing the place being mentioned often..by residents of SoBe and socialites who visit MIA often.

This got my curious.

i would use it when there on holiday...which is 4-6 x a year

there's also an outpost in toronto which I could use. Haven't been there once so i don't know if it's my steeze, to steal one of your terms

purpose would be strictly to socialize, nothing biz related..

What is it $1500? $1600?

I think there are two tiers of membership, 1) you can use the local Soho house, 2) you can use any Soho house.

So if you wanted to use the Toronto one as well, I think that would be more. Anyone know how the Toronto one is? I am sure a few guys on here are members.

I guess it depends on how much damn time you want to spend at Soho house.

Or if $1500 to you is like $15 to a normal person (like me) hell, just throw down for the membership.

It also depends on how much time you want to spend at that part of the beach. I operate in different parts. My South Beach moves are pretty innovative.

But if you are a heavy LIV, Fontainebleau and Scarpetta guy and have it Locked like Masterlock, you might want to add Soho to the arsenal.

I thought the soho membership was quite a bit more G. I've been in there and it's a nice property. I applied for a job there and had an interview but ended up taking something else.

The cost to use any house is $2400, about 1/2 for just Toronto.

Ill check it out this winter (MIA) . Only if it blows me away would I consider a membership.

Im also looking to check out areas other than some including brickell, etc.

Just stayed there for spring break for an average of $50/night. It is usually cheaper, but the prices go up at the beginning of March (Spring Break) and again at the end of March (Ultra Music Festival).

My favorite part is the free food, three times a day. Lots of people said it was bland and repetitive, but I enjoyed it. Besides, hot sauce can make anything taste good. With all these savings you can treat yourself to a nicer meal. I recommend Planet Sushi.

The hostel organizes an outing every night with an all you can drink pre-party. A $20-25 gets you a wrist band for drinks at the hostel and club cover. The clubs are Mansion, Story, Liv, Nikki Beach. I can't imagine these are the top spots in Miami, but the alcohol/cover value is worth it.

The pre-parties are fantastic. Everyone comes out to drink and mingle. The party bus picks gets there around 11PM. But once you are in the club, it is hard to stay together. So your best bet is to meet girls during the pre-party, because clubs are full of dudes. People who figured it out just bring their own liqueur, pre-party, and then do their own thing.

There is a dress code to all these venues and most of the dudes don't know or care about dressing up. I let some kid borrow my dress shirt, just so he could get in. Having said that, all the girls dress really nice and there was one guy who went suited up. I bet everyone noticed him.

When you need to take a day off all that drinking, go to the coffee/gift shop in the Wolfsonian museum one block away. It is quiet, air-conditioned, and it has big windows for people watching. Chances are you will be the only visitor there, so it is a perfect place to catch up on your reading. Their coffee sucks, but the restroom is great.

Other Notes
- the hostel is two blocks from the beach
- there is an outdoor gym, just before the beach
- bring your running shoes, lots of people jog there
- there is a liqueur store on your way to the beach
- there is a 7-Eleven across the street, Walgreens is too far
- there is plenty of hooking up happening at this place

I lived on Ocean Drive for a year.
Traffic is absolutely horrible and good luck with parking if your Building doesn't have assigned parking. You can get a zone permit but that doesn't guarantee you a parking spot.

The only perk of the beach for me was waking up to the Ocean behind my buildings pool and the convenient logistics of stumbling back drunk to my condo with tourist lays after the club.

Memorial Day and July 4th my ass was on the first plane to somewhere in the Caribbean or South America. Trust me you don't want to be stuck on one of the causeways for 2 hours on a holiday weekend.

Nobody likes to act themselves on Sobe, its always some sort of front or just really poser type people.

The Ocean Drive condo really was a major perk though when it came to snatching women out of the clubs.

Still was an overall great year, just gotta know where to fish and actually have fun while running into pussy as a plus.
