I'm drunk. One of the Bernie people I live with was sober. All of a sudden we get into a debate over Trump vs. Bernie. He calls Trump insane and questions how I could support him for POTUS. Maybe I'm drunk, but I'm not stupid. I counter that ad hominem insults are a favorite tactic of the left and that he's not so much trying to come up with an actual reason why Bernie is better than Trump so as trying to shame me. I point out that he's trying to install himself as my moral authority. He sputters and is in defense mode.

Calling out the magician's tricks a la Benji Shapiro works.

He told me that Trump was wildly inconsistent, which I could have (and should have) countered that Trump is very consistent on issues like immigration and education. Next time.

He would try to get me to talk about Trump's healthcare plan, which I need to research more on. I just told him that I needed to do more research and he wasn't going to sucker me intoa conversation where I needed to do some work on my own

At that point I told the Bernie person that given our busy personal lives, we're not as politically informed as we like to think we are. It was at that time another Bernie supporter (more anti-Hillary, would vote Trump against Shillary if Bernie didn't get nomination) started joining my side, saying that I was totally free to have my own viewpoints on Trump.

Objectively, it was a stalemate, but I got a Bernie supporter to stump for my support of Trump, so I say I win. Also not surprising: the Bernie supporter I was arguing with has terrible B.O. If anyone needed baking soda, it would be him...

18 year old whiskey followed by a movie I was enjoying was fucked up by my female friend being attention whore-y. I said my peace nicely a couple times, then got up and got the fuck out of there. She was all "but why are you leaving?" to me, to the group, who the fuck cares really and I responded "I'm trying to lose myself in the movie, not have a fucking chat-fest" as I walked out the door. She's lucky she's been a solid damn friend the last few times I've seen her otherwise I'd excommunicate her.

Many texts followed from her and others. My response, "I'm good now, I didn't want to be around that bullshit and now I'm not."

Got home, the wine that my girl and I opened the other night was sitting on the counter, and I just couldn't let that flavor go to waste.

Caught up on the Trump thread and it looks like Super Tuesday is going to be a great success.

All is good in the world, except what's not, cheers fellas.
