RE: The Los Angeles thread
Guys,

Saw several nice flats in Downtown with awesome view (at 15th floor)..

I am tempted to get the flat, its really luxurious with rooftop pool and gym etc..

However, I was looking at the crime stats of down town :-http://www.trulia.com/real_estate/Los_Angeles-California/crime/

Seems like literally in last 7 days there has been about 4 crimes in that road!!!

So I was wondering, is it really that bad? If I don't go out after 12 at night and only commute around morning then I will be fine?

Thanks.

The crime you will face downtown is theft. Someone might try to steal your phone, wallet or other belongings. As long as you are careful, I don't see why you would need to worry too much.

I'm down. We could do Santa Monica, Culver City, West Hollywood, Downtown, wherever. There's a little bar hopping on sunset just west of la cienega. Start at Eveleigh, then the old Red Rock (it just reopened as something else), Rock n Reillys. There's also Hudson and Laurel Hardware.

Culver City is a good spot for a meetup, because it's next to the 10 and the 405. Just don't expect any babes there. Or an all you can eat Korean barbecue joint in K-town so we can have our own eating competition.

Plus, it may be better to to keep the meetup location private, and just PM it to everyone interested.

This may be the only time I'm jealous about not being in LA. Basil, you should take the guys to the slut bar by my old place. I'll text you. At least there, many girls show up looking to be banged and there is usually quality there. Of course this is LA so that place may be dead already.

RE: The Los Angeles thread
Went out last night, first for a date. Wasn't really feeling the date, honestly should've looked at some porn beforehand to get myself in my usual "I just want to fuck" mode. As I was leaving the venue, there were these older women begging a group of young British men to join them at their hotel, pretty funny.

Went to another venue solo, motioned a cute girl eyeing me to come over. She bashfully looks away, and then her friend brings her over and it was super easy. Turns out she's visiting from the South - sweet freaky virgin, but odds of much happening seem nil so I bail for something else but don't really get anywhere after that.

After her, talking to random girls just felt alienating, and it was compounded by rolling solo. I find it a lot easier to power through the bullshit when you have a wing around somewhere. With these big mixed social cliques, where few people are actively looking to meet strangers, you can feel left out in the cold when running solo.

This has been circulating on the internet:

[Image: screen%20shot%202013-07-01%20at%2012.10.31%20pm.png]

That graph has sums of over 100%. This one is supposedly normalized, but not sure if it's accurate:

From reading the paper, if you met your girlfriend through friends in a bar, then that would be +1 in the bar AND the 'through friends' categories.

I imagine for hot girls in LA, their bangs are mostly or overwhelmingly through friends or work (i.e. the entertainment industry). Unless guys are balling out in a club or whatever, it just doesn't seem like 8s and 9s are dating or even fucking guys who cold approach. Law Dogger nailed it, with his Boxgap Steak article. It's like you see some money on the ground, and just as you try to approach it and pick it up, you bump into an invisible glass wall. It's not that your game or looks aren't good enough - because when you do meet these girls through the right channels, they aren't shooting you down right and left.

I know the spot you're talking about, and I know one that's maybe even better (I'll text you). I figure if it's going to be a lot of guys, on a soft weeknight, like last time this happened albeit on a smaller scale, it's mostly going to be a meet and greet rather than a chance to pickup girls. So I'd just choose a place that's convenient for meeting up and not necessarily suited to getting strange.

RE: The Los Angeles thread
@Basils picture. Apparently there was a black member of the local Nazi party too (left).

But seriously I need to find me a nice black place in the Hollywood area.

I went with a hostel group to Boulevard3 last night. They offered free vodka mixes, beer and barbecue + limo ride and free entry to this club for 20$. I told the hostel guy that I didn't want to eat or drink so I only paid 10$. Two minutes later I lined up at the barbecue and stuffed myself with cajun chicken and free beer haha.

I stayed only about 45 minutes in Boulavard3. Nice looking club but the prospects were far and in between. Loads of hotties but many ethnic groups of girls. Asians, Arabs, Indians, Latinas. It's already hard enough to pull for me on limited cash and no place of my own so I'm staying away from groups for obvious time and money wasting reasons.

I walked out and a block further there was live jazz music playing and free entry. I had some good convo's with some chocolate ladies there. One seem to like me but was there with her giant brother. He didn't like it much haha.

Walked back to the hostel around 1.30. Went to bed and was later woken by the hostel's hottie (7) and she got into my bed. It was the second night in a row that she did that but again she didn't want to do anything but a bit of cuddling. Yeah whatever. I spooned her and went to sleep. She's a princess and everyone besides me treats her like one. She travels with this pathetic ozzie guy who literally is her voluntary slave. As in slave with a capital S. Worst case of friend zone I have ever seen.
This guy must be raging inside since he slept right across us in the dorm. What an omega tool.

@NeilS- check out drais on fridays. Hip-hop night. Line up early (10.30-11pm), cover is gonna be 20 buxs. Some fly looking black girls there. Nice outdoor cabana/patio area. Decent dancefloor. Nice views. Can smoke weed in the back.

Saturday is pretty good too, but I believe its more top 40s. PM me, might head out to Hollywood tonight.

Neil, check out the Kiss N Grind. It's a semi-regular thing that goes on, you have to follow their page to see when the next one is happening: http://kissngrind.com

More of a progressive black crowd. I don't like the regular hiphop clubs, too many fights and drama and ghetto attitudes. Kiss N Grind attracts a more sophisticated urban crowd that wants to hear hiphop and soul. They'll have DJs like ?uestlove from The Roots.

Unfortunately I don't have too many recommendations for black clubs. I'm into Latinas mostly so I don't really go to them. I know if I walk down Cahuenga Blvd between Hollywood and Sunset I'll see clubs with black folks, I just don't know the names.

RE: The Los Angeles thread
I had a lot of work to do tonight, but a buddy was insistent on grabbing a beer real quick somewhere in Sherman Oaks. We decided to hit Madbulls Tavern. I've been here before and had "meh" feelings about it. But damn, it was off the hook tonight. We rolled in around 9. At this time, the ratio was like 70-75% women. We couldn't believe it. Almost all were in 2 sets. We approached a Latina couple and ended spending a few hours talking to them and left with their numbers. We thought about venue bouncing but I really couldn't be out all night and they seemed really interested enough to want to meet up with us again. So I bounced.

By 11 the ratio had mostly evened out and it was packed. Lots of cute girls all around. I will definitely start coming back more regular, but will shoot for early hours.

^^^Madbulls, interesting. I've seen that phenomena at The Local Pheasant, early in the night as well. I don't go regularly, so I thought it was just a coincidence.

Bungalow in Santa Monica is still a can't miss spot. Was there Friday night and pulled a girl out. Heard last night there was an hour line at 8:30pm. Scores of girls that are dressed up.

Don't go to Viceroy. Spent last night there as part of an event after party. Great place for a date, and that's about all I saw in terms of availability.

@Speakeasy- I've swooped a couple girls out of madbulls.

A nearby venue change is to Gyu Kaku on Ventura and Van Nuys. Its an abs. madhouse in there and has dope happy hours from 9.30pm till midnight.

Afterhours venue change if you do late-night bounce is to the Spot Hookah Bar.

@Cap7- I heard they opened up a new local peasant in woodland hills too. You been?

Thanks, I was just about to ask some of you valley guys what are your favorite venue change spots around Ventura Blvd. I feel weird even asking because I don't know my own area's nightlife. I rarely go out around here.

Any other suggestions? Has anyone been to Blue Dog tavern? It looks tiny, but always seems packed. I know there's a place called Coda on Van Nuys blvd that I haven't been to in ages. Just a little lounge type bar with a small dance area. I don't even know if it's still cracking or not. But it used to be alright a few years back. Okay for the valley.

RE: The Los Angeles thread
Have not been to Woodland Hills since I stopped working there last year. Woodland Hills is depressing. I used to go to the mall at lunch and Whole Foods for approaches. Not a lot of options. Woodland Hills is a suburban wasteland, and I see cops on the 101 all the time. When I moved to LA, I looked into living there to be close to work. I almost thought about staying in San Diego because that area was so depressing. My condolences to anyone that lives there. Online Latina game works the best.

I guess the good news would be that you're close to Simi Valley. Last year I got a couple of online lays by scoping out the Simi Valley girls. Nothing I'm proud of, but had a blast and some fun stories. Used Roosh's, "Can I use your bathroom?" line a bunch of times in the Valley. My friend and I used to laugh about Simi Valley girls. All you need to do is get them out. It's so boring up there that they will do anything if there is a new, good-looking guy in town. They all know each other from high school and are desperate for new men.

My goal is/was to have a girl in the Valley and a girl on the Westside. I want to do a weekday with the Valley girl and Weekends with the Westside girl. Maybe I'll have more time for this in the fall or winter.

What about Valencia. I have a friend out there and checked it out before...nothing to do but there were some bored young suburban girls all over the place

Went to check out Meshell N'degeocello at the Santa Monica Pier summer concert series tonight. Good fucking lord man, there were cuties all over the damn place. Most seemed fairly friendly too. Down on the beach adjacent to the pier, thousands of people were watching the show with their sets of friends and it might have been a bit harder to work, but I could see maybe plopping your beach chair down next to a set of cute girls, taking out some alcohol or food or a J and offering it to get social with everyone. Up on the pier it's pretty easy to get in random conversation between sets. Nice spot. Worth going on Thursday summer nights for sure. If anybody wants to roll and try some sets, hit me up.

RE: The Los Angeles thread
I've gone before...was wondering, seems like its getting more popular/hip to do. It was a little hard to break into most of the groups since it was all really tight social circles. Also you were stuck with the immediate vicinty of people around you meaning it was kind of hard to "work" it. Also when it got dark it was hard to do work IIRC since you can't see much and everyone is so enveloped within their little social circle picnic.

I know there's some after-event at the Viceroy I don't know how full that place gets though but its sort of by the pier.

Hermosa Beach also has one on Sunday nights in the summer which is very crowded as well. Younger demographic.

BTW, what is the timing on the concerts? Like what is the peak time, how long did it last until.

could you smoke a joint out there? i know SM is really bad with smoking outside...were there cops...could you drink on the beach? how did that work, did you just have to be discreet?

RE: The Los Angeles thread
I got there just after it started at 7 and it was already packed. By the time the main act came they were no longer letting any more people on the pier due to safety reasons. So your only choice at that point was to sit on the beach and watch a large screen.

I smelled pot in the air as I was walking around the beach. It seemed lightly patrolled. I've had drinks out there last summer and it didn't seem like anyone was being harassed, just don't make it too obvious.

If you're going to try and infiltrate social circles, probably best to set up early before the music starts as people are getting there, like maybe 5-6pm. I imagine that's when people are most open and not yet too quarantined into their social circles. On the pier though, me and buddy just posted up next to walkway where lots of people are constantly moving by and from there just ping for eye contact. If they smile back, then go ahead and open. And if something hooks, there are tons of places nearby to bounce to being where you are. I could see this being great if you do it right. The talent was off the fucking chain last night. solid 8s were EVERYWHERE and since everyone is at the beach just checking out live music, there was no vibe of pretentiousness. I saw Jack Johnson out there a couple years ago. Girls galore.
