I don't know if he grew up with all those people or how they met, but I always see them shooting the shit on Facebook and girls asking him when they're gonna chill again lol. I know for a fact that he's not going out to popular bars/clubs, strips or anything like that. He's covered in tattoos, never dresses up and I know how he is. I would weasel my way into his circle if I ever went out there (which I really have no desire to anymore after this thread) and try to break into some sort of music scene/fishbowl by going to shows and events every week. That and probably day game inside the city (suburbs and hoods).

Is your buddy Mexican? Is he mostly banging Mexican chicks? Not many whites live on the Eastside of LA.

Like I said, LA ain't so bad if you like Asian and Mexican chicks since there are tons of them in LA.
He's Nicaraguan and a decent looking guy. He's banging some white and mainly Hispanic girls from what I see on Facebook. I don't really mess with white girls unless they clearly want my dick so maybe I would like the city more than y'all. I'm already used to driving everywhere and sitting in traffic.

You might like LA more, and specifically East LA, if you are OK with banging mostly Hispanic chicks and the occasional white hipster chick (there are some whites in Northeastern part of the Eastside). Rents are cheaper on the Eastside, but crime is a serious issue. I guess the Eastside wouldn't be too bad if you didn't mind that, although I have never heard of someone moving to LA to live on the Eastside. You would be living among mostly locals and illegal immigrants.
I don't know if I want to move across country to live in the hood. I'd have to visit and check everything out to get a clear picture of everything I'm working with. I was talking to someone from here about moving out there strictly for going out and fucking girls.

Also, I don't know what Hispanic girls in Texas look like, but there's a good chance they're hotter than the ones here. So if Hispanic girls are your main thing, you could be in for a huge downgrade moving here. Plus they'd probably be more obsessed with money and bling, the ones here. I posted pictures, I think in this thread, of what Hispanic girls look like here.
I go after barely legal ones so I would get all the girls before they blow up. I don't know how I would do it there though. I'd have to find the spots where the youngsters chill and work my way in or something. It would be fun for sure.

I've been outdoor sign-shopping. Looking to retrofit a digital sign unto the existing sign on the office. 5ft x 10ft sign. Quotes are in crazy-land territory. Anybody have an experience or thoughts about this, specifically in LA?

FYI, the Yamashiro's Farmer's Market opens up again tonight, I referenced it in my very first post at the top of this thread. Runs through summer. I don't think I'll be going tonight though, have too much work to do.

Hey has anyone been to first friday's on Abbott Kinney in Venice? Sounds like it could have some potential. http://www.abbotkinney1stfridays.com/

Both places are fun to go to although first Fridays are a clusterfuck of people and parking is a nightmare. Good looking out on yamashiro, I'll definitely be out there again.

I'm gonna be in LA from the 8th to the 10th.

West hollywood is the most central/offers the most flexibility. I also think it has the best mix of nightlife options. If you want more of a club scene, Hollywood proper is a good option. Hollywood is also closer to places like los feliz, silverlake, and echo park, which have a more hipster vibe.

What type of girls do you like?
What's your scene?

LA is like a thousand cities in one, have to specify to be directed.

Random notes:

I tried to let my dog sniff a hot girl as an opener a few days ago in Weho. She just walked away very fast.

I think Weho and Santa Monica have the hottest girls in LA. If you like white thin girls with pretty faces.

I've been, its super crowded, fairly young crowd...in the summer it really gets populated (and a bit ghetto). Shame, it used to be a lot better...they used to actually have gallery parties, free booze, cool art exhibitions, but the B&T crowds started going there for the food trucks and most of the stores stopped doing good events.

The other room is good that night, if you can get in..just go earlier rather than later.

i lived on electric behind abbot kinney for the last 5 years or so. the first friday shenanigans were insane like 3-4 years ago bc you could drink on the street, tons of free food, etc...it has blown up big time since then. super crowded with a big-time herd mentality. personally it's not my scene bc of the thickness of the crowds, i prefer more space to breathe and stuff. there will definitely be tons of hot girls tho. just depends if you're in the mood to fight for elbow space.

the lines to the meat market bars like the Brig or otherroom just get insane after like 8pm...if you live around there, would be a better idea to hit up a normal friday night.

another down-side to the first fridays now is that the cops just shut the whole street down around midnight. people start trying to take over the street at the liquor store at california/abbot....and by then it's borderline riot gear with cops on horses...

just stick to regular fridays at the brig, other room and townhouse if you like playing pool unless you are ready for a complete shitshow.

side-note...anybody ever go to Piano Bar in hollywood? friday and saturday night are also jammed, sick ass music. the girls are not next-level fly, it has a hipster feel to the place...i enjoy the scene though, especially the good tunes. that's my go-to spot these days...awesome happy hour during the week too especially if you know the bartender which is pretty easy after like 2 visits...

just tried out St. Felix on cahuenga right there too....highly recommended for a "quick bite" if you're on a date. happy hour food prices are legit, and the food is good...that's a great little block right there.

http://www.pianobarhollywood.com/

been chillin at geisha house too lately...really good food despite the shitty yelp reviews. everybody been hatin' there on yelp, but i really like that place. enjoy your weekend.

I believe there are a decent number. There is a corner on venice blvd in culver city that has a brazillian mall, several brazillian restaurants.

Also, in Hermosa Beach there is an area where Brazillians congregate on the weekends to play some soccer/volleyball type game. at least in the past they used to...forget which marker but its south of hermosa beach strand..within 2-3 blocks....

So far I have West Hollywood and Downtown as options for housing.

Any other places I should consider?

Monterey Park a decently located place to stay?

When people say they like "West Hollywood", exactly where are you going? just curious what's out there these days...back in the days I used to go to Miyagis, Jones, Formosa and Dublins a lot...but really haven't been there that much in the last 6-7 years.

Lubitsch (haven't been in a while, sounds like it's gone downhill maybe)
Eveleigh (it's a restaurant, you gotta be comfortable with approaching tables, this place was my bread and butter a year and half ago)
Rock 'n' Reilly's (sausagefest but most guys don't approach. I got a bang from here)

Has anyone here actually pulled from The Other Room? I've heard its good on weekdays for the happy hour slot, but on weekends its just crazy packed and loud. Talent is good but cliquish.

I've been several times. It could be just coincidence but felt like the girls here were more open and flirty than most spots. Got more eye contact here than usual. This was on a weekend night. Always worth swinging through if you're in the area since you can walk from the townhouse bar.
