As far as Iraq goes they needed a dude like Saddam to keep those people in line. He said the same shit..Fuck with me you die. That's the only way in those countries
Most Americans simply do not or cannot understand the nature of their country. America does not have a real functional economy. Yes, tech, medical, and farming - all great. But very small in comparison with the basic necessities of life.
America is an Empire. Presently, 75% all foreign exchange reserves are in USD. This means 75% of global trade must eventually work its way through US banks. How do we maintain such a high percentage? An aggressive foreign policy of war and foreign aid. Demand for dollars is instigated by either giving countries money, or using war. The entire country is basically a trickle down machine where the so-called 1% take a cut of the vast majority of global trade, which is in turn distributed to the masses via government spending and luxury purchases.
Who are the countries you hear about the most these days? Libya, Syria, Iran, and Russia. The first three explicitly refused to use USD. Russia is actively seeking to undermine the USD regime.
At the moment, it will take at least a decade to rebuild the American economy. This is a major reason Obama is a terrible president. He gets the system, which is why he reneged on his anti-war stance. But he doesn't have the balls to keep the empire going long enough for us to figure out a long term solution.

ALL religious freaks SUCK. The more religious they claim to be, the bigger assholes they are.
And there are no religious zealots on the Left. And the Left didn't succumb to religious pressure during their convention and add God back into the platform.
The left is far more religious than the right. So they have replaced faith in god with faith in human equality, but that makes them even more fanatical. Nearly everything the left does is an attempt to maintain this fiction that human beings are equal. As this fantasy becomes increasingly untenable, they become more fanatical.
Modern leftism in America is basically a modern variant of Puritanism. On a purely ethical level, there is very little difference. This is why the most ardent leftists tend to come from former Puritan strongholds, especially in the northeast.
When it comes to non-whites, they typically aren't particularly leftist (eg blacks with their hatred of gays), they just want a piece of the pie.

and you got this where? Just because he's more concerned about the welfare of the everyday citizen, and would rather spend money for health care and social programs than trillions more on the military like Romney?
The US spends more on welfare and social programs than the military. We've spent trillions since LBJ's Great Society and the poverty rate hasn't changed since 1969. Instead of reforming these programs to achieve their goals our leaders borrow more money to pay for them.
Not really. The federal government spends about $20 billion a year on TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families or welfare) and about $80 billiion on food stamps. You can throw in another $30 billion or so in housing assistance. All that still doesn't get you anywhere near the $700 billion a year of defense spending.
Social Security and Medicare eat up twice as much as defense spending, but they're not poverty programs; they're middle class transfer programs. Also, when you think about it, defense spending is largely a middle class transfer program as well. Defense contractors are really smart about locating their facilities all over the country. So anytime someone tries to eliminate a program, a bunch of congressman are going to oppose it because they want to lose jobs in their districts.
Bottom line is: yes, we're going broke, but it's not because of poor people.

Of Course it was planned. In the same way, the invasion and murder of Quadaffi was planned. - The date 9-11, and even the way the dead body of the ambassador is exposed - its all done to make a clear statement to Obama and Hilary.
".....You fuck with ours and we'll do the same to yours......"
This was pulled off by most likely Quadaffi loyalists as an act of revenge ...........
but TPTB and media will definitely not mention that...

It is viewed as the type of reaver of souls that is merciless and haphazard with the way it slaughters hundreds of thousands and destroys nations. It's a hated entity, and I feel like the average US citizen possesses a tragically wide gulf of disconnect between how they view their own country and how it's viewed abroad. People don't forget about what the US has done in its war on Iraq and its support of the oppressive regimes in the region.
The dogmatic enemies of US policy are hyper-sensitive towards the attacks leveled against them, both physically and in the media. Religious people, in general, are insecure in the face of criticism because their ideologies are bullshit across the board. Propaganda like the video that set the violence off is perceived as ideological cover for the US to wage even more wars and pursue its imperialist policies further.
Also, the attack on the US consulate was a calculated political maneuver on the part of Islamists in Libya. Given the void of power left by Gaddafi, this attack on a common enemy to virtually all Libyans, regardless of ideology, allows the Islamists to assume the role as vanguard of a struggle against the United States and all the negative imagery that tags along with America. This will help them establish the military cover needed to create the Islamic emirate of Libya, or whatever they choose to call the entity they forge with the barrels of their weapons.
Americans shouldn't be encouraging an attack on Libya. You, the average citizen, has nothing to gain from siphoning billions of taxpayer dollars to the government (most of which will be used for corrupt purposes), just so that you can sate your petty nationalistic fervor that creates nothing but a thinner wallet. Don't add fuel to the fire in a war between Western Imperialists and Arab Islamists. You don't benefit from it in any way, and all it does is hurt you and other people around the world.
I am sorry, the people who planned and carried out these attacks are THUGGISH EVIL MOTHERFUCKERS.
But in one sense, you are right. It is hopeless to convince them, as the idiot Barack Obama tried to do, that the USA is NOT some sort of evil empire. They believe in their souls. Of course, they also believe in their souls that everyone should be like them, think like them, and act like them.
We are at war with these people, and we should take every opportunity to assasinate them, interrogate them, and/or take high powered precision weapons and splatter them all over the desert like road kill and leave everyone else alone. Find out who these leaders are and give them acute lead poisoning.
We can do this quite quietly and quite effectively.

Does that make us "thuggish evil motherfuckers" when we kill civilians? Or is that OK since we're the good guys?

The United States is an "evil empire" on any moral metric. The reason why it's so easy to incite violence against America in the region is because, whether you want to admit it or not, the people doing so have justice on their side.
You would have thought Americans would realize it by now: dudes in Iraq were throwing themselves by the thousand into the maw of the American war machine to put an end to the occupation there. If men believe they are fighting for a just and moral cause, they will be far more willing to sacrifice life and limb. This is the principle reason why occupying and colonial powers never win in the end. The willpower of the occupied eventually overcomes the technological advantages of the imperial power.
In the case of Libya, you have the Islamists who attacked the consulate there because they were convinced that a show of force against the nation's most hated adversary would bolster the legitimacy of their arms and allow them to extend guardianship over the populace. That guardianship will be the premise for the establishment of an Islamic state there, and the men with the guns will reap all the benefits of control of that state.
