RE: Advice on Rolling Dolo
I rolled Dolo today, I just came back, it was a complete failure. I was actually going to meet a girl and her friends but the bouncers tonight had a very stupid vibe and weren't letting many people in, and the girls were in already. I got tired of the bullshit and went to buy some cigarrettes, I saw various sets of girls ranging from 3-4 girls. I considered opening them but I was feeling down and didn't feel like doing the extra work for all the extra girls in the set.
I'm amazed by how many people actually roll dolo over here, and how successful they are. At this exact moment I find it very hard to cope it, maybe I need some more hints, or just needed a good vibe tonight. All my friends had other stuff to do and thats why I decided to try rolling dolo, even though that wasn't part of the plan, I considered it as a backup plan, which is what it turned out to be.

keep doing it - find one place you like and feel comfortable at and work there - that way when you walk in you know what you are getting and you will start to recognize some faces and people there to the point you will have some people to chat with

RE: Advice on Rolling Dolo
I've been rolling solo often, because I only have two capable wingmen, and they are often occupied (one is married, the other got a serious GF).
The rest of my friends, they are good guys and all, but I'd rather just have some beers with them, shoot the crap for a while and then when it's time to sarge, to continue solo. They hinder me rather than help me.
As far as suitable spots for going solo, this includes any kind of club with a theme you like - that way you won't even ask "what do I do between opening sets" - you'd just be enjoying yourself, that's what. This is different for everyone, it can be a place with live music, a sports bar, a drum'n'base club, or whatever, but somewhere you have fun and enjoy being even if there were no girls to hit on.
I also smoke cigarettes like the G, in my country this is still possible in clubs despite thightening smoking restrictions over the last several years, but even if it weren't, they would make special smoking parlours where it would be even easier to start a conversation with a smoking girl on your smoke break.

You have to force yourself to do it and just plow through the openers and sets. All the hints in the world won't help if you're afraid or too "down" to approach. Even if you're just casually starting conversations with people that is better than sitting around brooding in depression. The whole point is to go out and have fun, looks like you're missing out bro. If you feel more comfortable in a bar than a club, hit that up solo. If you'd rather do day game first, work on that. Getting out of your comfort zone is necessary to begin overcoming the anxiety.
Lack of motivation is often my problem on a bad day, just gotta do it. Sooner or later you'll be in a good mood again.

RE: Advice on Rolling Dolo
I've started to do the solo thing. Your mind will resist you like crazy: it's too far, I'm too tired, it's too late, I'll do it tomorrow, I'll stay home and jerk off, etc. You must will yourself to do it and get out there. Even if you just talk to some dudes and hardly talk to any girl, you will have done more than most people would be willing to do. Going out, especially when you're practicing (which I am), is itself a success. Same as just say something to a girl instead of nothing. Just go out. Each time you do something socially uncomfortable, your confidence increases a little bit. You can't just decide to be confident one day.

I seriously need to emigrate.
Split, Croatia.
@houston: social conditioning, I guess. In today's culture, doing anything alone can often be considered as "loser activity", "creepy" or whatever. I believe that this is because most hobbies and activities are not done for the sake of just enjoying them, but for gaining social status / impressing people.

- I think I want to hit some bars in the Downtown of the city, a college bar, and a place near the crib just to mix it up a bit. Will use some suggestions from yelp and folks here.
I wouldn't "suit up" unless you're in a place where at at least some other men are suited up (or close to it) such as downtown bars right after work. I've gone out suited up a few times in places with no other
"suits" and I was surprised that I didn't get additional eye contact out of it (usually I get close to zero eye contact before approaching, so any increase would have been noticeable). When I mentioned this to a friend (a bit of a natural) he came up with something that made sense to me:
'Women don't want different-different, they want different-same, a better version of "standard"'
The "standard" you're trying to beat depends on venue type. You want to stand out as much as possible while still being "standard". Standing out in any other way makes you out of place. Think of an under-dressed man in a suited up spot. Or a suited up man in a bar full of flip-flop wearing 22 year olds. If he doesn't have his rolling luggage with him and a story about just getting off a plane to meet a friend, he's going to look silly there.
I can second the other people here who say that you needn't worry about questions about being out alone. I've had women ask me if I'm alone and have tried answers from "waiting for my friends" to "they're over there somewhere" (works fine in a crowded place) to "I came out alone". My answers didn't seem to matter. Even with the latter answer I've had women invite me to join there little group (I was shocked).
