Investing/Money-making?
So, I'm new to this site, and I'm starting to learn about everything. I am 17, a senior in HS and about to go off to college. I was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips that I could use to start investing and such. I have a part-time job at a fast food restaurant and earn minimum wage. Besides gas money and saving for college, I don't spend my money at all. Thanks for the help!

I'm not too sure about bonds and stock etc, but I would recommend investing in yourself. Things like gym, qualifications that sorta stuff. The more you have when your young, the more you can have when your older. I'm 18 and this is pretty much what I'm doing. Only thing i've 'splashed' out on is a lads holiday to Zante, the rest I've put back into myself in terms of NLP qualifications, books, webinars, just constant learning.

Invest in no-load index fund that track the entire market.

Also you gold and silver. More volatile for sure, but they will never be worth zero.

Investing in a forex trading company can be an interesting option you could consider. I use it to fund my travels and usually make 3-5% monthly.

if you want to work on investing you should start reading some finance books. Buy used old books or borrow them from libraries, once you get your head around time value of money, bonds, and basic stock valuations; get a online brokerage account and put 500-1000$ and play around. That will give you some experience when you have real money to invest. Hell you don't even need money just play with virtual portfolios online and do some research instead of buying random stocks.
