Anyone else been to the rooftop of the Gansvoort on Park lately? I stopped by this weekend and the ratio was whack and it looked like it was full of people who wouldn't be able to get into the one on 13th.

A couple comments from someone on the UWS.

Summer in NYC is a great time. One of my fav daygame spots is Hudson Boat Basin up on 96th. I find it a very chill spot where it is easy to mingle groups (especially if you sit in the big circle). It gives me that outdoor feel of Frying Pan without the madness.

Stone Rose @ Columbus Circle. Enjoyable lounge with lots of talent especially before/after events at Lincoln center or dizzys. Good Friday and sat nights

Lincoln Center on performance nights (especially the outdoor free events) is a gold mine of women who fancy themselves sophisticated.

They recently opened up a Century 21 up here (like a Marshalls or tjmaxx on crack) full of fly chicks shopping not to mention the employees (if you are into black or Latin chicks) that has lots if potential. Can't comment personally as its in my building so I don't game there but worth a look.

@anyone who is looking for furnished lodging and has the $$$ to burn I highly recommend the Phillips Club. Not far at all from West Village/Chelsea by train and a bit out of the bustle of say SoHo which I like to visit but I wouldn't live in

Edit - I meant to comment on Dorians which rookie mentioned. It is ultra heavy prepster (i get asked where I went to high school by people there as a first question and I'm 27) and its a crowd full of the type of Ivy/Expensive College people which makes it easier/harder to score depending on your background.

Really? I've never had trouble at places like this. It's really easy to escalate during games of pool and ping pong, which is why I like them. I'm not too great at pool and I'm decent in ping pong, so it's not like you need to be a world champ at either to get going.

Is the standard beer garden the one with that weird restaurant/cafe attached to it? If so I went there last year and kept thinking the talent was very very good. Then ended up at some bar that way high atop, had a jacuzzi in the middle of a dance floor and was connected to the boom boom room which I couldn't get into. Can't wait to go back to NYC, I leave in 8 days and am renting an apt in the City for 10 days.

That's beer pong. Ping Pong is table tennis.

Beer pong is great if you're in the high school-late 20's age bracket. To me it brings back images of banging 18 year old girls and 3:1 ratio (girls:guys) frat parties.

I'm still under 30, but older than most undergrads and some grad students. Going back to college and befriending frat brothers later in life was one of the best decisions I've made when it comes to banging college chicks. It's just so easy. Grab a hot chick, play beer bong with her, escalate, bring her into your (unoccupied) buddy's room in the frat house, bang her on his bed. Most guys in frats have no game. They get drunk and sometimes hook up with other drunk girls. So when I come in, choose the hottest girl at the party and escalate fast, they're in awe so they let me do whatever I want whenever I want.

Although it would be weird to go to one of those parties suited up, designer jeans, a nice shirt, and some dress shoes would def help you stand out without making you look out of place.

Yeah, I got the difference.

Growing up, we didn't play beer pong. Or any gay drinking games. We just smoked, drank and did drugs. And swooped.

Either way, Ping Pong doesn't exactly conjure up images in my head of 2:1 girls to guys, high heels, models, high end partying either.





Like I said earlier; red flag.

But what do I know?

They usually happen on Thursdays, but in the summer they tend to spill over to other days as well (this week there's a bunch of openings on Tuesday and Wednesday for example). You can def find chicks like that in the city. Where my sister lives at there are rooftop pools in some buildings.

The Hudson boat basin is actually on 79 th. it is good to go with friends. I don't prefer to go there solo. I was there recently and it seemed to be a young crowd(early 20s).

It you want to hit some good places on the Westside and you ate cool with rolling solo. Check out the empire hotel on 63 between Columbus and broadway. There isn't a cover and usually can get in without being on a list or bottle service. You might have to edit inine a bit. A lot of foreign women and tourists go there. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and all good nights. I think Thursday is best

Hudson terrace is another good place on 46 between 11 ave and west side highway. Dudes usually need bottle service ti get in Friday and Saturday night. Thursday night u should be ok. This is also a rooftop bar. If you like hot young woman then this is your place. Girls tend to be in their early to mid 20s Don't go on wed night as it is gay night

I don't know of a single place that is better today than it was 5 years ago. I’ve seen places go bad in a couple of years. You have money flooding in through Internet Dating. Girls can get real lazy and loose interest in dating Western guys, when all they have to do is sit on their ass on the computer and receive money from desperate Beta guys in the in West, Middle East, or India.

There is one kind of rare exception. A town can become a boom town then die. Atlanta became a boom town after the 1996 Olympics. It doubled in size in like 6 years. I moved here after that and girls were super friendly because they needed friends. Life was great. Atlanta is no longer growing and in fact maybe it is even losing a few people. It no longer has that vibrant feel it had a decade earlier!

As somebody who's lived all over the country (with heavy emphasis on the west coast) but just moved to NYC a few weeks ago, I can't compare the city to how it was in the past but I can say that compared to everywhere else in the USA there's no place else where it's so easy to open girls. My work hours have been brutal so I haven't been doing so much nightlife, but during the day, doing errands, on the subway, etc I've struck up lots of conversations with all different sorts of cute, friendly chicks. Also just in general I've noticed that girls eye-fuck like crazy here, and will give a smile fairly often too. It's hard to describe but something about this city just oozes sex.

Hell, today I was just going about my business plus did one touristy thing, and I had a hot Spanish chica who opened me on the street (wanted to know what I was eating, we chatted for a bit), met some Brazillian girl in a sundress on the subway, talked to these two fly ballet dancer 18 year olds in line at the grocery store, and another recent Cali transplant who sat next to me in a coffee shop. I'm in a LTR at the moment so I'm not even actively trying to game, but at least two of those girls would have been solid numbers and first dates.

As I said I can't really talk about the nightlife yet, but my experience in the daytime has been that it's more of a pussyfest than a cockfest.
