I've never really gamed in NYC, but I get the sense that the extreme density and variety of the city has led to 'Latin' style inequality in the player game. In the Latin South American countries, the rich are filthy rich, and most of the rest are dirt poor, or so it was.

In top tier American cities, you have an extreme variety of guys - when it comes to looks, niche, personality, connections, STATUS, money. Girls aren't looking for husbands or even commitment - there's no reason they can't fuck above their pay grade. In a city like NYC, they can meet dozens of Mr. Bigs daily, if they choose. To make a girl want to fuck you, she has to feel like you are her #1 option at that moment. In a shark tank with an even to bad ratio, without a niche that brings girls to YOU, even a solid player has to hustle to get laid.

I've always thought that the primary benefit of social circles and decent niches is that the girl comes in assuming you are equal value - and if you show some charm, then you're in high value territory. With a cold approach, great style and game often just puts you in that equal value territory - all that good stuff just got you to the starting line.

I'm in LA where something similar happens, though here it's probably moderated a bit by traffic and geographic sprawl.

I'm suprised at some of the complaints raised here. NYC is one of the most competitive city's on the globe with some of the toughest hours and most successful people. It's impossible for this to NOT reflect on its dating game.

NYC is an awesome place to get laid. Period. You must be hitting crappy east village dive bars if you think its a cockfest. On thurs/fri/sat there is a treasure trove of sluts in cocktail dresses that flood manhattan. Add to that its possibly the best daygame city in the world, and if its not the best city for online game, it has to be top 5.

Yes the girls get approached more often at NIGHT in NYC, but if you approach in day game you still stand out as having balls and get less of a bitch shield.

You have a city full of hot feminine girls with great fashion, thin because they walk everywhere. Hot european tourists and au pairs who can be lied to, a couple decent colleges. Girls drink and its logistical heaven. If you are complaining about anything here, it should be cost, NOT GAME.

A great city for an alpha to run the table, or for a beginner to run a ton of approaches on girls he will never see again and really develop his game.

If you can't get laid in NYC it is you that sucks, not the city.

The thing you need to keep in NYC is that the quantity ruins it- if you're average. There is a huge number of guys that are fat, short, boring, poorly dressed, have no game, or some combination thereof. All these guys flood the bars on the weekend. There is no shortage of them- girls perspective- they're dime a dozen.

If you're asthetic (looks, build, height, clothing), interesting, or finanically successful then you can still clean up. If you're average and forgettable- its much harder. Better hit up the drunk chicks and hope to get lucky.

The fundamentals apply just as much to NYC as anywhere else. If anything, your odds of getting a good looking girl, if you have something going for you, are actually BETTER in NYC because the obesity rate of the young women is significantly lower then the rest of the nation.

Its true that there is more competant male competition- and a significant amount you can't compete with (movie stars, finance billionares, fashion mogals, models etc)- but there are so many girls that the odds you have to compete directly with one of them is rather low; espically if you go for the abundant 7-8s instead of 9s/10s. If it does come to that- well you win some, you lose some. Pleanty more pussy in the litter box.

This is exactly on point. If you can't find a niche in the most promiscuous and largest city in the USA you have problems. Every extremely large metropolis has so many places to go to you better fit in at one? If not you have no life.

Cost is the biggest bitch hands down. Logistics? Everything is a cab ride away. You have $10 and a 5 minute nasty make out session in the cab and you're good to go. I have found that most people who hate NYC fall into 2 categories.

1. Don't live in manhattan making logistics a shit show.
2. Try to go after the 9+'s in meat packing/try to compete with rich guys with game... No chance

This is the only place in America where you can party monday through Sunday. Another bump, what other US city can I go out on a Tuesday and see people hammered / partying like its a Saturday in a place like Austin Texas? You now have 7 days of day and night game...

Your worst game here is numbers game... It's a 3:1 ratio. I would move today if a better paying job came up. No brainer.

If you are a black dude with your shit together, NY is a gold mine for poon. The only issue really is quality 7,8,9s tuff, but 5,6-7s all day.

Shit together=

phyically fit- muscles
well dressed: no sagging pants and sideways baseball caps
no approach anxiety or little approach anxiety
moderate game (good game not necesary)
some disposable income - enough to go out and buy drinks
place to close the deal

Seriously, I cannot fathom how one doesn't get laid in this city. Dress well, open your mouth, and you will find someone that likes you. The great thing about NYC is that you can be who you want to be and you will find girls who are attracted to the lifestyle you live. Stop reading, over thinking and over analyzing. Find what works, where it works and just go for it.

I am a pretty normal dude, with a rather unspectacular job in the scheme of it, and I'm a 5 at best in looks, yet I'm uncompromising in my interests and perspectives on life, with no interest in conforming into society's idealization, and I do quite well for myself here. Best of all, the girls who do like me, like me for the actual person I am, not some sort of crony fabrication of me. It allows me to actually enjoy my female company rather than play some rat race, must get laid at all costs game.

Dig deep, find what interests you, find women who enjoy that same activity and game away. Within your niche you will likely be a better option than 99% of the guys that girl is meeting. People talk about how money and looks get the girls in NYC. Bullshit, you're just trying to game the wrong set of girls if you keep failing with suit chasers. There are so many cute girls here that it's just a matter recalibrating your venue for success.

a. Many good looking girls are effectively paid to go to good clubs (could be trade for housing, etc) -- go to a bottle service club and watch the "models" show up and then vanish just as quickly

If you account for those three things, there is not much left that you are even competing for. This is not the best place to meet the "9s."

One thing NYC has going for it: the best place in the US to LEARN GAME, if you are particularly motivated. A challenging social environment with an endless supply of chicks, night game every night, and great day game opportunities.

Compared to LA it must be much better. The public transportation opportunities alone put it ahead of it, along with the density and better nightlife options.

I think people just pick shitty venues. Strait up. All this talk of NYC being a deathbed is nonsense there is probably no better place to find the amount of opportunities to game with great ratios on your side (more females than males in NYC in that all important 18-35 bracket). If your not stumbling over women at evrey corner and not at least getting solid approaches in your stuck in a hole or are beyond help. Who the hell still goes to mainstream clubs? I really feel this is dudes just being lazy and not wanting to broaden their appeal. This was the same shit i notices in DC also. The mainstream venues we're complete shit while smaller lounges and dives we're packed full of approachable women (ratios still had more men in the bars but fuck em').

IMO the last place I am going to pick up broads is a mainstream club. I didn't even hit the meatpacking area last time I was there simply because I herd so many mixed reviews about it I knew what I was going to expect.

NYC is top 5 for having the sheer amount of opportunities to approach. From day game to night game your literally running into women evrey hour of the day.

I live, work, and the play in the village and downtown. If you don't know where to go just apply roosh's newly minted post on trailing the pussy. For downtown literally 7 days a week. I live here in NYC, too. This is all true. I've moved around quite a bit, lived all over the U.S. and in Western Europe. This is the best city in the world in my opinion. You have easy access to a large number of nationalities and ethnicities. You can make some serious coin getting involved, at a very high level, in basically any industry you might want. You can try out your hipster game in Billyburg, throw on your pointy toed shoes and hit the meatpacking district, try out your tourist game in Times Square on some chubby but impressionable chicks from Iowa, the works man. What the hell are you looking for if you can't find it here?! And the points above about logistics are spot on: I haven't had logistics this good since college.

For the record, ,I never claimed NYC is Buenos Aires nor am I a game denier. What I am saying is that slaying top shelf punani(8's,9's,10's and even sometimes 7's) in NYC CONSISTENTLY isn't trivial. I'm planning to hit New York later this year for a couple of months probably Sept/Oct. Any tips on short term accommodation and areas to live? I'm looking to spend up to $2500 a month although I would go higher if I have to but at the end of the day I know I won't get anything impressive unless I spend a tonne of money and the pad is just to rest up and bring the girls back. Also I don't mind sharing.

airbnb will likely be too expensive unless you're in Brooklyn. Do you have someone on the ground here who would be willing to check places out for you before you arrive? I'd say your best bet would be to get somewhere around the East Village or in the Lower East Side. The further west you go the more the price ticks up and vice versa. I would hit craigslist hard as you'll have the chance to catch somebody who's going out of town for a few months and needs a sublet. Once it gets closer to your search and dates feel free to shoot me a few links...a lot of times I can tell you the building just from seeing a few photos.
