RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious
Just quit porn once again.
Too addicted to porn. I am too often distracted by porn. It has to come to and end.
1 day without porn now!
I won't stop jerjing off though. The sperm needs refreshment once in a while. Old sperm is unhelthy sperm.

Giving up porn definitely has great benefits. I love walking down my campus strip or through the hallways on a busy day and finding that I am attracted to many women, not just the obvious 8's and 9's. Also, I feel I have more sexual energy when communicating with women, either through eye contact or voice tonality.
Definitely keep the jerking to a minimum, once-twice a week maximum.

What are the main benefits of giving up jerking?
I am not a PUA. So - being better at that doesn't really bother me.
I don't think it is necessary to give up jerking, only to maintain control over it. Essentially, the less you jerk the more of a drive you have to meet women, and the more sexual energy you have. I wrote my conclusions on the whole noFap thing a page back, after abstaining for 83 days. Basically I concluded that the real issue is the porn, which should be given up.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious
Bump.
I finally decided to stop jerking it and more importantly stop watching porn since many days I've been lacking motivation to do tons of approaches since moving. Porn became a routine or a release if I ever got stressed. Before I had 2-3 FBs at any given time so i didn't jerk it tons and relied on that pussy. But damn, even in these past 4 days I've gotten tons more energy and lust for life (let alone girls). I went out today for the first time in a week to approach. Didn't see any approachable girls, but conversation still flowed freely with anyone I talked to (I talked to cashiers + hairdressers. I saw one cutie, but when I went up to her she was 7+ months preg).
Right now I feel like Bradley Cooper in Limitless. Only con is that as soon as my mind drifts to busting a nut in one of my old FBs I get a raging hardon.
Theres always the standard advice given out when you enter this part of the internet: eat unprocessed foods (and carbs in relation to how much you lift), lift heavy, do some kind of conditioning, look your best, don't jerk it etc. Fuck I feel great. This is the first time I've really gone for a significant period of time following those pieces of advices to the T. Before I would lift heavy, but I'd slack on conditioning or my diet. I'd go to class many days not looking my best.
I really understand now how "testosterone" or "sex-drive" is the fuel for being a man. Once it builds up you have the drive and motivation to conquer and do what you want. If you keep it at a low level via sex with the same girls, jerking off, eating poorly/not lifting etc, you will just be soft and lazy.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious
Hey gents, I'm now on 285 days.
I posted a Vlog on youtube on day 252, about my experience and why I'm doing this. If anyone is interested I'll post it here. I'm sure you guys will dissect it in terms of body language and vocal cues
It's garnered some attention, I've had someone approach me to be featured on their documentary on porn use in society, and Gary Wilson himself from YBOP.com has emailed me asking if I'd like to be on his radio show.
I still haven't had a release beyond nocturnal emissions, by the way.

On another note, I am going out tomorrow night to a town popular for it's cheap sloots and volume of said sloots. I'm not expecting to get laid or anything, I'm more curious as to how much my anxiety with random women has changed. My body language, ability to maintain eye contact and ability to not give a shit have improved immensely since I last went out properly (A long time ago).

I'd like to see it.
But even more so I would like to hear about how this has affected you.
So you have gone 285 days of no ejaculating whatsoever (other than night emissions)? Ie. no sex, no masturbation without porn, no blow jobs, etc...
I heard that you loose your sexual drive by doing this. Any truth to this? Maybe this warrants a report.

Just want to chuck this out there. It could be read to suggest the more fapping the better...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coolidge_effect
----------------------------------
Ethologist Frank A. Beach is credited with naming the "Coolidge effect" in 1955, after one of his students suggested the term at a psychology conference.[5] He attributed the neologism to:[5]
… an old joke about Calvin Coolidge when he was President … The President and Mrs. Coolidge were being shown [separately] around an experimental government farm. When [Mrs. Coolidge] came to the chicken yard she noticed that a rooster was mating very frequently. She asked the attendant how often that happened and was told, "Dozens of times each day." Mrs. Coolidge said, "Tell that to the President when he comes by." Upon being told, President asked, "Same hen every time?" The reply was, "Oh, no, Mr. President, a different hen every time." President: "Tell that to Mrs. Coolidge."

1. The Coolidge-effect is more of a psychological response, it doesn't necessarily mean it's good for you to have multiple partners, at least on a physiological level anyway.
2. It's referring to new sexual partners, so it's not pro-masturbation per se. It's just pro-polygamy.
3. The Coolidge effect is responsible for both pornographies popularity and failure in marriages/LTR's, as it means on a sexual level we react more to novelty than the same shit every time. For those looking for a meaningful relationship, dissociating themselves from the Coolidge effect is paramount. I even went to a tantra course before, so I understand the benefits of NOT CUMMING. But no fap, while still allowing yourself to cum through normal sex seems to defeat the purpose.
Is the whole point not to build up your sexual energy so you have more bounce in your step? If so, that means cumming through regular sex and night emissions makes this whole no fap thing useless.
I can safely say you're quite mis-informed about Nofap. It's not just about seminal retention, in fact it's not really about seminal retention at all, those are for the hardcore folks who think's SR actually makes a difference.

Well anyone who is doing it with the intention of gaining more vitality and energy then SR would be the main focus would it not?
