Girls are allergic to spending their own money. We all know this.

A few of the guys--including myself--have been exchanging stories, on another thread, about how seemingly normal girls, to paraphrase Mechanico, are quick to ask for stuff and expect things for free from us, but clam up when it comes to spending their own loot. Girls go so far as to ask for straight-up cash or tell you that "the guy should pay" with a straight face. The hotter the girl, the more likely it is that she rarely pays for anything.

I'm not even talking about gold-diggers. These are run-of-the-mill, basic bitches.

My one friend when he was 20, dated a girl for 3 months. He took her out to movies and dinner dates, paid for all of it. He also introduced her to his family and friends.

For those three months that he was dating her, he never had sex with her. She said that she was "very religious" and is not "that kind of girl".

But thankfully, my friend is somewhat of a natural, and was able to find a girl who actually puts out shortly after he got dumped.

Here's a story about the kind of shit one puts up with in DC. I met a girl out on U st. Could have possibly gotten the snl, but she had some friend that ended up staying with her. She asked for my number when we parted. Talked to her afterwards. We made tentative plans, but she flaked. I threw one last text at her and then deleted the number. A couple of weeks later she texts me on a Monday night and asks what I'm doing. We decide to go get a drink (note that this is the language I use. I never ask a girl "on a date" or "out to dinner." It's always "get a drink" or "hang out.")

We meet up at a bar and she immediately starts talking about going somewhere for food. I told her that I'm good, I had already eaten. We sit down for drinks and she picks up the food menu and starts hinting about how she's hungry. The she tells me that she only has so much cash and lost her ATM card. I don't react to any of it. Then it comes out that she did lose her card, but she's already got the new one in her wallet. She points out that it hasn't been activated yet. I ask the obvious question, "why don't you call and activate it?" Her answer was that her phone battery was dying.

Her first topic of conversation after all that was about how she's worried because her therapist is leaving town for three weeks and she's not sure that she'll make it. She also started talking about her current fuck buddy and how there's plenty of guys willing to take her out and pay for her meals and drinks. It's one thing to try and work a dude for a free dinner, but at least try to be charming about it. I don't hate the game, but this bitch wasn't even playing the game. She was basically of the opinion that all she had to do was show up and I'd be willing to throw open my wallet for her.

It gets even weirder. We leave and I'm ready to just cut my losses and go home; then she says to me, "so, you going to walk me home?" I walked her home. We get to her porch. I kiss her. And then she says to me. "oh. I wasn't expecting that." It was really one of these, "who does this bitch think I am moments?!" There's a chance that I could have gotten myself inside and pushed for the bang, but at that point I was just really sick of this broad, so I peaced out and called it a night. One of the rare moments when my big head won a battle over the little head.

I admire your patience. I might have walked after hearing her say THAT shit. The lack of subtlety was truly insulting. I can understand why you didn't try to fuck her. She works for a living. Let her feed herself!

I was makin moves on a 6.5 who was in my drama class and this bitch would buy a coffee at DnD and look at me when she had to pay with that puppy face. I mean I know I suggested it but doesn't mean you pull that shit at the cash register. Then I realized how much of a pussy I had been around her. When I saw her around school interacting with other guys I realized I was the least beta dude she had ever met. So, I gave a her verbal abuse until I cut off ties indefinitely. Some bitches in the states just need to be put in their place.

My mother was a gold-digger. As a result, and despite the 100's of mistakes I've made with women, I've never spent money on them. I know all too well how women perceive their value when you spend money on them.

As soon as she gets you to open your wallet, you will forever be her ATM. Never spend cash on her that you would be uncomfortable spending on yourself.

I'm running into this right now, though I hadn't really before. I hit the first night, with absolutely zero resistance, great fuck. But she's pushing me to take her on dates at nice places. She flaked a couple times, though still shows strong interest - not the only thing on my plate right now of course. I told her she had to treat me, because of that, and she was just like, "no." She's a prom queen type, very very girly, and probably makes twice as much money as I do.

Thing is, at least in my case, this chick is going to get wined and dined one way or another, with her friends and so on. It's not going to be that special if I do it anyhow, so not going on these dates won't hurt my value. Going on dinner dates with a girl who already eats out a lot is not going to score you points.

I'm going to try going on quirky, off-beat dates that don't involve dinner in a restaurant. More memorable, more intimate, more fun, less paper.

You can also find out something she really likes, like those artisanal cupcakes, a cute cheese shop, etc. Something out of the ordinary like that is cheaper and builds more rapport, because "ohmygod, he's so thoughtful!" Whatever you do, own it - "Yo, there's this awesome dive bar near my house, it's the shittiest place you've ever seen, full of these old salty alcoholics who hit on anything with a pulse. We're going, it's gonna be sick." It's not a compromise, it's an adventure.

I'd also recommend checking the site How About We for date ideas - it's a dating site where people post date ideas, so there's lots of interesting ideas there tailored to your location.

Then we have"Docking miscalculation" This is where you dock the boat just far enough away that you can't make it off the boat if you are carrying anything after 2 drinks. That's when the fun starts.

I just took $550 off a girl for a deposit to fix her car. Do I need a deposit? No. It was for my personal enjoyment. She's so mad she couldn't even bring it to me herself. Have anyone of you ever tried this. After the 3rd or 4th date of which you have paid, tell her at the end, next time your planning the date. I'll just show up and look pretty. This way you can see how much effort goes into planning these things. If she follow's through your set. If she never calls back than you know whats up

You already know whats up so why bother? I don't ask for money on dates. If I went out with one of you guys I wouldn't ask either. I get pissed when it becomes disrespectful.

I met these twins in Greece once and they were so cheap I had to ditch them. They wanted to spend all day on a bus to save $5.25 I told them we would catch up another day. The one sister was there for 3 weeks and when she got home her other sister said that the whole time in Greece she spent 30 dollars. After watching them I'm surprised she spent that much.

I got to wondering if he ran “declined card” game on purpose. After the massive social faux-pas of showing up on a date with $0, he knows that any girl who makes it to date two wants to get banged and doesn’t care about his (in)ability to pay. His cost per notch must be admirable. I may have to steal this technique if I ever get in dire straits, but instead of a date two I’ll just try to drag the girl back to my refrigerator box.

I have an old credit card in my wallet that is on a closed account. I used it by accident once and it was declined. Not a problem. I always carry a few bills and other cards. I may have to use this next time a girl is being a bitch when she's out with me.
