I don't know if they have it on the android marketplace, but I've found video safe and "mysecretfolder" app to be invaluable tools on my iPhone. Let's you keep pics of the girls you poke behind a secret calculator facade that only opens up when you punch in the correct password. Also takes pics of the people who enter an incorrect password so you can tell who's trying to creep up on your phone.

Waze - navigation app that I find superior to Google Maps. Tells you which route to take based on current traffic patterns, and what users are reporting in. Also reports red light cameras, accidents, and I believe DUI stops.

Yeah, I made a thread about that, but AirBnB hasn't tried to implement it. It wouldn't be hard to do - rig the front door with keypad entry connected to the internet. Would be perfect for macking in neighborhoods across town, where a bed nearby is essential to getting the lay.

AirBnB would also be an awesome replacement for Craigslist, for permanent housing, but they haven't tried.

A pretty fascinating one for the "traveling" part is WordLens (http://www.questvisual.com) -- real-time augmented reality translator. Point it at a sign and in real time it replaces the words with english (or the reverse). It's far from perfect, evidently takes a lot of phone horsepower, and works much better with small snippets of text, but when it works it's one of those "hey, the future has arrived" things.

The demo doesn't do much (either erases text or replaces it with the same words spelled backwards) and I'm not sure how actually USEFUL it would be ahead of the translate feature of Google Goggles, for example... but it's damn cool (and self-contained so doesn't need a connection, AND one of those apps that people love to take the phone out of your hands and point at different things to see what it does, so not bad for starting conversations). I only have the Spanish pack, but I've enjoyed both recreationally using it and showing it to people.

this isn't a forum for that kinda talk but there is an easy to find back for android gives you fill access to word lens.

skout is pretty useless. it seems like most people accidentally stumble upon it. i wouldn't be surprised if a lot of accounts are fake.

i will say i pulled one chick of it. got a date but no bang.
she highly mis represented her self..she looks like a giggly pear with fat cheeks in person.

if it were reliable it could turn into a good insta date tool. but it simply doesn't have the numbers.

maybe it's better in a giant city. but you would still be spamming messages..just on your cell phone

Just downloaded Evernote and a few others recommended. EXACTLY what I've been looking for. Thanks gents!

Pixir Express- Not impressed.

PicsArt- Better than the aforementioned.

Picasso- Fun little drawing app. You can upload a girls pic and do a Capt Morgan. Tried it and got good response. Followed up with the beta I (heart) U. Blah Blah Blah.

Countries of the World- Decent general knowledge base. From experience, it's good to know useless facts about a country for conversation.

World Factbook- Similiar to above but without the quiz.

World Atlas- Basically the same as the above two, but I think it basically just uses the internet to bring up data from other websites. Makes searching quick though, and even gives current Olympic medal counts. I'm a sucker for useless information, but the more you know, the more girls like it. Trust me.

History Eraser- Working great for the tablet. Not something I'd need on my phone.

Badoo- Good for a quick check on messages. I fucking hate online game in the U.S. Easy app to use though for quick messaging, bishes nearby, who's online, ect.

Advantage Blackjack- Decent for learning the basics.

Real Blackjack- Same as above.

Language apps- There are shitloads. Always good to have English ones installed to "teach" girls. Busuu is good. Spanish Verbs has helped me immensely.

I move to a new city in the US every few days.

As such, its important for me to be able to quickly and easily figure out where to go. I don't have long to figure out where the magic spot is.

So with that said, i use google maps and urban spoon a lot to locate good hunting grounds.

Downloaded Bards Tale and Sketchbook Pro for the tablet, and paper camera for the phone. The latter I will use for pickup.

Bought a cool stylus pen for the drawing app. I like to doodle, and will try it on screen. All these were paid apps, but cheap.

Paid apps I recommend and personally use:
Poweramp - well worth the $5 or something - best audio player on Android
Dropbox and Dropsync (unaffiliated app) - Dropsync will actually batch download files from your online Dropbox and keep them synced back and forth (Dropbox only downloads files on demand and not entire folders at a time). One-way sync, two-way sync, for single folders or the entire Dropbox. Well worth the $5ish purchase
Solid Explorer - a well-designed file manager, more functional than the stock one, well worth the $5ish. Constantly being updated, I think now has Dropbox support as well?
Juice Defender - Manages your radios, brightness, can set up times of day for increased / decreased connectivity, etc. Splurge for the top package to get endless customization that'll help you get much more use out of your battery(especially for pre-4.0 Android versions). I think it's $10, tops? Other apps for the same purpose are subpar.

Free apps:
Nobody's mentioned Bloomberg yet. High quality, FREE daily business, investment, world news (from a financial angle) from the #1 financial platform. Customizable by interest area.

Hide it Pro - to hide pictures, videos and files. Note: THEY ARE STILL ACCESSIBLE FROM A COMPUTER if plugged in, but won't be visible to snooping on the phone. App is camouflaged as a functional audio manager and requires a PIN.
Any.Do - clean-looking productivity / task manager if you need reminders
Pomodroido - the most streamlined pomodoro timer I have found
Duolingo - practice French, Spanish, Portuguese on the go
Financial calculator (by NRS Magic LTD) - time value of money, etc. Replaces a standalone financial calculator. I used this app to catch a car dealership trying to screw me out of $300+ via a little math error.
Google Maps - on WiFi you can save maps up to ~30x30 miles in size - bam, instant loading!
GPS Status - appears to improve my GPS acquisition speed on my phone with weak GPS radio when you download the supplementary files from this app
Chrome - best browser IMO, can sync with your desktop.
Pandora - stream music on WiFi. Don't stream on 3G/4G without unlimited data plan.
Netflix if you have a subscription and want it
Evernote- to clip and gather ideas, links, etc.
Economist - two hours a week to read my subscription and find out everything that's gone on in the world. I think five articles per week are free
Skype - calls.

Don't overlook Skype Wifi. Its a separate skype app that lets you use skype credit to buy wifi credit for short periods of time. GREAT for airport layovers in any country (I've used it in several countries) where you have to pay a minimum of $10 or whatever to access internet. They have partnerships with these companies and you pay a pre-set amount for access like 20 cents a minute. Not just airports, other points too but I really haven't used it in other areas since if you're mobile in a city, free wifi points are a little easier to find.

works on phone, ipad and even on a macbook.
