RE: What's Your Myers-Briggs Personality?
Nomadbrah on page 15 had some good tips for fellow ENTPs, and there's lots of good materials sprinkled throughout the thread. I would add the following:

- Don't try to hide the fact that you're smart and quick on your feet; own your personality by being the outgoing and intellectually aggressive man that you are. You can own the room if you want to.
- Establish a connection by making an effort to listen to what girls communicate to you (verbally and non-verbally) and rambling about things that interest them, adjusting on the fly if necessary to get them hooked and feeling the vibe. You should be smart enough to figure out things that girls like.
- Remember to escalate, and do it gradually so it feels natural. Do not overthink things, just go with the flow.

I find that my biggest issues are that I psych myself out of approaching by overthinking my opener, and sometimes get so caught up in conversation that I forget to start escalating. The middle and end parts are easy.

They should introduce one called SWPL, that would be a lot easier than having 16 how they currently do.

RE: What's Your Myers-Briggs Personality?
This thread was fun so I'll revive it.

I was recently bored so I decided to revisit the MBTI types and explore them further. After getting the gist of how the functions work, I realized my original classification by an online survey was a bit off. Furthermore, I realized that I wasn't answering questions based on my true nature but rather the personality that I have attempted to craft through years of work and self-improvement.

I'm now quite confident I'm an ISTP and it makes sense. I really recommend people to simply read about the cognitive functions and attempt to type themselves.

It's not too hard to do once you understand how it works. The functions are broken down into two "groups": The perceiving group (iNtuition and Sensing) and the judging group (Thinking and Feeling).

The first letter of the type codes is simply a declaration of whether you are introverted or extroverted. You should know this about yourself, but if you'd rather spend time with a small number of good friends than at a huge party meeting a bunch of new people, you're introverted.

The second letter represents your "dominant" function. This will either be (S)ensing or i(N)tuition. You are likely an S if you deal more with the real, facts and figures, and learning as much as you can about how things (real objects or institutions) work. You are likely an N if you are more interested in the abstract, the theory, philosophy/literature/art, and have a broad, unique, and imaginative vision.

The third letter is your secondary function. This will be either (T)hinking or (F)eeling. You are likely a T ifyou make decisions based on objective facts, logic, reasoning, and generally lack a range of emotions. You are likely an F if you are more concerned with social cohesion, tact, "heart", and subjective reasoning.

The final letter is whether you consider yourself a (P)erceiver or a (J)udger. You are likely a P if you are "cool", casual, work in bursts of energy, mix work with play, and dislike strict schedules. You are likely a J if you are task oriented, defer play until completing work, adhere to personal schedules, and/or make to-do lists.

Pretty easy stuff.

INFP here. I tend to internalize values and experiences, then use them to think/talk about stuff in the abstract. Having things placed before me for my immediate evaluation is overwhelming. I imagine this type tends to be heavily leftist.

Nah, that's reserved for us INTJs!

Jokes aside, I've read that when it comes to sociopath movie villains, ENTJ and INTJ types are over-represented.

Myers-Briggs is fascinating! I'm between INFP and ISTP. Very abstract at times but with a love and need for hands-on experience and creation. Philosopher, therapist, sculptor, adrenaline junkie.

Huh, I'm just another common, garden-variety ISTJ. But then so is Sting, so that's kind of cool.

ESTJ, for some reason. Go figure.
But I find myself mostly as ESFP or INFJ

Always get INTP on these tests. Apparently it's supposed to very rare.

I know the descriptions for the types are all truisms but it describes me to a T.
