I'm seeing a skyrocketing number of girls moving over to Happn.

The refresh takes 3x as long as it did before and there are that many more girls.

You heard it hear first - Happn will blow up in the very near future now.

I have a Windows phone, there is no Tinder, but instead an app called Timber. It's Tinder but I'm not sure why it has a different name.

I'm able to manually change my location anytime I like. I recently changed my location to Belgrade, wow! The girls are stunning there. I'll post a selection of their photos when I have more time.

I had a tentative Tinder date setup for tonight with a 31yo 6 at best. We were texting Tues night and I could already smell bad behavior thru some mildly passive aggressive texts on her part. I figured I would just go radio silent and if she reaches out to me I would likely flake. I also deleted my Tinder account last night since I'm going to be moving soon and and am just sick of the online game. About an hour ago I receive this little gem of a text from her:

You perhaps used this phone number before for receiving code.
It is necessary to put new phone number,,,any of your friend... code would be sent by sms his mobile...

I've deleted and remade accounts with the same number and had no issue. I also imagine that if I use your solution, I'd run out of people to go to. I'll try anyway.


Edit: It just won't get the code. Not an issue with the number I think. Oh well.

Really embarrassing stuff. Blatantly ignores some semi-tough questions, and gives the same bs answer to someone who actually had the balls to ask about the new price points (really disappointed in reddit users for not taking him to task on that and instead choosing to ask mostly fluff questions...then again he probably wouldn't have answered the tough ones anyway)

His response to the price points was that they went through testing to figure out the best price point before they arrived at their answer.

You can read the whole thing in the link above but as I said - major fluff. Any critical questions were outright ignored. It's almost as if before the AMA, he specified "Ask me anything...except stuff regarding the new tinder plus pricing points, spam bots, and bugs."

Gave tinder another shot today.

I see marked differences between tinder when it was free 6 weeks ago and today. While I did not pay for the app, here's what I noticed:

1. The talent is noticeably much better. When I hit my swipe limit, I only saw 3 or 4 fatties, and most were 6s, 7s, and a few 8s.
2. However, when I click on each, I noticed that they aren't very active on the app. Last active 3 days ago, 1 week ago, etc.
3. Got only 2 matches.
4. The supposedly popular opening line "You look like trouble" did not work on those 2 matches.
4a. One simply did not respond.
4b. One actually UN-matched me.

Flakiness in matched convos seems to be increasing for me. The talent around here is getting increasingly worse a well. Getting fewer matches too.

I reckon by locking out the mass likers (and the guys with no standards) it might actually reduce the number of matches good looking girls are getting, which can only be a positive thing. Plus I find it's rare I'd actually hit it in a day, it usually takes a solid 20min+ of swiping.

I disagree. I am not a mass swiper by any means. I'm actually quite selective.

I get hit with the like limit almost every day. Some days it's after I swipe right on 50 girls, sometimes it's after I swipe on 30. It just decides randomly how many girls I'm allowed to swipe right on for that given day.

As well, it would be a...tolerable thing, if it were only men who were getting limited. But it's both sexes.

I guarantee the biggest reason most men here are getting shit returns is because girls are even pickier now because they don't want to hit the limit.

All in all, you have both parties swiping right significantly less, choosing instead to save their swipes for the people they really like. Less matches = people getting frustrated at said less matches = start using tinder less = even less matches.

It's a downward spiral. I went from getting 5-6 a day, to 1 match every two to three days.

Same here, I usually swipe once a day and always hit the limit after about 20-30 swipes I'd say. I swipe on most girls, not because I am swiping everything but because most girls look good in their first pics and I'm in Poland so high quality usually, I don't check their profile.

On another note, does anyone know what the issue is when you get the 'no more in your current area', I mean when no more girls show up to swipe, it happens to me every day and I just adjust my settings (put it up or down 1km or switch discovery off/on) then of course more girls show up. Does this happen for a reason or its just a bug in the app?

Saving their swipes for people they actually like is a good thing though, in my opinion. It means you're less likely to waste your time chatting with someone who just casually swiped right for you with no real interest.

At 50 swipes a day you should probably be getting 5+ new matches a day back anyway. 5 new girls a day is enough of a time sink, I think. An attractive girl is probably still getting 25+ matches a day, if she gets 50 right swipes.

I think the forecasts of Tinders doom are somewhat premature. It's still been hopping in every city I've used it in in the last few months. I've yet to talk to a good looking girl who's complained about the like limit - possibly because they're already pretty selective.

I've been out of the online dating game for a while and just recently signed up for Blendr, Tinder, and POF. Have done POF and OkCupid in the past but first time trying out blendr and tindr. Not sure if I remember online dating more fondly than it really was good or if things have gone downhill but literally it seems like 80% of the girls I'm seeing are african american women like 300 pounds +.

I'm not too picky in who I swipe, if your height weight proportionate and have a halfway decent face I'll swip like and play the numbers game and just filter when women respond but man its hard finding any halfway decent looking women.

I got a shared profile with my girl so obviously not every women on there is going to be down for a couple so I'm already at a slight disadvantage but having a hard time finding any women my gf finds attractive enough to chat with let alone get together with.


Just curious whether women on these sites have gone downhill or if it's always been like this and I'm just remembering it more fondly.
