RE: What's Your Myers-Briggs Personality?
INTJ or INTP, depending on the test. I need a lot of time on my own, but when I choose to socialize - in one form or the other - I usually enjoy it, assuming of course I don't find the other person or people boring. More often than not I very heavily favor one-on-one socializing with a friend or a girl over small group settings (but still enjoy a good party on occasion).
I also occasionally get a kick out of public speaking (in minor settings) and have a strong urge to take the lead in group projects (not that I've been involved in those for work or school in years), unless someone else clearly seems better qualified for the tasks.
I hate team sports - real life or on TV.

Most of my bangs from my late teens to my mid 30s were ONS (usually drunk) from bars and clubs, and nearly all my usually short relationships began that way.
Mostly non-drunk dating the last two years, and frequently getting very bored with it.

It seems to be an INTP convention. It's good though cause I've learned some things I can actually use to better myself. One thing i'd like to know is how successful INTPs manage to maintain a conversation with a girl when you're gaming her. I quickly become aggressively disinterred in the conversation when I can't steer the conversation into a theoretical plane rather than mundane small talk with a few jokes here and there. I run out of stuff to say cause my mind is filled with theoretical 'intellectual' talk that I consider to be a huge panty dryer, or just simply they won't understand the concepts and words you're using.

MikeS, I also love being 1 on 1 With people. I think that is why my dating game is probably my strongest part of the game while approaching and bantering aren't as strong. May also have to do something with the fact that I was a journalist for a bit.

RE: What's Your Myers-Briggs Personality?
Alright. I took this test for the first time around 4 years ago, and I got INTJ, aka "The Scientist." Other times, though more rarely, I've seen ENTJ, "The Executive." Overall I had the impression that INTJ was STRONG in me for along time.

Just now I took the one posted a few posts ago, which has 68 questions binary questions. I got ISFP, aka "The Artist." Changed one answer, got INFP, aka "The Idealist."

Just for the hell of it, I took this one, which has 72 yes/no questions, so also binary. Got INTP, aka "The Thinker." This test is slightly better because it gives a percentage determining your preferences for each trait.

And finally, I took what I think is the most accurate (free) MBTI type test I've tried, which has sliders to more quantitatively describe your personality. Instead of binary or yes/no answers you're forced into, the sliders let you determine just how strongly, or just how ambivalent, you feel about what they're asking. What'd I get here? ENTP, aka "The Visionary."

So in the span of 4 years and a few different tests in just this past hour, I've managed to be 'typed' as nearly half of the possible different personality types. This possibly says a few things:

1. I have multiple personality disorder and should be admitted to a mental institution immediately.
2. I've changed a whole lot over these years, such that my personality has dramatically shifted in all aspects.
3. The MBTI and your personality type are influenced by a number of confounding factors that introduce variability.

I think it's all three. But the most important factor is that last one. The MBTI is so obviously influenced by: your work environment, your hobbies, the structure of your social interactions, your runny shit this morning, and a little of your hard-wired personality.

I used to think the MBTI was awesome because I really felt it described my INTJ personality accurately. But after taking a few different tests, I realized the language used in a lot of those descriptions can really apply to so many people. I identified with INTJ, ENTJ, INTP, ENTP, INFP, and even ISFP (surprisingly strongly to ISFP) to varying degrees. I realized it's because these pages supposedly analyzing these personalities use wishy-washy feel-good language that can apply to a wide variety of people at different points in their lives. "You're a perfectionist. Your values are very important to you. You care deeply about relationships. You strive to help people. Sometimes you're selfish. You eat and sleep everyday."

The MBTI is a good bit of fun. If you're gonna do one test, do the one with the sliders I mentioned above. It'll give you a percentage reading on each of your traits, so you can see just how strongly you are in one direction or another. For me, it was less than 20% on each of the traits, so the MBTI is really kind of irrelevant to me. Actually, I challenge you to take the three different ones I linked and see if you get all the same results.

The better theme I go with and talk about with pretty much every bitch is the Big Five personality traits, OCEAN. They eat that shit up. OCEAN is an acronym that stands for 5 personality traits a lot of psychologists have deemed "the most basic": openness to experience, conscientiousness, extrovertedness, agreeableness, and neuroticism. These traits are much easier to explain and intuitive than some of the more convoluted MBTI dichotomies, and also more widely accepted by respected psychologists. Intuitive/sensing and judging/perceiving are still damn confusing to me, for example. They're also more fun to talk about because they're much less clumsy. Learn about OCEAN, thank me later.

In short, I'm gonna have to agree with an earlier poster in this thread.

That's the one I took most recently, and the sliders suggested why I alternate between INTJ and INTP. I'm right around the middle on the J-P scale, and similar could be the case for people varying between something as seemingly different as introversion and extroversion (on that particular scale I was around half way off the middle towards introversion, if I recall correctly).

Since starting to learn game I've gotten better at going through the motions of small talk and the upbeat, energetic vibe. I purposely ensure I'm well-rested before dates and pump myself up via music, exercise and / or caffeine, as otherwise I get too in my head and overly logical, causing the date to fall flat.

Ditto for day game. If I'm tired and not in state, approaching feels like pulling teeth.

On the other hand, if I've been in logical mode for a while due to work or studying, hanging out with a regular is a great outlet. I get into total self-amusement mode, start cracking jokes left and right, and going overboard with the PDA - tickling, poking, licking, etc. They consistently call me ridiculous, silly, and crazy.

I just too that test. My result:
[attachment=25644]

On some test I've gotten INTP. I tend to relate more to the descriptions of INTPs. I think I get the J score because I've taken efforts in recent years to be better organized for my own good. So when I see questions such as "your home and workspace is tidy and organized". Yes, it usually is, though I didn't used to be that way when younger, but it's something I developed as it just makes life easier to live in a clean and organized environment.

RE: What's Your Myers-Briggs Personality?
Obviously there are caveats with such tests. The closer you are to the middle of the bell curve for a trait, the less useful it is. Hence people can flip flop on certain things.

Also, one of the traits is not based on the work of Carl Jung but was made up later, which to me gives it less credibility.

Still there's something to it. If you are the logical type and stuck in your head, interacting with women will present more of a problem because 1)they are emotional creatures and 2) it's better not to give them straight answers. How many times in my younger days was I approached or opened by girls who came up to me and asked me a question and I gave a straight up answer ending the conversation right then and there? It sucks to think about, so I won't...haha. Many many blown opportunities in my life. Didn't have a clue. I'm not living in the past though...it's gone.

Do not make your type part of your identity or let it define you.

Yeah same here. I can think of many incidents in my life where I was being too straightforward and rational and blew opportunities. It can take us a longer time to get "in state" as some like to call it.

One thing that's good about MBTI is that it helps you understand your strengths and weaknesses. For us introverted thinking types, this is very much a weakness when it comes to women, but it may be a strength in other areas of life such as any occupation where you need strong objective reasoning skills. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being introverted or a thinker. You just need to realize where it's useful in life and where it isn't and try to make adjustments to different scenarios so you are a more well-rounded person. Being aware of MBTI and game has allowed me to see my flaws and take steps to correct things.

I've also resigned to the fact that I'm never going to be as good with women as an ESF type. For them, extroversion, living in the moment and provoking strong emotions in others comes as naturally as reasoning comes to Aristotle. They simply have a genetic advantage. So another positive thing about MBTI is that I no longer beat myself up over inherited personality traits like introversion. I came to realize that there's absolutely nothing wrong with these traits and it's a positive thing to have biological diversity in a population from an evolutionary perspective. Too many men running around with the natural gift of seducing women would probably mean population spikes and Malthusian crashes, as well as lots of fatherless children.

Just did the slider one again, got ESTJ. That makes it 7/16 types so far since I've known about the MBTI.

Can I catch 'em all...?

RE: What's Your Myers-Briggs Personality?
I took the initial one posted by Tuthmosis and got an ISTJ.

Then I took the sliding scale one and received an ESTJ.

I suppose that means the "STJ" part is probably accurate, though it is true that I can swing between introvert and extrovert depending on the situation.

I know I'm an introvert and go out of my way to introduce myself and meet people. Whenever I tell people I consider myself an introvert they never believe me.

A lot of the people we call "naturals" I think are in the ES camp.

I don't think it's a coincidence the Roosh V forum draws a lot of INTP's and INTJ's, just like I imagine RSD draws more ESF types with it's more wild spam approachy style. But I would have to disagree somewhat with the low notch count thesis:

Krauser, who is an INTJ according to his own blog, has a pretty high notch count. One of my friends in the Netherlands, who is heavily steeped in mystery method style game, is an INTP and has a notch count over 20. I myself am an INTP and since I started the Roosh Program in June I've reached 14 notches so far.

That said, I am lucky in the looks department which somewhat compensates for my autistic professor personality (so long as I don't open my mouth). And the notches that I do get are by putting up a facade and acting an entirely different person, avoiding the types of topics I actually like, hiding my silly absurdist humor, pretending to enjoy gossip, tactfully leveraging my SMV and using rational psychological insights to emulate emotionality. Basically everything an INTP is, is not something most women want, and I'd argue it's the least Alpha of the MBTI types.

Women in my country (the Netherlands), like bubbly chatty people - INTP's are repulsed by smalltalk. Women like Alpha judgmentalism - INTP's are "perceivers" and probably the least judgmental of all types. Women like a Stoïc rock with strong set opinions - INTP's are open minded, change their mind all the time and change their personalities to match who they are talking to. And the list goes on.

So in that respect, being an INT type is a tough lot, but it comes with enough intelligence to compensate for it - all you have to do is just be entirely not yourself.

RE: What's Your Myers-Briggs Personality?
As an INTJ/P I actually find that I tend to often prefer smalltalk or - with women - a lot of playful teasing and flirting, when I choose to socialize. Sure, it will bore me within a few hours at the most (quickest with guys as there's no flirting to keep me entertained), but while I spend many hours every day reading or in deep thought, I rarely feel much or any of this is something I have an interest in sharing or trying to discuss with other people (occasional forum posting excluded).
So these days in particular (much smaller and thus less varied social circle than when I was younger) I mostly just take the social situations - with friends, dates or lovers - as an opportunity to take a little break from my usual ordered rational thoughts and theories.

Good insight. That last paragraph in particular. Oftentimes my main reason for going out to socialize is just to take a break from myself. For us MBTI types who live in our heads, we really need an escape from ourselves. It also keeps your social skills from too much atrophy.

ISTJ every time I take the test. I think their descriptions are very limited tho. I find myself an intro-extra hybrid in most situations cuz I love people but social situations drain me and I'm not as close minded and "stick to the book" as it says. I think I'm more flexible and adaptable than the description allows.

I have gotten ISTJ and INTJ. Results really depend on which test you take.

INTJ (T) turbulant.. Im wondering the accuracy of this. It states that this is the rarest type but not from what I can see from the posts here. Perhaps something in line with the type of people that would become a member of Roosh forum. It was pretty spot on with most things for me.

RE: What's Your Myers-Briggs Personality?
Ok. I compiled the data because this thread is quite interesting. I did it quickly so don't expect it to be 100% accurate but whatever,

I have the total number of contributors at this point in time at 146, including myself. I am an ENTJ.

Now on a percentage basis:

INTJ 19%
INTP 18%
ENTP 17%
ENTJ 10%
ISTJ 8%
ENFP 5%
ESTJ 4%
ESTP 4%
INFJ 4%
INFP 4%
ENFJ 3%
ISFJ 2%
ISTP 1%
ESFP 1%
ESFJ 0%
ISFP 0%

Pretty cool.

Yeah I found it interesting that the top 4 types were all NT. They're probably common types on the Internet in general, let alone a forum for something as analytical as game

RE: What's Your Myers-Briggs Personality?
Another ENTJ here... I took the test in person a few years ago which said I was quite decisively that type and I haven't seen the result waiver much since.

The main points that really resonate with me are having a natural propensity and talent for leadership and being very logical/rational. As a few people have said, the logic and rationality is something you need to remain cognizant of when dealing with women since they are operating on a much different frequency. I can definitely pinpoint a few times when it has got in my way, either in interactions with someone I was already sleeping with or a chick I was trying to bang; it's tough trying to make your brain operate on a different level than what it's wired for but at the very least you can get better at pretending. In my experience it actually can sometimes make life easier to go along with the feelings/emotions since now you're not taxed with finding a solution to/reason for something that's not really your problem. Obviously it can be quite frustrating too, but in a lot of conversations you can toss out a few words of sympathy, encouragement, or whatever's appropriate which leaves them feeling like you get it and you're free to go back to pondering the universe, checking out the waitress, etc.

I'm INTJ but like the poster above sometimes come up as INTP. I used to go out at least 4-5 times a week, but since cutting down on my drinking I've been staying in quite a lot. Not going out as much has been great for my health, training, and finances, but is killing me mentally; I think I really need the nightlife to take me out of my own head and get some perspective.

Not surprised to hear that Krauser is an INTJ. I would think Tyler is probably an INTP that has worked to become more extroverted.

My blonde and I were messing around tonight and she had just taken her MB test at her internship and was curious what I was, so I answered honestly and was very surprised at the results. When I took this test 10 years ago, I was INFP. Today it came up ESTJ. There are only two things different about me now from how I was then.

1. I have forced myself to become more extroverted through my business career. You need to be able to show up and talk to people. It's the only way to get paid.

2. I found Roosh and, with certainty, the most wisdom on the planet contained within this forum. The search function has answered all my questions in one way or another. Having put that knowledge into practice is the only way I have been able to contribute anything of value to this community.

They call the ESTJ, "The Executive", which is where I want to be in this world. I'm on my way.

A couple key characteristics explained, briefly, by the slider test result website above that I have woven into the fabric of my life because of this forum include:

* "Anyone Worth Their Salt Sticks Up for What They Believe Is Right."

* "ESTJs don't work alone, and they expect their reliability and work ethic to be reciprocated – people with this personality type meet their promises, and if partners or subordinates jeopardize them through incompetence or laziness, or worse still, dishonesty, they do not hesitate to show their wrath."

I'm sure I need to rep a lot of members for the posts they have made that have improved my life in all aspects. I wish I had paid more attention when I was just a reader of the forum, I could give credit where it is due. But since those posts are buried beneath a mountain of other discussion, I will just say thank you to all the superb contributors that have made my life better.
