Watch Diaz get hit harder by the commission.

I think the funny thing is that the UFC claims that they were only informed after the fight and NAC claims that they got the results back afterwards. I think they are both full of shit and they kept it quiet so that they could rake in the cash.

I agree that they knew the results before the fight, just like they did with Jones, but were not about to cancel the fight. Which is bullshit, especially in this case, since Silva tested positive for actual performance enhancing drugs.

That fight should have been scrapped. Didn't Dana even say the reason they didn't scrap the Jones fight is because he didn't test positive for a performance enhancer? That's why the NSAC kept it hush hush until after the fights, because they are on the take and needed to protect the UFC, and their pockets. If they let this info out before the fight Dana would have had to cancel it. Tens of millions of dollars were on the line.

Dana is a slimeball motherfucker. I can't wait for the day when some fighter gets sick of his disrespectful mouth and knocks his teeth out.

At this point, Ronda's best weapon is probably the psychological edge she has on her opponents. It seems that when that cage is locked, any rational game plan that her opponent may have is thrown out the window and desperation mode kicks in before the fight even begins. Between this fight and the second fight with Miesha Tate, I can't figure out for the life of me what game plan these girls are going in with. Miesha stated she wanted to "beat Rousey at her own game" and tried to grapple with her even though she was doing not too shabby in standup exchanges. Cat, well, I'm not sure what she was thinking at all. I don't see why one girl just doesn't try to commit to a game plan involving striking and keeping Ronda at range. Ronda's good on her feet too, but at this point you gotta pick the lesser of two evils.

Women's MMA is not deep enough yet. The co-mainevent featured a woman with a 5-5 record. Ronda is lightyears ahead of everyone as far as grappling.

Zingano went full retard.

My new favorite women's fighter Alexa Grasso won this weekend. I couldn't find the interview on youtube to embed it. I'm torn between her and Joanne Calderwood. I might lean towards Alexa because she doesn't have any tats.

Ronda has a massive athletic ability advantage over pretty much everyone else in her vision. Out of all the combat sports/martial arts judo probably has the most female participation. The fact that Ronda was an Olympian in judo shows that she's a big fish in a very big pond. The accomplishments of women like Sara McMann with her silver medal in wrestling and Holly Holm's boxing titles pale in comparison cause they are big fishes in small shallow ponds

That's interesting. I would've thought wrestling would have more female participants. When the women's division started, McMann would've been the one I picked to be able to defeat Ronda.

Apparently Ronda Rousey broke 4 ribs of this male reporter. I don't think Ronda would be as close to as dominate as she is with men who have had the same amount of training she has had...But unlike this idiot, I'm not fool and know I don't want to tussle with her. Judo/Jiu Jitsu is not about size and strength its about technique and leverage.

Ronda Rousey says she won't fight a man: 'There's no setting in which we should condone a man hitting a woman'

Quote:There are people who are incredibly curious about how Ronda Rousey would do in a fight against a man. They're never going to find out.

Doug Gottlieb asked the UFC women's bantamweight how close her fighting a male was to becoming a reality Thursday and Rousey bristled at the question.

"It's not a reality," Rousey said. "They're not gonna do anything like that. Fights are chaotic. Anything can happen. And there's no setting in which we should condone a man hitting a woman."

No setting? Does that mean that if Ronda were to hit some guy he'd be obligated not to hit her back just because she's a woman? Despite the fact that she literally makes her living as a professional MMA fighter?

It's ironic (to me) how when it comes to fighting to the death (front-line combat in the military) men are considered sexist pigs for thinking women shouldn't be there, but when you broach the subject of treating them as equals in fighting as a sport they "bristle" at the suggestion.

All this talk about Rousey beating men is laughable. Rogan is a fucking idiot for perpetuating it. Anyone who has trained knows she has very little chance of beating even the worst of UFC fighters. She would get absolutely man handled all day long. It's hilarious to read about all of the limp wristed faggots going crazy online, calling anyone who says Rousey can't beat men chauvinists and screaming sexism.

There seems to be a lot of MMA fans that have a SJW mentality. At least among the very vocal ones online.

Could just be that those ideas have penetrated the general population as a whole and I just notice it more among them because it's one of the few things I follow closely.

Hey,

Just watched that video where Rhonda Rousey throws the interviewer.

I think one of the reasons that he broke his ribs is that he was thrown on wooden floors rather than mats and he doesn't break fall at all.

One of the first things that any beginner is taught in Judo is how to land.

She also doesn't guide him down correctly as well and deliberately lands on him on the way down, which in some Judo circles is a complete no-no as it can cause injuries.

That wasn't a wooden floor. It's puzzle mats with a "wood" faux finish.

I don't think Rogan was SJW-ing in this case. He wanted to say something that would generate hype and controversy and get people talking and it totally worked. Rogan said she could beat 50% of men in the 135 lb weight class in the UFC and Ronda played along by upping the ante and saying she could beat 100% of men.

As for SJWs in the MMA fan scene, just look at the comments section for a Bloody Elbow article. BE is a great blog but it's definitely infested with SJWs.

I do. They put on consistently great cards. They are doing the smart thing by having most of their shows in South East Asia and promoting local hometown fighters in order to slowly build up a local fanbase that will tune into shows regularly as opposed going all in like Affliction or Strikeforce did in it's later years by throwing a bunch of money to acquire big name fighters only to go kaput a few shows later.

Exactly, to me it looks like she did it maliciously, they weren't fighting, he was letting her set up the throw for the camera as in to show how the movement is done and she purposely landed on him. I think she tried to hurt the guy on purpose, it sounds to me like she has a huge chip on her shoulder, always trying to prove how tough she is and that she could hang with a man in a fight.

I can't understand the love people have for this woman, like RioNomad said, it's laughable that some think she would have a chance against a man, it's just ridiculous, but then again a while back I read in some other forum a thread titled something like "can your girlfriend kick your ass" or something like that and you wouldn't believe how many guys said that not only their girlfriends/wives could indeed kick their asses they felt safe and were proud that she could and bullshit like that, and a bunch of women saying that yes, they could kick their bf/husband's asses, I kid you not. The percentage of guys saying that no way a girl could beat them up and of girls saying that no way they could beat up their boyfriends was frighteningly low, I was shocked at the disconnect from reality.
