Many mainland Chinese people dress horribly. In the US I can usually tell the difference between FOBs from mainland China and those from Taiwan. Mainland FOBs are not into their appearance as Taiwanese women. I've come across quite a few mainland Chinese women in the US who have really short hair who could be mistaken for men from a distance. A Chinese FOB told me that there was a craze for women to have short hair in her home city in China a couple of years ago.

Yeah my Taiwanese grandmother always praised women in her country, Shanghai, the well to do in Hong Kong, but said the rest in China were very low class meh, lol. I hear ya!

I had initially missed your comment regarding your stature, and wow, this does go to prove relativity of the way that people consider weights, based on people around them.

We also know that China has been progressively moving towards eating more westernized junk foods, so if these trends continue, then it seems that the fattie epidemic will be hitting a large number of those main-landers, too.

Regarding personal weight and my perception of my own weight: I am a Caucasian guy in my early 40s and about 5' 9", as well (like you), and from about my early 30s until about my late 30s, I hovered between about 185 and 205 lbs... actually slowly and almost unbeknownst progressing upward in body weight through that time-period.

Even though I had been considering myself somewhat stocky, I suppose that I would have been considered a real extensive fatty b/c my BMI was nearly 30.

In about the past 2.5 years, my weight came down, without calorie restriction, but instead just changing to eating low carb and increasing my consumption of fat from meat... and anyhow, in about the past couple of years, my weight has been hovering between 170 and 180.

I have the sense that this is a pretty good long-term weight for me - and currently, my BMI is about 26.5, which is still considered slightly heavier than preferred, but I had read studies that show that people live longer with a slightly above normal BMI as compared with people who live with a slightly below normal BMI (call that rationalizing, or what? )

Ha! To be completely honest though, I thought Peru was alright as a whole. I had a good time there, but the girls were just ugly. I'm sure it's better than a lot of places. If I had to rate it 1-10, I'd probably give it a 5 or 6. I still want to check out cusco, Machu Picchu, and the amazon. I just feel that with all the great countries surrounding it, Peru should probably be the 5th or 6th country on your list for places to visit in South America. It's not that Peru is terrible, it's that Colombia and Brazil are so much better.

I've met only one attractive Irish girl..and she's not even that attractive

Overall Portugal wasn't great but the one girl I made out with there in 2 nights was really cool, surfer chick working for quicksilver, and cute but not beautiful.

Denver as I have said before on the board often. Rare to see a hard 7. Because there are so many guys that move there for outdoor sporting and there is no beach or body of water for girls to have bikini season the girls just don't have to try hard at all. Lack of makeup and sexy clothes, and they love to drink beer. It is a heaven for girls that are 5's and 6's that can get a very in shape climber, mountain biker, rafter, skier, snowboarder etc... at very decent discount.

Dutch girls: I agree. very over-hyped with very few that have some talent.
Russian girls: I guess since I am also from eastern europe I just can't find them "exotic" and think they aren't anything special.
Hungary: another overhyped place

I wouldn't call England "overrated" since I never had big expectations of english girls in the first place, but yeah the quality there seems low in my opinion.

On the more positive side:

Switzerland and Sweden surprised me very positively, though I encountered some problems in Sweden and think that if I visit Norway some day it will be even better than Sweden. Hopefully this notion applies and to Denmark since they can't be that different from the rest in scandinavia.

Also looking forward to Germany to see what it has to offer...

There was probably some mixing with Celts. Yet, after 1,000 years of mixing and re-mixing in such a small island, a new tribe is born.

I disagree with you. Mixing does not create beautiful people. Mixing plus selection might, however. Generating genetic diversity is half the process. The other half is to aggressively select phenotypes. Constant war and a permanent shortage of men should ensure that only the prettiest women procreate.

Russia has lots of mixing and lots of selection, which is why their women are hot. Portugal has lots of mixing but not much selection, due to the fact that Portugal never had devastating wars and was never conquered by anyone (other than Napoleon), and the result is that the women in Portugal aren't very impressive.

Athens, Greece. Majority of girls I saw there were ugly and wore makeup like they were clowns. I went to a nightclub (forgot the name) which was okay, but very disappointing. Greece is a funny country. Most of the jobs are hospitality based, so during the travel season all the talent goes to Mykonos. But when Mykonos slows down, the hot girls go back to their villages in Thessaloniki or whatever, and live with their parents.
