Let's talk about our Progressive friends tweeting their stupid hashtags, and the Cultural and Financial Imperialism they impose on the poor suburbs they want to colonise via Gentrification.

The Inner Sydney suburb of Redfern, 1984:

Redfern, 1989:

Progressives are Degenerate at heart, and have an aversion to the natural world, which is why as the SJW / PC culture took over in the 80's and 90's, they started fleeing the suburbs for the inner city, and the land became very valuable.

Thus, the aboriginals were deliberately driven out of Redfern via colonisation and government intervention, simply to make it comfortable for white progressives.

Guess who is there now?

From an article on Redfern, 2013, in which no black faces are shown:

Quote:The change occurring in the central and western parts of Redfern is increasingly noticeable: funky bars and retro furniture shops swinging open their doors along Regent Street; cafes clustering opposite Redfern Park following a no-expense spared park upgrade in 2008; and on the western edge where Redfern borders Darlington, the Abercrombie Street cafe strip forms one of the most authentic little villages in the inner city.

No, the Authentic Little Village was the Aboriginal Housing Project, The Block, which was torn down and the majority of families resettled elsewhere.

Quote:For the gay and lesbian resident, Redfern offers a more edgy and urban atmosphere than many other inner city suburbs and, of course, it’s within striking distance of the city, Newtown and Oxford Street.

Barry O’Meara has lived in Lawson Street for 10 years, while his partner Crispin Rice has lived in Redfern for 16 years on top of that. They live in a terrace house across the road from the infamous (but now demolished) ‘Block’ on Eveleigh Street and a mere 50 metres from the bustling Redfern train station, which delivers a constant flow of uni students.

And:

Quote:He predicts that Redfern in 10 years from now will be “even better than it is now”.

Hopefully there will be even more restaurants and cafes stretching through Surry Hills, Redfern and Waterloo,” he says.

I bet there's no Somali residents in Redfern. They're all shipped out here to the country, where their gangs are fighting the aboriginal gangs and tearing the city apart, all of which the media ignores.

Preaching tolerance diversity is the mainstay of homogenous progressive communities and their stupid little coffee shops, ugly art galleries and retro furniture shops, all of which they think are unique, but they could be equally describing Fitzroy Street in Melbourne in the 1980's or Manuka in Canberra in the 1990s, such is the insufferable McDonalds like-blandness of the environments rich white people like.

There were 250 aboriginal families in Redfern in the 1980's. There's less than 20 left.

Good thing they kicked Julien Blanc out so the women of Australia would be safe.

@Bosch where in the country? Confused In Victoria all the refugees are in Melbourne.

Back to the siege itself. Confirmed 4 injured (3 hostages and 1 police officer) and 3 dead (the gunman, the cafe manager and a female lawyer). Apparently the cafe manager tried to overpower the gunman and got shot. The lawyer is an unattractive 38 year old but her face is all over the media because she's a mother of three and from a wealthy Eastern suburbs family, apparently she died trying to protect a pregnant colleague.

https://au.news.yahoo.com/nsw/a/25772503...ce/?cmp=fb

Quote:The gunman was attempting to shepherd hostages from one side of the café to the other, when a small group broke away and ran for the exit, Reason said.

Six minutes later, a group of five hostages ran from the Martin Place exit, fleeing to safety.

It was unclear exactly what prompted the rapid escalation, but it was reported gunman Man Haron Monis fired his shotgun.

Reason said a call came from police communications that there was a “hostage down”, prompting the officers to storm the building without warning.

Percussion grenades designed to create loud flashes and bangs and disorient their targets, were tossed into the room. They lit up the windows where the hostages had been forced to hold an Islamist flag in the first hours of the siege.

As police stormed the building, gunshots rang out and officers equipped with night vision goggles filed into the room from two entrances.

http://www.news.com.au/national/martin-p...7157498633

Quote:THE manager of the Lindt cafe who was fatally shot in the Martin Place siege is being praised as a hero, responsible for allowing others trapped in the cafe to escape.
Tori Johnson, 34, was wrestling a gun from hostage-taker Man Haron Monis when he was killed.
It is understood the cafe manager decided to take action when the gunman began to doze off after the siege had been ongoing for 17 hours.
He lunged at the hostage-taker’s weapon, allowing others to flee.

This explains what I mentioned earlier that a hostage escaped, then unarmed, unarmoured men in shirts and ties stood near the door along with some SWAT guys, then ran back for cover to the sound of gunfire, must've been cafe manager getting shot.

RE: Terrorists hold 13 hostages in Sydney chocolate Shop
Let's be real here. The OP started a topic regarding a bad situation which he thought was due to multi-culturalism. To me that became part of the topic. There's a reason why I asked him to elaborate; it's a legitimate request. Based on the comments seen so far it's interesting how divided people are in understanding the causes.

This situation obviously has Islamic extremist connotations. Multi-culturalism, however, is now used as an easy scapegoat to bridge the gap between the real issue and the marginal and elementary level of education people have on the subject. People have 2 choices as immigrants; take the easy route and get with your own kind, which may in a few cases lead you to a disaster like this OR work your ass off to get a top education, join that country's military, learn its language and overall add more value to that country's economy than he or she received. The latter people get next to no love even though they busted their ass to just get to square one. That's their burden and it's real. Being of the latter, the lack of love doesn't bother me because I rest on the fruits of my labor instead (as should everyone). I am generally silent when a topic like multi-culturalism comes up because they know how lacking the general population's understanding of it is. I guess not this time.

Basically, it's like this. You came to the U.S./U.K/Australia some years ago, say from a very different Eastern country and look very just got discharged honorably from its military, now you're using some benefits to get a college education so you can further add value into its economy. All of a sudden 9/11 / A bombing / A shooting happens. You leave to go home and on the bus you get evil eyes from a lot of people when someone finally says "go back to your own country." That is some people's understanding of multiculturalism. Now I'd say most people are likely on the fence regarding this until an excuse comes up and a corresponding reason comes up. That doesn't happen until a tragedy happens. Now the hypothesis can be proven according to them. Yet, all it shows is how low consciousness people are in general (regardless of race) and how easily they can be manipulated.

OP, maybe is not a troll and neither are any others who commented on such things as the "white man's burden," and how "right" the OP is. I would think these guys have not really been graced with the burden of moving to an alien place and given the choice to assimilate or not. It's a tough choice, that can fuck people up socially and mentally as we know.

(12-15-2014 02:12 AM)The Reactionary Tree Wrote:  To the guys trying to egg on the OP, cut it out. You know he's right. You are just being political correctness trolls trying to get him banned. I understand race and culture topics are controversial.

However, the OP is right. When we in western civilization open our borders to the entire world without discriminating against who we let in, then we shouldn't be surprised when we let in people who are hostile to our way of life. This is what multicultural immigration policies have done. They have turned our homelands into battle fields. 9/11? The London bombings? The London beheading? Rotherham? The Ottawa shootings? Fort hood? Literally dozens of incidents throughout all of Europe? Now this. We invited all those people to live in our societies with our multicultural immigration policies.

I say, what about the achievements and progress by immigrants multi-culturalism has produced. Let's start with the Greeks, Italians, and continue on to the Chinese and Indians. We remember the older ones but we shy away from the more recent ones.

(12-15-2014 03:47 AM)sixsix Wrote:  How is linking this attack to multiculturalism controversial on this forum?

Almost everything we discuss is about culture, society and behavior. It's not about race.
You can chose and change your culture and religion, and are accountable for what you do.

This attack, like the many others, speaks against multiculturalism because it shows what happens when you allow the mass immigration of people that act according to very different beliefs and values, without assimilating. A country can be peaceful and multi-ethnic, but have multiple cultures in close proximity is bound to cause conflict.

Culture is about how to behave and how to communicate with each other. People from different countries with very dissimilar cultures will therefore experience interface problems. Borders help, and tourists know they have to adapt. Multiculturalism on the other hand is throwing oil and water together and being surprised they don't mix.

Yes, but look at the world. There is not one country out there that is NOT multi-cultural. It's a way of life. Are we going to gravitate towards something so general when there are more highly relevant sociological (e.g. assimilation issues) and psychological (e.g. mental issues) at play.

If you aren't interested in discussing it, then don't stir the pot.

It's like slapping someone in the face and then telling them that they can't hit you back, because you aren't interested in violence.

Once again, I thought his original statement was funny, but his follow up was not appreciated by myself and clearly others as well.

I just think that he wanted to be safe because he realized that he may not have a full understanding of what multi-culturalism means on an extremely multi-cultural forum.

The islamic culture is taking over the western world, both due to high birthrates of islamic women in western countries and also due to political correctness where you cannot criticize islam, and therefore the culture is allowed to seep in.. Even in my little town of 35.000 people there is a ghetto full of muslims, maybe 500 meters from where I live here in Denmark.. It is impossible for me to walk through when the sun has come down without getting hunted or attacked, and my father who is a firefighter has to have police escort when the young muslim kids burn off cars and containers. Islam and modern western cultures are like what was said earlier in this thread, like oil and water. In UK there is the whole Rotherham scandal, sharia zones and so on. In Australia they apparently failed to keep this man in prison. A man who probably killed his own wife and have 40 cases of sexual assault on his name. Cultural Marxism..
A lot of kindergartens here in Denmark have banned pork in the kindergarten as to not offend anyone. It's sick.

I understand your focus on the negatives but I'm sure I can give you at least one individual account where I was attacked by white kids. I just don't advertise it or blame it on the "whites." Just the same, this shit isn't exclusive to some "muslim" love for evil and violence. You're just around fucked up people.

I have the opposing view, Islam is being liberalized here in the US. Reason being most muslim's I've met drink/smoke/party/fuck etc.

There aren't any hard boundaries like there once were, most 1st generation muslim Americans are secular/liberal (that I've met). They also adapt more American culture than their own.

Now for muslim immigrants it might be a slightly different story but I see most as being open and adapting American traits.

An obvious major reason for it was the blowback from 9/11. Of course yes there are extremists and yes they're the ones who get the media attention like this retarded asshole in Oz.

But I have a positive views of the changes, granted in more concentrated areas that are predominately muslim, you'll see the standard customs.

The US will never ever be like the UK or those European countries which are suffering from Sharia Law, Sharia Patrols, and "Multi-Culturalism" as the OP put it.

Kaotic has been around both homegrown locals and muslims, so yes he gets it and I see credibility in his views.

I have been on both sides of the coin. I came from India, assimilated, joined the military to "become" more American. Yet, I still remember one teenager implying that I should go back to my country when I was picking up a sandwich after a shift guarding my ship with a 9mm pistol in uniform. That kid had a lot of charisma. The charisma that it takes to get a group's buy in. The same charisma that an extremist leader has. That kid would be old enough to post on the forum by now but hopefully his views changed.

Rant over, don't mean to offend anyone.

More specifically than multiculturalism itself, a big problem is "Known Wolf Syndrome":

http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2014/12/15/syd...-syndrome/

Quote: [I]n the U.S., too, in many of the domestic terrorism cases the culprits had already been identified to law enforcement as problems. In the present case, not only was the suspect well-known, but he was out on bail on murder charges related to the stabbing and setting on fire of his ex-wife, with whom he was in a heated custody dispute.

Monis came to Australia in 1996 from Iran and his immigration status was that of political refugee. He has since had other well-known run-ins with law enforcement. In 2009, he sent a series of hate messages, which he deemed as “flowers of advice,” to the families of Australian military members who had been killed in action. He likened their deaths to the deaths of Hitler’s soldiers, as well as to families of Australian victims of international terrorism attacks. He was given 300 hours of community service.

In another case, Monis was charged with 50 counts of sexual assault, where it was claimed that he lured victims in and assaulted them claiming it was a “spiritual healing technique.”

We’ll undoubtedly learn more in the days to come about the intentions and motives of the suspect in the case. The evidence at hand clearly indicates that Monis was another example of the two-faced Islamic cleric. In this case, Monis claimed that he was “an Australian who wanted a safe future for our country” (HT: Stewart Bell) while simultaneously — and openly — hating the very country that gave him refuge.

It was a very bad move by the authorities to send everyone to close parks, that created a very good target to harm a big numbers of people in one place, worst considering there was chance two more bombs were around the city, the best thing would have been tell them to go home.

I guess if I ever move back to Australia I will be moving to Broome, Cairns, or perhaps Geeveston, Tasmania (I can't quite see if it's outside "the zone").

Anonymous Bosch: It's interesting that you mention Redfern. My understanding of Redfern used to be that it was an aboriginal suburb. I guess as recently as 2004 it was. A crazy woman at the train station in Bratislava was accosting me and kept ranting about Australia. I thought, "How the fuck does this person know I'm Australian?" Then, I looked up at a big TV screen and there were images of aboriginal youth facing off with police and throwing things in Redfern. Then, in 2012, I went to visit my sister, who was then living in Sydney. When she told me she was living in Redfern I was concerned. Yet when I got there, I couldn't believe the place. It was yuppy central. That change had occurred within less than eight years.

Likewise, I've seen it in Melbourne. When I first arrived at the University of Melbourne in 1994, you could literally go out any night of the week and within a ten minute walk from Brunswick Street be spoilt for a dozen awesome venues with awesome bands. Yet one by one, they fell. At one point (not sure about now), the Rochester Castle (where I saw many great bands, including the Brown Hornet, whose live performances regularly ensued absolute mayhem featuring pogo sticks and fire breathing) became a gay bar. The Rainbow Hotel (not a gay bar) supposedly had Australia's longest residency. Paul Williamson's Hammond Combo played every Monday night there for well over a decade. They now play there once per month. I went back to the Rainbow (a location where I'd seen people like Chris Wilson, Lloyd Spiegel and Geoff Atchison also on more than one occasion) a few years ago and they'd completely revamped the place, with a massive emphasis upon the food now. As you mentioned, St Kilda is in a similarly sorry state. The root cause, of course, was yuppies moving into the suburbs and then complaining about noise.

This ride with you initiative by people sticking together will either be a success or be futile.

Imagine if a non Muslim western male did that in Pakistan or Egypt etc etc etc (kill innocent people or terrorize) there would be thousands on the streets protesting, burning embassies down. Case 1 wacko in Florida wanting to burn the Quran, case 2. the Danish cartoons. These fellas didn't kill anybody but the lack of discipline or common sense the protestors had show what the world is dealing with.

Tolerance and forgiveness are much more common in other parts of the world. It's sad to say many parts don't share the same values.

1- The response from our own local Muslim population after the radicalised nutters try to kill a policeman with a knife (for instance), it’s small and token.

If I was religious and my faith was being dragged through the dirt I would be out on the streets protesting, outing the radicalisers, separating myself from the radical end yet they are deafly silent and the ones that do speak out are tiny compared to the massive iceberg like majority.

Perhaps our legislators should think more carefully about matching similar cultures in the first place as far as assimilation goes as it seems that these acts raise the "us and them" debate in response

I already said why this was difficult to do: first, you should have a consensus within that community. It won't happen overnight: the innate cultural and racial differences between Arabs and Non Arabs are already high enough to prevent that.

Secondly: as CRR (I think) pointed it: some of these guys just want to integrate and live their lives. They will not care about the issue of Islam, especially when they still remain foreigners in the eye of the public ( his example with the guy who told him to go back to his country) and have literally nothing to gain from having others publicly recognizing their country citizenship.

And third: humans are lazy fucks. The same way you probably are Christian, care about some Christians murdered in the world, etc, but you don't give THAT MUCH fuck actually. I don't really expect you to get up and organize a mob to protest against the Irakian/Iranian governemental policies. This is the same mechanism at work. People just DGAF.

Multiculturalism isn't bad. and while I have my personal thoughts on many posters here in this thread and on this site, that isn't the issue either. The only thing that these countries need(Austraiia UK, Sweden, France etc) is to

1)stop that sharia law zone, and special zone nonsense
2)arrest and deport those that commit violent crime who are refuguess,
3)have strict immigration policies (Think Japan, New Zealand)
4)those who are naturalized citizens need to be treated as such
5)stop talking in refugees and asylum seekers for a while (until the "bad immigrant" problem gets solved.)

That's it, countries can still take in refuges, immigration but, in the aforementioned countries, someone needs to grab their balls and do the above, and deport those/arrest those people who break the law in protest.

When it gets bad enough. This will happen anyway. Race, multicultualism has nothing to do with it, when a guest in your house(country) is acting up, that guest has to leave, period. If the guest doesnt abide by the rules/aws of the house/country, they've got to go.

No one has the balls to kick bad guests out of their homes yet except for NZ, Korea, and Japan(trust me, you DO NOT want to be a "bad guest" in those countries.)

^^^New Zealand is not like Japan, it's stricter than Europe or the USA for sure but it's easier to get into than Australia. Many immigrants go to New Zealand first and live there long enough to get citizenship, then use that to move to Australia for better opportunities since they have freedom of movement with each other. Overall both have 1/4 of their population born overseas.

I think there's a fundamental misunderstanding of multiculturalism here, where all immigrant groups (Poles, Arabs, Koreans, etc.) are put at eye-level and are considered equal, despite enormous differences existing in belief systems and moral framework - the source of the friction. It's peddling the same cultural relativism that got us here in the first place.

Probability and ratios cannot be taken out of the equation either. A good measure of the success of certain groups is examining statistics. For every 5 families that integrate, how many do not? For every productive member of society, how many collect money or commit crimes? And when you begin to look at statistics and probability, VERY clear trends emerge.

Islam is a religion, it's a belief system and an ideology. Muslims can come from any number of countries or ethnic backgrounds, and even natives are able to convert to this religion.
This has nothing to do with ethnicity or race, it's entirely ideological. Those who renounce this belief system or adapt it to be more aligned with Western values have an easy time integrating (see posters above) and generally do very well in the West.

But the problem is that within the Muslim immigrant population, so few are willing to do this. It's a problem 100% specific and unique to Muslims, compared to any other group. Italians, Greeks, Poles, even Americans fit right in among other Western countries because we come from the same Judeo-Christian background and have adapted certain standards of public behavior. They are ethnic groups, while Muslims are typically both a separate ethnic group AND a separate belief system.

Indians, South Americans, and East Asians are perfect examples of ethnic groups that come from very different backgrounds, but integrate well. Why? Because there's no religious dimension to the same extent as Muslims.

So the question is no longer "Is multiculturalism bad?", but rather, "Are we allowing the right groups of people in?"

What a sad day for Australians.

I can't quite believe we haven't had more incidents like this here in the UK.

Non Brits, especially Americans, would be amazed by what they saw if they visited the inner city areas of most of our regions. They are becoming more and more ghettoised and Islamic with each passing year. This is the result of millions of peasants immigrating to the country from the poorest regions of Pakistan; ill educated and culturally backward. The benefits of this wave of new comers are completely non existent.

Up until recently I thought we might ride this through but I'm afraid England is a lost cause now; things have gone too far.

I am actively looking to move out of my city and to the countryside.

Amen to that!
But seriously, talking to something you can't see, touch or feel smacks of mental health issues to me.

The thing that shits me more than anything however is:

1- The response from our own local Muslim population after the radicalised nutters try to kill a policeman with a knife (for instance), it’s small and token.

2- Our local media spin saying that everything’s OK, the guy had mental health issues, he’s not really a Muslim, he’s a madman. (see earlier comment)

Are you drunk?
If your not, please re-read my comment properly, then make a reply
I am a little embarrassed for you and thats OK

I quoted the wrong guy.
No need to be an ass about it ffs.

I think the simplest way , in the US at least, that is realistic to keep out destructive characters is screen like hell on education or seriously needed skills like certified underwater welders.

No cheap labor.

You can't screen on race/religion, that's a wing nut dream for the foreseeable future, it's unconstitutional. It's fine not to like Islamic nutjobsm , but since most of the country is non-white you're not too bright if you think you're going to pass a constitutional amendment institutionalizing racism or anti-muslim laws.

There was that ONE nut job psychiatrist that murdered people on a Military base, but look at the 9/11 hijackers- NO COLLEGE GRADUATES.

This is from a government paper on the hijackings:

7.3 ASSEMBLING THE TEAMS

During the summer and early autumn of 2000, Bin Ladin and senior al Qaeda leaders in Afghanistan started selecting the muscle hijackers-the operatives who would storm the cockpits and control the passengers. Despite the phrase widely used to describe them, the so-called muscle hijackers were not at all physically imposing; most were between 5' 5" and 5' 7" in height.83

Recruitment and Selection for 9/11
Twelve of the 13 muscle hijackers (excluding Nawaf al Hazmi and Mihdhar) came from Saudi Arabia: Satam al Suqami, Wail al Shehri, Waleed al Shehri, Abdul Aziz al Omari, Ahmed al Ghamdi, Hamza al Ghamdi, Mohand al Shehri, Majed Moqed, Salem al Hazmi, Saeed al Ghamdi, Ahmad al Haznawi, and Ahmed al Nami. The remaining recruit, Fayez Banihammad, came from the UAE. He appears to have played a unique role among the muscle hijackers because of his work with one of the plot's financial facilitators, Mustafa al Hawsawi.84

Saudi authorities interviewed the relatives of these men and have briefed us on what they found. The muscle hijackers came from a variety of educational and societal backgrounds. All were between 20 and 28 years old; most were unemployed with no more than a high school education and were unmarried.85

So, it wasn't a distraction at this point in time, but my point about demoralisation through soft targets stands.
