From what I can understand:

A really high profile ugly game designer woman slept around with some journalists and game developers. She got found out and people who play video games started calling her a slut and questioned the ethics of her getting good game reviews from people she was sleeping with.

The mainstream Media for some reason gets involved even though this is about video games and doesn't really seem newsworthy at all. They take the slutty woman's side saying she is 'empowered' and attack the thousands of people worldwide that play video games calling them misogynists and losers. People that play video games at this point get sick of the Media's bullshit and try to take down all the journalists who write crappy articles about them - they call this GamerGate.

Mike CF gets caught up somewhere at this point.

Ex-NFL punter Chris Kluwe wrote an anti-Gamergate article. Somebody on twitter called out Mike saying some shit like "I bet that anti-bullying guy won't fight an NFL player for charity" and Kluwe retweeted it. So Mike accepted the challenge and Kluwe backed out.

Gawker and all these SJWs are hustlers. Viewing them as anything but amoral, selfish beings is detrimental to understanding them and anticipating their actions. Gawker will not sacrifice profits to avoid hypocrisy. SJWs will clamor for free speech when advertisers withdraw from supporting them.

Ironically, before this whole Gamergate thing really blew up in the past couple days, I messaged Roosh with a suggestion for hurting Gawker, or at least Jezebel:

Compile a list of prurient, hateful, graphic content from their site and then show them to commercial internet filtering companies to get them to restrict access to Gawker/Jezebel. These filters are typically installed by companies on work computers and such. A lot of Gawker traffic is from people at work, and companies are eager to prevent a 'hostile workplace' situation, and thus often install filters to ban pornography, hate sites, etc.

This site is probably already banned on those filters, for the simple reason that lots of nudity and pornography is on here.

Summary for people who do not get it.

Mike was crticising people in Gamergafe for hipocrisy and bullying. Nfl player got involved.

Mike found out that this NFL player had indicated he was aware of a statutory rape involving other NFL players that was hushed up. Mike tweeted about this.

The NFL player threatened to sue him for libel over this, and it appears that Mike has lawyered up and is getting ready for the lawsuit.

I can't imagine a 'worse' person to go after for claims of libel and slander than MikeCF, between his integrity, intelligence and knowledge of the law, as well as the talent of his lawyer. Of course, we all know Chris Kluwe will back down from every single challenge he issued to Mike.
