I got invited to hang out at a buddies house last night with a few other bros. I get there and this guys fiancée is there with her smoking hot sister from out of town. I have never met theses people, but game the fuck on. I run a little asshole game on this girl. she responds with slaps on the legs and shoulders pretending she's all hurt by it. Then this dudes cousin comes over (he's about 6'6' 285 lbs.) and EVERYBODY starts shit testing me. I hold my frame pretty good but the girl shuts down on me. After a venue change and heavy drinking the bitches eject and the main bro (the affianced) starts chiming in with "why were you such an asshole, they don't like it blah blah blah" . I ended up getting in a shitty pissing match with this guy
by the end of the night. Now im a little depressed because I tried to apologize and he held out his fuck you attitude.
I don't care about the bitch, I didn't think I was being overly assholish and she seemed into it. and if she wasn't, I'm learning and I'm open to learning from my mistakes. But this guys attitude was like "you need to be nice, be yourself etc." But being myself never got me any pussy before. I talked to this girl way more than I ever would have, also I didn't give much of a fuck if she was impressed by me or not, and I was the pretty dominant mother fucker until "big fuck" came over. Even then I wasn't much intimidated or deterred. My problem is I like this guy, we're friends, I want to make amends with him but I am pretty unwilling to swallow his shit. Sounds like you overdid it if several people noticed and got involved; asshole game doesn't work well in a social group like that with a girl you don't know.

Rage, for us new guys at least, I've noticed a paradigm shift that takes place in early game development.

Our family values, upbringing and social perspectives had thusfar infected us with an overwhelmingly beta outlook and overall mindset in our earlier years.

Because of this, when we first start delving into this whole game thing, newer guys are going to lean heavy on the asshole side. We are trying to break free of previous social conditioning but lack the calibration and experience that some of the more seasoned vets will have.

Ive noticed this from myself as well as other guys that are still learning the ropes. Its just simply a phase of our development. After a while you will naturally know when to tone down your antics, and when to turn them up.

About the other cockblocks, here's my take. You introduced yourself as overt competition in a group that feels otherwise "safe" and tightly knit. You were likely giving both girls serious tingles. This wasn't well-liked by the fiance or the musclehead guy who saw you as an interloper threatening their status within the group.

TL;DR: Work on your stealth.

Thank you, my sentiments exactly. I am at my core the epitome of beta fucking nice guy. It never got me anyplace with women. I figure I might get into a fight sometime. Not that I desire that by any means but I've never been in one. Kind of a side note I guess. It feels good to stick up for myself. I think one of the girls complained I was being an asshole so I'm learning, but I refuse to say "oh this doesn't work" and go back to my old thinking. When I feel too noticed or scrutinized in a group setting, these are all mantras from the forum I repeat in my head to stay in the zone.

I've found that as long as I hold my frame the power dynamic will eventually shift back to me, asshole or not.

I feel like In the end it always comes back to frame. Frame is contagious, and it sounded like the muscle guy's frame was the strongest of that particular group. Its not an easy thing to cultivate and to be honest I still will find myself slipping from time to time.

But I think that the very action of noticing, and checking your frame puts guys like us ahead of most other males. Remember that there were also a lot of things going on that night that were outside of your control. This dude had long-standing rapport and a rep with both the girls and the rest of the group. A group you were trying to infiltrate for one of its females.

I think you did the best you could with the hand you were dealt. But these guys (and girl) knew what was up. At least you polarized yourself to the chick for future reference.

Tinder girl flaked on me tonight last minute, so I went out for dinner at an acquaintances restaurant. BSed with some guy at the bar for a while and then some friends came in when I was about to leave.

Got a beer at their table and chilled for a bit and some gorgeous brunette in a patterned dress came in with a group of girls sitting at the bar. She also seemed to know the owner but was glancing my way and we made eye contact, when she walked by later I opened with a reference to the dress pattern, if it was made by xxx because I had a similar shirt. Couple back and forths getting a "taken and in the presence of friends" vibe and she said, "Clearly you have good taste then" and walked off.

After close drinking and talking with the owner a bit and asked,"What's the deal with the brunette in the dress, married?" He says,"That's her boyfriend right there", the guy who was cooking with him and was sitting right behind me.

Didn't turn around to see if he heard and left almost immediately after. What do you even say after that...

Pros:
- You get to work on your crowd game; it's a good feeling when you know a cute girl's friends like you

Cons:
- Her friends could be total bitches

I'm regularly seeing a girl who always invites me out with her friends. In the past, I've had bad experiences with friends of girls i've been seeing (boring, immature, annoying, talk about stupid shit, etc.). Why dont you go, and invite some of your male frienda to come along. It'll reduce you having to deal with her friends and they'll be grateful to you for inviting them to a party with decent ratios and a bunch of new people to meet.
