Finally decided to register, been trolling these forums for a bit, read the books, etc, etc. I've seen a not insignificant (double neg) amount of Scandinavia bashing and I'd like to give my own experience in the land of the vikings to the mix.

Little context on me. 30, white/japanese, decent looking but by no means a juicer or model, still relatively new to game as a distinct focus but always done fairly well. Co-founder of a tech startup, wealthy but not obscenely [email protected]#$ you money, my time is typically more constrained than my bank account. I've been living in Copenhagen for the past 6ish months and will likely be here for another 12 or so. Traveled ALOT, EE, asia, etc. United Global Services if that means anything to you. Scandinavia and in particular Sweden and Denmark where I've spent the most time are IMO fucking amazing places so much so that I'm even considering living here indefinitely.

Girls range from 6-10 in a normal distribution centered around the 8 area. You rarely see a fat girl in Copenhagen primarily because of the (well documented) biking culture. Girls here are independent (ie work, have their own bank roll, etc) and therefore many guys are intimidated, don't be. Girls will buy you drinks, let them, girls will pick you up at the bars, fk yes. Tinder is a godsend here, use it. Being American is fairly neutral in the city but as soon as you head outside of the inner city and out into the smaller cities in Denmark you can achieve a similar white god status to what I experienced in parts of Asia and EE.

Culturally this is where I think most guys have problems. Denmark is a tough place to visit for a short period of time. Groups of friends are close nit and unless you have an in you'll find it hard to break through on anything but a superficial level. That said if you do have an in or if you spend some time here with forced interactions (school, work, etc) you'll find yourself in what I call "bro heaven". I could write a book on the intricacies of Danish male culture but suffice it to say that guys here at all ages (20-35) are bros, they drink together, they pass girls around, they smoke bud, they party, etc, etc. For me, it's awesome, I love it. The best part about Danish culture is a general lack of judgement for whatever lifestyle one chooses, want to be an artsy drug addicted, great; want to be a womanizer who works at a fast food joint, fucking awesome; want to bum around on your friends couches for a couple years, go for it. They truly are one of the most unjudgemental people I have ever met.

That said there is some bad sides to the socialist egalitarian non-judgmental culture particularly professional opportunities. Part of the reason I wanted to provide the initial context on who I am is because I think my experience is somewhat unique to my situation. Denmark is not the place you should come as a young man with ambition. There's a term (can't remember it this second) that effectively means pushing a person down, or don't think you're better than anyone else. I've seen a number of expat friends of mine who are not as fortunate as myself struggle to find stable employment and especially struggle to realize any ambition promotion, raises, etc.

Ok getting bored with my own writing, speeding things up.

Sweden is fucking heaven if your view of heaven is slutty barbies, mine is. Swedish girls have a broader range than Danes 1-10 but the special part about Sweden is the fact that you will find a disproportionate number of 9s and even 10s relative to most places in the world (Norway probably beats, save that for another time). This creates the paradox mentioned a few times around these parts of girls on a relative basis seeing themselves as lower than they are. Where a 9 would normally think she was the shit in Sweden she's just another tall blonde chick. Pair this with a general lack of game on the part of the men in Sweden and you've got an awesome combination. As mentioned all over stick to the tier 2 cities especially if you don't look aryan as you will immediately come off as exotic. Dress well, be aggressive and slay barbies all day long.

Similar cultural issues with Danes however $$ goes a lot further here in terms of status than Denmark.

Denmark: Aalborg is a good bet and Aarhus as well. Girls from Jutland - in Jutland - are known to be a lot sweeter and down to earth. Copenhagen is a socialist hipster university bastion which corrupts every girl who goes there.

Also nice write up OP, I strongly agree Denmark is not a place for a man with ambition, in fact if you completely lack ambition, then it might be ideal, since achievements doesn't matter much in getting girls. I disagree that the girls are not fat though, almost every danish girl is 5-10lbs overweight, not american fat, but it's rare to find a slim girl, most danish girls imo have a bit of a 'matron' look, not fat exactly, but large, big bonestructure and fat in the wrong places (not on the ass and hips, but on belly and arms).

Swedish blonde girls are still the gold standard in Scandinavia imo.

Roosh gets it pretty much right in his book. Prime game is good looking, persistent, confident, nice/conformist guy. As OP writes, a girl will often take quite a bit of initiative if she fancies you, not that different from british girls in my limited experience with them. It can be a challenge if you're a more outspoken personality with strong opinions. That's not a quality most danish girls appreciate. Be well dressed, well groomed, look for IOIs, approach with confidence and be non offensive, go caveman after a while, is what I found to be most effective.

I always get the 2 main drivers against Scandanavia as pussy paradises are:

1) very expensive
2) girls are not very feminine

A distant third would be the male
competition is very good looking and well dressed... but they have weaker game.

Cost is definitely an issue, but if you schedule properly and wait for a good offer on AirBNB then you can find good deals. I've been staying in Copenhagen in 1 bedroom apartments with kitchens for about $40-$70. The key is to find someone who is going away on holiday or better a longer study abroad thing, then get a discount on several weeks. Another way to save money is to not take taxis which are very expensive, but you can rent a bike which all the locals use anyway or walk, since all scandi capitals are rather small.

I didn't get to spend much time in Sweden and Norway (yes, they are expensive) but from what I saw, Norwegian girls, on average, were hotter. But the 9s in Sweden are jaw dropping. I'm talking skirts, heels, skinny but plump in the right places. 99% of them I saw were taken or in a massive group. I chatted one up outside a restaurant (model quality body) and within 2 minutes her crew swarmed me. The average Swedish girl is variable. Some are thin, well kept, others adopt the chubby hipster look. When I first landed, I wasn't that impressed. But if you walk around for a few minutes, you see the gems passing by.

Don't get cocky by thinking Swedish guys will roll over and let you just take their girls at night. They may not approach but they have close knit groups. In the night time they can cockblock with a smile. They'll let you run your set, then come in and make friends with you. It's hard to fault them as they're quite friendly and one guy and his girlfriend said they were going to help me pickup.

Norwegian guys can be more alpha at night and have no problem trying to invade your space. A lot of them have $$ or summer houses so they'll run an entourage game and invite a bunch of girls back to their place for nachspiel (afterparty). Big groups, 4 people to a cab, a row of cabs, real expensive.

Scandinavian girls are receptive to daygame initially, although it wasn't easy converting numbers to dates. Having only a week didn't help. I was texting with 2 Swedish girls who went away for the weekend and by the time they would be back, I was off. The question with daygame is if you want to foot the cost for 2+ weeks in one Scandinavian city to take girls out. I managed some daytime bouncebacks but no dice.

As has probably been said before, the most optimal strategy for a traveler is going for the ONS.

While Norwegian girls were hotter on average I found it easier to talk to Swedish girls. Yeah they love American pop culture but the whole interaction felt more fun and easy going. Norwegian girls were a bit aloof and businesslike (especially if they were giddy about being in Oslo). Girls from the countryside were more open and pleasant.

One girl I approached said "listen if you need to pump one out, get on tinder or meet a nice drunk girl, I have to buy flowers now." Another girl asked if I was trying to pick her up. "Yes, obviously" I reply. "Oh, sorry I'm with my friends right now." Another one I approached in a grocery store and after 5 minutes she said "listen I'm really busy today but let me give you my number and we'll get a drink this weekend." Flake.



I've been meeting a bunch of Danish girls in NYC and I don't know what to think. Last week I met 2 who were gorgeous (the whale of the group reminded me the one talking to me had a boyfriend and took her away, the other wasn't interested), a couple had potential but took the hipsterism too far, and a few others had natural beauty that was nurtured with bad diet. One of them had a beautiful face and body but walked and acted like a man, gruff and square-shouldered almost. I talked to some Swedish guys living in Denmark and they told me Danish girls are the best fucks, Swedes the most boring. Again, no idea what to think. Now I can't stop looping "their bodies are the shape of coca cola cans, they walk in such an aggressive way that you want to move out of the way so you don't get hurt".

As of my current experience, I'd say overall: Sweden > Norway > Denmark (met some, haven't visited).

Work on your career in UK, Germany, or Switzerland. Visit the other European countries for fun.

The interesting thing about Jante's law is that America works on the exact opposite principle. Most people are taught to be a special snowflake who deserves maximum spotlight and entitlement at a fairly early age. Not to mention the competitiveness in America is very cutthroat.

I was in Arizona in May at a hostel near the Gand Canyon, and a Dane from Jutland. A blonde and boring and almost painfully shy guy, until your got him to drink. Then he opened up and got chatty - and much more fun!

Yes, if you Google, then you'll find hundreds of such stories complaining how scandis can't be social without drinking. A bunch of letters from expat women complaining that danish men don't hit on them without the use of alchohol. The cost is definitely prohibitive which is why I provided my personal context in the OP. For me it's not an issue but I've had friends come visit and even with them crashing at my flat they found it rough. The interesting thing about price is that from my experience is pushed towards the middle on both ends ie the very expensive is cheaper and the usually cheap is more expensive. Pretty much every meal is ~100kr or $20. There's also some fantastic high end dining/nightlife that is cheap relative to similar in NYC, SF, LA, LV (Noma anoyone?). I'll try and pay more attention when I'm back in KBH and give a price breakdown.

This is true but for me not a big deal. As a matter of fact I kind of like it, let me explain. The manifestations of this that I've seen are things like girls buying guys drinks, paying for dates, etc. Case and point one of my first weekends in KBH I was out with a friends and asked him "how do you pick up on Danish girls?", his reply "1. walk up to the bar, 2. grab the end of the bar, 3. don't fall over". Sure enough about 5 min later some chick had her hands down my pants sucking on my neck. Now let's be fair this chick was a 6 at best and we were in one of the grimier establishments in town (moose) but it serves as a good example of the "not feminine" nature of the girls. All that said I have seen in my friends some of the negative sides of this particularly around relationships, girls often wear the pants and the dudes can turn into bitches. This isn't a big deal for me as I'm not really looking for anything monogamous but it's worth pointing out as a negative.

The cities I would have mentioned as tier 2 were in one of the threads so I won't rehash. In addition I would add the outskirt districts of KBH like ama and norrebro.

As for the "homely" look I would classify it more as hipster with both the good and bad that comes with that. Weed culture is big in Denmark, if you're into that sort of thing (I am) then it's an additional plus. The Danes even have their own very specific and meticulous method of rolling that I haven't seen anywhere else in the world.

On the last point the men, it's true. Competition is high in Denmark as the men are good looking and well dressed. That said they're also fucking awesome and because of the general culture of not getting married, and fucking around I don't find the competition a problem. Sweden is similar in looks/dress but the guys have even worse game from my experience making it that much easier to pickup.

re: daygame
Daygame is a bit of a problem, primarily because of the tight nit friend culture I mentioned in the OP. That said once you're in you're in and even though the groups are tight they are very broad with tentacles that reach throughout the whole country which is small as fuck (population) btw. There literally isn't a night I go out with friends that we don't run into friends of friends, etc, etc. That said... Tinder, it fucking rocks, learn how to use it. Also learn how to spoof your location to outside of KBH and you won't even have to travel to the tier 2 cities, make em come to you :-)

re: why denmark is generally awesome IMO. not in order...
- weed culture; open air markets, smoke anywhere, yes I mean anywhere and of decent quality
- hot women; promiscuous, actually fun to hang with
- non-judgmental; be and do whatever the fuck you want
- drinking culture; drink anywhere, I still smile everytime I crack a beer while walking home, drink alot, drink all the time
- close to sweden; when you need that barbie fix
- easy to travel to and from; case and point 1.5 hour flight and now I'm in Budapest

Closing it out. All this is very much my personal experience driven by my specific circumstances and the luck of having some awesome friends there. I do think Denmark is a tough place to visit briefly specifically for picking up unless you've got some friends to show you where. However ya'll are in luck as I live there now and as long as you aren't a raging piece of shit I'd be happy to show people here around town. Paying it forward just like Source is giving me tips while in BUD.

I'll try and remember to put together a list of spots to pickup both day/night when I get back.

I haven't been to DK but Sweden is incredibly easy to game if you are used to shit markets like London and NY.

If you can make it happen on a cold January in London then Sweden is a cakewalk in comparison. I look Northern European though , am not sure it would be so easy for an Arab or South Asian

I would say though that while the women are beautiful and easy they are mentally bland. Ikea and Volvo , but you can see why Sweden never produced any writers, artists, philosophers or inventors. Having a discussion with a Swede is particularly painful as they are so conformist, they remind me of our old manager Sven. I would hate to live there. They are ridiculously politically correct as well at least in public

Swedes also really like British culture. If you are a British guy I would strongly recommend giving it a go.

One funny thing about Sweden is most Swedish guys are heavily into non-Swedish women. I saw alot of couples in Sweden where the couple was a black or Asian woman and the man Swedish. Not as many the other way around

I think it's because they are so emasculated by their women they dont realise what good catches they are. While they lack game they have good looks but they are not operating in cock fests like London so there is less cock blocking as its unnecessary.

The girl at 3:10, and the girl at 3:45 don't seem politically correct at all, which surprised me. Which countries are they from, if anyone can tell? As I get the impression Sweden is the most PC out of the three.

Edit: The girl at 1:10's English is amazing. She sounds like she could come from the Home Counties, apart from the odd tell here and there.

If you come to Sweden, day gaming is not really recommended. I hade situations where i approached women they gave me their number and then flake alot. Living here i learned all to well that night is the time to game or social circles to meet women. Swedish women are really approachable especially at night. The price for drinking is expensive in clubs are really expensive and a beer price can range from 39 kr to 70 depending where you go. About Swedish political correctness its true. As Crackshot said being British or American could be an advantage. Had an American friend over from the us, white decent looking he killed it. British guys same thing. Brown dudes shouldn't have a problem as long as they dress well and have game.

Looks like Sweden and Oslo to me

Norwegians are very un pc the men do military service and their special forces are very tough. They are real Vikings, into hunting, hiking and adventure sports.

The Swedes on the other hand are into technology and have no real army although ironically they are one of the worlds biggest arm exporters.
