Most US Jews have become like the golden calf worshippers who abandoned God to worship a foreign God

They believe in all sorts of modern Shit even if it goes against the fundamentals of their religion

They need a Moses who will go and put them straight as they have become decadent and immoral. No close families, supporting homosexuals and atheists, valuingmoney over God.

Why do Jews need to be religious?

- Judaism is a religion and not an ethnicity but anyone born to a Jewish mother is automatically a Jew even if he never has a bar mitzah and eats bacon sandwiches every day for the rest of his life

- You are racist if you are against inter-racial couplings but Jews should only marry other Jews but don't forget that Jews are a religion and not an ethnicity as pointed out above...BUT STILL Jews should only marry other Jews in order to preserve Jewish bloodlines, er wait yeah.

Why is it that someone who was born in to a Catholic family but later turns against his upbringing (like many Catholics do) is no longer an Catholic but a Jew who is never raised with any Jewish religious traditions is still a Jew? Why is being a Jewish atheist not an oxymoron and also quite a common combination? Does Jewishness have an advantage over other religions in that unlike being a Muslim or Buddhist it can be transfered via DNA since anyone born to a Jewish mother is automatically a Jew even if he enjoys inhaling bacon will reciting selections from Mein Kampf? Why do I know Jews that are not only not religious but hostile towards religion but still insist that being a Jew is a religious identity and that they are Jews?

You could talk to 1,000 people and get 1,000 different answers.

Maybe the only thing that is clearly defined would be in religious texts re: the mother.

But it is also possible for say, a catholic to convert to judaism.
And there are former jews who have converted to other religions too.

It depends on who is doing the defining, doesn't it. Jews debate this as well. For example, apparently Ultra-orthodox probably do not consider a secular jew to be a jew.

In the end the best answer is probably that it's a rather personal question.

Who is saying this? Jewish religious law? Some person?

In the US jews predominantly inter-marry and do not raise their kids jewish anyway, so it's not clear what you're hot under the collar about.

Anyway, isn't that the way it is with any religion? Someone who is a deeply religious christian or muslim will probably prefer to marry someone within their faith. Or if they inter-marry determine how to raise their kids. Again, it seems to be a personal question.
