Hey, so I'm trying to just work on my conversational skills by talking to everyone. Unfortunately, after they initial 1 minute I go blank.

I definitely need some help/tips/drills advice regarding rambling just to keep it going. I was adept my whole life at making everything concise and cutting out superfluous talk. Now I have to do the opposite.

I met with this hot realtor agent and i couldn't continue other than
Her: it's cold outside haha
Me: Yup, its definitely nippy, had to throw on the jacket.
Me: So where were you before this
Her: Another leasing agency. at blah blah.
Me: where were you before leasing?
Her: Still leasing haha, yea all the time (smiles)

she was being nice cuz i was a client, but I still stood there for 3-5 minutes without being able to think of something. (waiting on another person)

I've already read Roosh's books and been browsing the forum.., any practical drills, advice would be greatly apprecciated

There's a 100% chance she was just being nice because you're a client. That's like trying to practice game with a hooker. Forget that situation.

Next time you see a random girl just go talk to her and say whatever interesting thoughts you have. Don't ask questions unless it's a smart ass question. Just try to entertain yourself with your own conversation. Talk about your surroundings, talk about how weird her shoes look, whatever. Just make it interesting and opinionated.

Avoid girls that sell you shit especially as a newbie. I had a cute israeli girl sell me some adore stuff and gave me her cell number. I texted; no response. LOL.

One practical thing you can do no matter where you are is to sharpen your observational skills for future conversations

Beyond the weather, let your current surroundings work for you.

Does she have a sports team logo on her bumper? ask about her team pride. Ramble and Transition

Is she wearing an Autism Speaks shirt? ask her if she volunteers or participates in their charity races. " "

Is there a big news story that's relevant, let her express her views and have a view of your own etc. " "

In a situation like the one you described, you did try a follow up question (good rule of thumb) to get her talking about herself and more personal history, but she didn't bite instead she kept it short and sweet. Since she was on her business she probably wasn't going to open up anyway.

Did you really read Daybang? Roosh's daygame model encourages you to learn a few rambles in which you drop bait. You keep it going and going however unreal it feels until she asks you a personal question. From there you run galnuc.

Yea I've actually read it. I've run galnuc. Just wanted to reach out if there are any more tips or resources. I'm really bad at it, even after using Roosh's ideas and templates

I did not want to come off condescending to the guy but if he had really used the material from Daybang, which has loads of information for this very issue, then I don't see why he would be struggling so bad.

I've sucked at starting and maintaining conversations throughout my life, especially with women, but Roosh's model has given structure to what a conversation can ultimately be. If the day bang model is not working for you then you can check out what El Mechanico said on rambling. I'm just to trying to help you blackliter:

As you have clearly seen, how much improvement happened, this Way helped him a lot more...

The following drills may sound stupid, but have been useful to me. I chose/developed them based on the neurology of rambling, which is a long topic I'll go into some other time.

1) Get Rory's story cubes (http://www.storycubes.com/) from your local toy/games shop. These are cubes with random pictures on them, and you are supposed to string them into a story. Roll them once a day and come up with a story. I find this particularly useful to do before going out, especially if I've had a rather quiet day where I haven't talked to people - playing a round or two of storycubes seems to warm up the speech centres of my brain.

2) Get the major arcana of the tarot deck. You can buy a deck or be a cheapskate like me and download the images and then print them on cardboard paper. (I can upload the images as a pdf, if anyone wants). Then pretend that you're going to read someone's future (imagine a hot chick in front of you), and shuffle the deck, then draw 3 cards. The first card represents the past, the second the present, the third the future. Look up the meanings on http://www.tarotteachings.com/tarot-card-meanings-of-the-major-arcana.html. Now make up a fortune based on the meanings, and ramble on to the imaginary person all that will happen to them. (Once you get good at this and remember the meanings more or less, you will even be able to do actual tarot readings on real-life girls. The one time I did this I added a kino element - I put the cards in the girls hand and I put my hands around the cards and her hand to charge it with 'psychic' energy.)

Both these drills are hard to do at first - I certainly struggled at times to say anything - but they've definitely improved my rambling in general, it takes less effort for me to talk. Again, this relates to the neurological wiring of the brain's speech centres, being able to ramble about tarot or about random pictures on cubes gives some skill transfer to being able to ramble in general.

Direct the conversation to anything you notice. You can be funny about it. Rambling is just talking shit consistently. I'm sure you do this with your friends.

Rambling is to just talk bullshit and take over the conversation. Therefore take it in a positive direction and one you will both enjoy. If I am going to spend 5 minutes talking to her I sure as fuck don't wanna talk about her previous 'realtor' job and I don't care about her leasing arrangement or whatever it is.


I like Russell Brand, he is a fine example of rambling.
