She never contacted me, and I couldn't slip out of the workshop to get help from anyone else. I had to give my lecture with the handout as-is, and the professor was very unhappy.

I was pretty pissed, but mostly at myself for trusting such a turd of a person. I sent her a frownie face text and resolved to forget about it, but her response had me livid. The original was obviously in Japanese, but this is the gist: "I'm sorry. I have the flu and was incapable of contacting you. I cannot go outside, so I couldn't meet you this week." I responded with the following: "You knew I was having trouble with the handout for today's presentation. If I'd known you couldn't come, I could have found help elsewhere. The professor was very critical of my handout. You were incapable of contacting me? Were you hospitalized? You had two days. You could have texted me at the very least." (Curse words work differently in Japanese, so this is much more harsh than it sounds... Imagine some F-bombs in there) She read the message about 5 hours ago, but never responded.

I got to thinking about it, and I believe this experience will make getting flaked on easier for me. Japanese girls are notoriously flaky. They'll even blow off shit they set up. But they don't understand that they've done something wrong, so it's almost useless to get angry with them. In some part of their mind, girls know they're being dicks for flaking. However, they also love themselves. They resolve this cognitive dissonance by placing the blame on you for getting angry. I flaked because dude is weird/scary/creepy, therefore I'm in the right. This analysis pops up in many game-related materials, but it never had as much weight in my mind as it does today.

In the end, responding to a flake in just about any manner besides indifference is like getting upset at a dingo for eating your cat. It doesn't know it's wronged you, it just did what it wanted. No matter how much you yell or cry or beg, all it knows is that you're unhappy for some reason and that cats are delicious.

Next time I experience a flake, I'll remember this event and be ready to next the bitch at any time.

I have been banging two women on the reg for the last few weeks. I think most often it is because certain expectations (conscious or not) are not being met, and you are angry. Other potential reasons include not believing in abundance, or believing in it but not really believing that you can easily find replacement girls (I think this one is common).


But 1) they do not know about your expectations, and 2) they are like children and just don't think of the world like we do. I know this may sound like I'm suggesting you let them off the hook, but really, there is a river of pussy out there. If one spot is a little cold, just move downstream. I didn't think I'd ever say those words.

It's a weird thought. I asked the wrong girl out. All I did was ask her to coffee - said I was curious to get to know her (she's been stopping in my starbucks often, and only when I'm working; I've spoken with her quite a few times - got a bit of a gold digger vibe, but she seemed nice - probably slightly egotistical from being pretty). Within 3 hours I find she managed to find a girl I've been dating a little bit and let her know I asked her out - I don't really know much more than the fact that the girl I've been dating told me she doesn't think we should see each other any more. My mutual friends with this girl haven't spoken with me - I've got like 4 friends/acquaintances that in this girl's social circle.

I guess in the end it doesn't really matter, but there were people in the social circle I was looking forward to get to know. There were interesting and cool guys there. I may be ostracized from it now, as this girl has quite a bit of influence in the circle.

Didn't see any Russian or African girls there but a hell lot of western guys. Had an other girl the next day but she didn't have any ID so couldn't take her to my room. She was not very attractive anyway.

Definitely noticed it earlier in the month. Working several possibilities currently that I picked up online in early December.

But this week has been dry as far as new leads go, at least for me.

I've noticed similar in past years. Somewhere in mid December the girls start focusing on family gatherings, traveling to family, etc, and there is enough going on to distract them from any loneliness.
