Tell me where that is and I will move there.
Another caveat:
Winter weather of Miami, Summer weather of Southern California.
Anyone know it?
I would say ATL is the closest thing to what you guys are talking about. Sans the beaches.
Nah, ATL is hot, muggy and rainy in the summer. SoCal is never muggy, warm but not hot, and it only rains in winter. Totally different.
Here is what my ideal of the perfect city would be if I had to create one from my imagination. It would have the geography and weather of S. California(Mediterranean climate), it would have great public transit making a car unnecessary, it would be dense and walkable and have lots of history and history architecture, the food and restaurants would be great, there would be world class cultural attractions, a beach, mountains to ski in the winter, it would have decent girls and maybe something of a romantic vibe to it like Paris or Prague.
The closest thing in real life to that would be Barcelona I'm guessing. Until I can up and move there I'll just have to settle for what we have here.

Dallas -excellent choice

Kansas City - a fucking dump...don't even (st louis - detroit as well)
Atlanta - excellent choice..can not go wrong...but the traffic is crazy
Tampa Bay - fuck no...
San Antonio - cost of living is great - women fuck no
Nashville -starting to sizzle...could be a great choice..i've heard nothing but good things from my friends
Charlotte - tight labor market..everybody moved down in the 90's - 2000's...cost of living is good and the women are good
Oklahoma City - it's Oklahoma..mobile home capital..nope
also consider
Austin, Phoenix, South Florida although the job market is tight, and New Orleans
Thank you so much for the feedback. I really appreciate it. Glad to here that Dallas and Houston are good. I'm a bit surprised and let down by San Antonio. I wonder what happens w/OK City - all the girls who I meet in DC from there are usually very cute.
Just so you know, the cities that I picked were intentional. They were cities with relatively small or no real estate bubbles (either current or in the past), and seem to not have been completely trashed by the recession. Hence, I deliberately left out Austin, Phoenix, S Fl, and New Orleans.
-Austin is recession proof: Has state governement, big ass university, strong tech scene and restaurants. I got family that live there and they were shocked when reading about other ciites because Austin just kept puttering...
-Phoenix...just has a ton of beautiful women period. You would be stunned at the quality in scottsdale and tempe. Plus you have access to Cali for expediitions...You can get foreclosed homes at low low prices. Only problem with Phoenix is that mass transit does not exist..

I am Canadian, dog. I don't nitpick about warm weather. Anyway you cut warm weather, it beats Canadian climates.
I hear you though. I lived in SoCal for many years and you can't beat the mediterranean weather.
Other places in the world with Mediterranean climate:

RE: Which major American city provides the best value for single men?
Lived in Chicago for 2 years, its great. However, I still don't think the people were as cool and friendly as the reputation seems to indicate. Their friendly for sure - but its not the most stylish city, alot of people who live there are from small town nowhere in the midwest, and it just lacks that cosmopolitan, edgy vibe that other big cities like nyc, l.a., s.f. have. Can't even tell you the amount of times where people were surprised at my rock n' roll or hip-hop style. Sometimes the attention was good, often though it could be alienating.
The venues tend to be shitty quality IMO. GOod bars but the clubs were pretty crappy compared to l.a. or nyc, but much less exclusive which was kind of nice.
Its still a great bang for your buck though. Real estate is good quality and cheap considering the size of the town, its diverse, has good enough public transportation, beautiful architecture.
Still prolly my 1st choice in USA.

For Austin, I'm more worried about a real estate bubble starting there. The real estate prices are considerably higher than the rest of Texas, for no good geographical reason. As far as I can tell, Austinites refuse to build any transport (either highways or rail) and probably put in land use restrictions to prevent the construction of new housing so current land owners can jack up rents.
Phoenix could easily have another bubble due to federal water use restrictions.
I'm not arguing about the women. I'm just trying to find the sweet spot between beautiful women, affordable real estate, and gainful employment. Austin, especially, worries me.
After growing up in DC, I want out of real estate musical chairs. It sucks seeing all of your money go down the hole for something that should cost half of what you pay.

Surprised New Orleans merits no consideration. Great mix of culture, food, music, freedom to do as you please, and winning combination of friendly, cute locals and drunk, debauchery-seeking tourists. Probably my favorite city in the U.S., I have visited many times (I live in NYC).
I love New Orleans, too. But if you are looking for work, the economy can be booming and it's still tough to find a job in the Big Easy. That's why I (sadly) will not consider it.

There is this guy at my company who goes to uruguay every three months and thats what he says about it.
1)There are plenty of fly girls, but the Punta del este scene is better.
2)Girls there dress very well and are thin.
3)There is a "Miami-vibe" specially in a Punta Del este, so the girls are to much into money, clothes, plastic surgery and this kinda of stuff..Cassinos/ resorts in the area.Lots of P4P.
When he told us here about uruguay I now can relate some similarities to what Mixx described about Miami.
If you have tight game and DHV somehow they are DTF.
He is average looks but I don't know if he has game.
