Also, I felt that I looked like shit, as I was wearing a big ass work jacket, an ugly sweater that I wear under my jackets in the winter that take off when I get where I'm going, and had two big backpacks full of stuff that I was lugging around. And going back to when I played hockey or soccer or whatever, if you look like shit, you feel like shit, and you play like shit. I remembered back though to something Dante Nero from the Beige Philip show (good podcast on pick up, women, etc. A continuation of sorts of the Black Philip show with Patrice O'Neal, which I feel should be required listening for every man in the RVF) said, and it was "Always be ready for the Super Bowl." This means, if you're going out, be ready to deal with these situations if the arise. I wasn't prepped, and it almost cost me. I will definately remember this from now on.
One last thing. Getting her digits was the perfect primer before meeting up with the other girl. Coupled with my pre-game routine of a drink, shower, good-looking clothes (refer to McQueen's and G's pre-game articles for details), I left my place feeling indestructable. That cockiness transitioned into the next date, which could have gone sidewys, but ended being a lay-up because of it.
I started by saying something about how she just made the bus before it left. She laughed (good sign #1) went into about how she had gotten lost in the town, and had to get back to the city we were going to. I left some pauses early on to see if she would ask me a question, which she did. Like any guy with some knowledge of game, I knew this was good sign #2, and I continued the convo. Turns out we go to the same school, and her building is beside mine. We talked the whole 60 minute trip into the city about things that I acutally cared about.
I asked, and got her number, but not before working myself up to it. It was pretty hard because I wasn't prepared that day to do any chatting, nor was I comfortable with the thought of her saying no, and us being stuck beside one another. I was also out of practice, as I haven't had done alot of day approaches (She was second one in the past year where I asked for a number), with much of my work being done at night. This indecision went on for a good couple of minutes before I got it out, and she gave it to me. She got off the bus first, and actually waited for me to get off, and took the subway with me part of the way. Yes, yes, thinking of it now, I could have escalated more, but I already had plans with another girl, who I knew was a slamdunk, and indeed was. I'll shoot bus-girl a text tonight or tomorrow to get the ball rolling into Defcon 2.
In these situations, I like to think about what I did well, and what could be imporved. Firstly, being nearly a complete rookie when it comes to day game, I had a hell of a time actually asking for her number. I didn't have a problem with the opener or convo, but transitioning into asking for digits was tough. I managed to half-assedly ask for it, and thankfully she didn't pull the ripcord. I'll have to streamline it better in terms of the conversation so that asking for the number is just the next logical course of action.

Starting today I'm going full blast- sending max messages per day on POF, using OKC which sucks around here but has lead to a couple of bangs, rejoining SA, reposting CL ads more often, working the few girls I still have in the pipeline, going out 3 nights per week minimum, might even try daygame which I never do.
Might also sign up for Match. com which I've haven't used; have no idea if it's any good around here.
