Is DC the Fake Phone Number Capital of The World?
Here is a question for the DC players:
I have noticed that DC is really the only place where I sometimes get fake phone numbers from girls.
I can go 100 straight legit phone numbers in LA or Miami from super fly girls, but in DC I get fakes. Even from girls that wouldn't cross the velvet rope in the dopest spots in Miami.
And it is not on "quick hit" phone numbers either.
Sometimes I have talked with a girl for 45 minutes in a bar, had a great conversation, connected really well, even kissed her and call a few days later and...fake number!
Unreal.
Even girls that approached me, gave every buying signal in the world and then...fake number!
I would even say the fake number percentage is way higher than even you see in Gentleman's Clubs.
Anyone else experience this?
What is the reasoning?
I sometimes wonder if it is because I look so much different than a typical DC guy and girls are just curious/fulfilling some kind of fantasy by talking with me, but are to lame/conformist to go all the way.
Thoughts?

RE: Is DC the Fake Phone Number Capital of The World?
I'm glad you've noticed this. In fact I would have never found this forum or Rooshs blog if it wasn't for the amount of flakes I was getting last summer.
I was making out with a solid 8(tall blonde) at madhatters one night last october. Her friends tried to cockblock me and she pushed them away and took me upstairs. She was all over me but she whispered to me "You're gonna get me in trouble". I don't remember my reply but later after we stopped making out I was gonna tell I was student but she cut me off and said.."I don't care what you do..you're hottt!!". I laughed, got her number and later her friends dragged her way and she left. I thought to myself "damn...this is gonna be cake when i call". I call 2 days later and hear her voice mail(she gave me the real number) and i left a message. I later sent a text. No reply..no text back.
Granted we were drunk and more than likely she had a boyfriend but still I could tell u dozens of stories just like this one. Thats why I always go for the SNL now. Numbers mean nothing in this city.
Here is roosh's take.. Flaking on the Rise theory
"Some guy emailed me with his theory: there is such an increase in fatties that the cute girls have way more options than in the past. Hence flaking is increasing. Sounds like it could be a factor. I do notice that there are even fewer cuter girls in D.C. than a couple years ago."
VK also talks about this in his blog. http://vksempireofdirt.com/?p=1274
"The reality is that for a guy to increase his chance of getting one date in this city he has to pull three to five numbers in a weekend. If you pull five, two will not pick up, call back or text back. One will be flaky and play text games, one will maybe meet you out here and there and finally the last will actually show up to the date."

RE: Is DC the Fake Phone Number Capital of The World?
ROFL on this thread, G!
I haven't spent enough time in DC to observe this problem there, but I can safely say that I've only received fake numbers one or two times my entire adult life. I still remember the last time: It was an ugly Indian girl that I shouldn't have hit up anyway. She knew my heart wasn't in it and probably spared me the embarrassment of going through the motions. Still, like the trooper that I was back then, I called her. I was shocked and appalled when a doctor's office picked up! In fact, I was so outraged and in disbelief, that I called a second time. I wish someone had taken a picture of my face at that moment. Hilarious.
Looking back, there's remote possibility she could have been from the greater DC area. I remember her area code being weird (not 202, but something odd for me) and she had "just moved" to my city from the East Coast somewhere.
Wouldn't that be something?

LOL on a girl giving you a fake number after sex. That, sir, would be hilarious. But if it's going to happen, it's going to happen in DC.

Especially compared to somewhere like Las Vegas where it is common to meet someone at 12 am and call them back the same night at 5 am to meet up.
Which is even more bizarre since the people you meet there are from all over. It is like something about that city changes people.
Either that or every super guarded/paranoid/weirdo person moves there.
Probably a combo of the two.
De-railing a bit I know...
I'll be in Vegas soon with VK and Rookie. I haven't been there since I spent a whole summer in the city 2 years ago. Any idea what some of the top spots are in 2011?
I've been to Jet, Tabu, The Bank, Tao, Pure, Studio 54, Mix, Tryst, and a few others.
We'll have VIP access to almost all of the MGM-branded hotels thanks to one of my hook ups.
